There is no way that I would allow a guy like this in my home. Dukes and his ex-wife were convicted of theft while he was in the Army. I remember reading a lot about this case way back. I don't remember all of the details now.

Lott testified 3 weeks after #taragrinstead went missing, there was a party at the “pecan orchard” and either Bo Dukes or Ryan Duke stated “we killed and burned her body”. Lott could not remember which of the two made the statement. He says both Duke and Dukes laughed about it.

This by the way is why-I think-this #TaraGrinstead trial is happening at all. I think any crime from October 2005 other than murder is barred by the statute of limitations.The state later indicted Dukes for the alleged lying in 2016 because the original indictment isn't valid IMO

Defense for Ryan Duke asks judge for permission to appeal pre-trial decisions in Grinstead case

"...WALB got copies of two motions filed by the defense asking Irwin County Superior Court Judge Bill Reinhardt to certify a couple of his orders to allow them to file a pre-trial appeal.

Recently, the judge denied both the defense's motion to postpone the trial and the defense's motion asking for funds to get expert witnesses and an investigator...

The judge has the option to allow or not allow the defense to appeal prior to trial.

Ryan Duke's trial is set for April 1, 2019 in Irwin County...."
