Ok, so his family has been very vocal, neighbors have made statements, coworkers, college classmates... And there's lots of pictures of him with family and colleagues...

Have any friends made statements? Has anyone seen any pictures of him in a social social setting? Any informal pics with people who are not relative, coworkers, or college friends?

I've dig around SM, but I just keep finding family, people he works with, or one-off relationships, like "my friend's brother is missing," or "I went to college with this guy.'

I have the impression that he is quite socially isolated. He seems to have a lot of acquaintance type relationships, and he's obviously very active in the community, but there don't seem to be any really close friends. I mean, he's well known, there's a lot of pictures of him... But none hanging out at a bar, no backyard BBQs, nothing informal except with family. He does keep his SM presence locked down, but other people don't, and you would think there would be some social pictures popping up.

Has anyone seen any evidence at all of a social life?

Social isolation is a big risk factor for depression.

I noticed that too.... a lot of photos posted by other family members at what appears to be family functions. There was a photo posted from his Morehouse days and a photo from a baby shower- both posted on Instagram and posted by “friends” in the wake of his disappearance, but outside of that nothing indicating he had a social circle. I think work was a HUGE part of his life.

if in fact he asked the neighbor to remove his number knowing that no one would need it...why have we only heard of one request not many? The short interview I saw with the husband he appeared very nervous...

I waited to reply on this case but something is really bugging me about what the neighbor said. I wish we had more context around it though.

I noticed the car, though backed in, is touching the garage door and seems almost to be touching the far-side wall of the garage as if to leave maximum room to the rear and to the driver's side.

The placement of the car would work for a conspiracy theory but why would someone else bring TC's car home? Or is TC a conspirator?

"Could someone explain their take on the way the car was parked. What do you see in the picture?"

Do we know when that picture was taken and who took it? Is it a police photo? Did the family take it? Was it a photo that was at the house?

Maybe Timothy uses an alias on social media to keep his professional and personal lives separate.

I found this -

"Joe Carlos, a close friend of Cunningham's from college and a neighbor in Atlanta, said that he and Cunningham had bought tickets to attend a gala last weekend that celebrated the anniversary of the founding of Morehouse, their alma mater.

“Our last communication the week prior was about hanging out before and going down to the VIP reception and enjoying ourselves,” Carlos said. “I can speak for myself and so many classmates that this is very, very shocking.”

His parents did not mention in any interviews that the car being backed in the garage being out of character. The only reason I can think that he backed in the garage is because his house and a couple of other houses have a shared driveway and then there’s a small area that branches off to the 2 car garage at Tim’s home and his neighbor’s home. He may back in to prevent possibly colliding with his neighbors or if they have young children possible backing over them.

This explanation makes perfect sense to me.

If they are serious about searching for remains they might look for freshly poured concrete. I hope we aren't at that point.

I have an active social life that my social media doesn't reflect. I'm fairly private online.

So I was actually in Chamblee on Friday. This is a very wooded area. One thing that has baffled me the entire case, and someone actually hit on this in thread 1, was how calm his parents is. As a parent, I can attest that you know your child and you know when something is wrong. They are calm to me. Not to mention, they are ALWAYS together, I havent seen his parents shed one tear. Now with that everyone handles things differently, and I in no way are speaking negatively. It just makes me believe that certain behaviors may be understood as common by him. Again, being someone in the area, ALOT of the searches and information are not made public knowledge until after the fact. Its odd. I understand he is a government official etc etc, however its very odd.

I don’t know where in Chamblee you were but Chamblee is not very wooded, especially where the CDC campus is. One side is Buford highway and the other side is an airport.

Also, almost all the interviews with the parents were done on the same day. They must have been exhausted, and I would not be surprised if they had been given something by a doctor to help with their anxiety.

From the photo that has been posted here, it appears that it is a two car garage. And it is a divided two car garage because in the reflection you can see the carrier that is centered above his car. And therefore it is a two entry garage versus a one door garage.

Ah, that's it...I thought it was just one door. TY for posting. Makes sense now. I have had a strong feeling, no facts to base it on, that someone had been staying with Tim before he disappeared. And that's why I wondered if another car had been parked in the garage.

I wonder if Tim belonged to a church, had a pastor, or a church community ?

This story reminds me a lot of the Mark Schlegel suicide this past summer in Oradell, NJ. I followed the story because my job is not too far from the area. From the articles in the newspaper I read, Mark Schlegel was a talent agent described as successful, well liked & respected. A day after returning home from a trip in Scotland with his wife for their anniversary, he had morning coffee, took a yoga class, shopped for groceries and had a Skype session with his granddaughter. He walked out of his home that afternoon and was never seen again. Some neighbors had reported seeing him walking with a gift bag in his hand with a purpose. A week and a half later his body was found a half mile from his home on a main road in a small wooded area that separates businesses.

Even after his death people were convinced it couldn’t have been suicide, but a case of homicide because he always had a smile on his face and they felt with the life he had there was no way he could have committed suicide. As much as I don’t want to think this way, I think this disappearance will pretty much end the same exact way.

Tim’s 2 car garage faces the 2 car garage of his neighbors he made the comment to erase his number. I’m under the impression Tim belonged to a church because in an interview with his parents his mom had said he called her when she had just gotten home from church and she had asked Tim if he had attended church that day and he said no.

I found a post from a woman referring to Tim as one of her best friends, she posted a picture of the two of them together in what I supposed to be her baby shower, Tim had a "sticker" that said "God Dad to be". I looked at her Instagram and I found another pic of the two of them socializing. So at least he had one good friend.

There is a thread on my Atlanta neighborhood Nextdoor site posted by one of Tim's good female friends. The Nextdoor thread has generated a good following and Ive seen many of the same comments and opinions as those that have been discussed I've here on WS. People are still commenting on the rhe Nextdoor thread which is keeping Tims case from fading, IMO. I also read an article online (I'm not sure if it's from a approved source so I'm not going to post the link) where another of his friends named 2 of Tim's favorite bars / clubs in the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta and also stated that Tim enjoyed spending time in both Piedmont Park and Centennial Park. So, yes, although he comes off as quiet and a loner, it sounds like he enjoys getting out socially with friends.

I read somewhere one of his friends saying he was the guy you could count on to help you shift furniture, or go out for a meal with, so i think he was not a loner.

The username Tim used for instagram, twitter and youtube is "tjurel"

https://www.instagram.com/tjurel/
https://twitter.com/tjurel
https://www.youtube.com/user/tjurel

It appears he ALSO used this username for his email accounts on gmail, hotmail, aol and yahoo

Here's an article he wrote for Science Magazine in 2002 where he gave the aol email address: http://www.sciencemag.org/careers/2...d-universities-tradition-and-progress-science

It appears he also used to play on chess.com
https://www.chess.com/tournament/122608/player/tjurel

And had a soundcloud account: https://soundcloud.com/user-562979587

Can anyone find additional social media with that username or by searching those email addresses?

Maybe run it through the wayback machine and see if anything was deleted?
(I'm not able to use the wayback machine on my current computer or I would try it myself)

I ran tjurel with all email variations through Wayback Machine and came up with nothing.

Hey y'all. I am trying to catch up as this thread has really taken off since my last check-in. I'm a former resident of Tim's neighborhood and also worked at CDC for a little while, though not at the Chamblee campus. I didn't know him but have to wonder if we ever crossed paths at home or at work. Thanks for keeping the discussion going for Tim's sake.

Thanks pink! I'm not surprised all his SM is locked down or old but I'm surprised he does not have a linked in or other professional-related accounts. Maybe there is another username and email address he used for more recent accounts?
