Police searching for missing Henry County man

A Locust Grove man with dementia has a lot of people looking for him.

Two police command stations were set up: one just over the Butts County line, another at Osborne’s home on Peeksville Road. At least 70 officers and first responders reportedly were mobilized early Wednesday morning. Helicopters, boats, drones, heat-seeking cameras and K-9 teams combed the rugged, hilly woods and reservoir near Osborne’s home.

They came out with helicopters last night, with the heat-sensing equipment. They went all around here and then today they’ve had the K-9 out, 70 to 90 officers out on ground looking,” Christian said. “They were getting leads or a scent, but two dogs went to the same area.”

That was the Baptist church, where the dogs reportedly picked up and dropped Osborne’s scent, leading to speculation that he might have gotten into someone’s vehicle there.

Oh, he has dementia. That makes a bit more sense. I wonder where he’d gotten off to back in the summer? I hope they find him safe and soon.

Body found in Cobb County field after fire

ETA-

Officials told FOX 5 the discovery happened around 1 a.m. Sunday near the Regency Inn on the 600 block of Cobb Parkway in Marietta.


According to Marietta police, the fire actually started in a field behind the inn and burnt 2 acres of land.

After the fire was put out, crews discovered a man's body in the field.

So far, police say they're not sure if the man died from the fire or was dead before the blaze.

The body has now been identified as 53-year-old Marietta resident Mark Foster.

So far, police say they're not sure if the man died from the fire or was dead before the blaze. Investigators say there are no signs of fowl play and it appears to be a tragic accident.
