GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

I would think that LE would want to know if there were drugs and/or alcohol in their systems as part of the investigation. For example, if one was impaired but was shot and killed first but the other one had no drugs and alcohol, a different narrative develops than if both had no drugs or alcohol.

We will never "know" because there is no film but we can fill-in the picture or connect dots with added information. JMHO

I've been reading everyone's thoughts on this case and I agree with most, it is strange.
I believe it would be extremely difficult to face the facts that a family member, who showed no outward signs of turmoil, would commit suicide. The GBI definitely knows facts that we are not privy to.

As for possible choice for suicide- perhaps they thought of a place they could go and see beautiful scenery, to be on top of "Georgia". And I can understand leaving wallets and phones in the car, so that they could be identified as well as the items being returned to their family members. As for boarding passes being printed, I did the same the very 1st time I flew. I wasn't chancing any computer glitches, etc. The men could have simply driven around a closed gate if the landscaping allowed it (some areas have huge boulders next to these simple gates, while others have nothing there).

I would like to know more about the twins. Did they have a girlfriend? What have they been doing since they graduated? Are they in school or working? What type of jobs did they have? Another big question I have is was their family not concerned when they had not heard from the twins? Was it usual not to hear from them for a day or not check in when traveling? For example, we always text or call to let my family know where we're at during flights. They also have access to our location and my mom actually likes to track the actual flight, lol.

IMO, something happened either recent or has been going on in these young men's lives that caused them to make a decision to end it. I know one or both of them were into clothing design. Did someone take their designs or "catfish" them into sending money to support their business?

I'm sharing these stories below because I had a "wow" moment, a brother killed his brother. It makes me wonder, is there a dark web page for twins.

I hope the family gets answers to all their questions soon.

Do we know for sure their wallets and phones were in the car? I assumed they were on their person. I remember the detail about their tickets being in their wallets, (printed I do same.)

The twins' family said until their bodies were found, they never head Bell Mountain.
They said the twins' phones, wallet and plane ticket were found inside their car. They said the twins' stepmom mentioned bags were found in the car but didn't elaborate on what was inside the bags.

Something feels off.

Why it matters: it is Ramadan, and if they were minimally religious, definitely it is not the time to commit murder/suicide.
I gently disagree.....

Ramadan- and especially the Eid feast, Christmas, and Hanukkah all feature a certain number of humans under stress trying to make everything perfect.

Some of these humans can also be dealing with what can be a sense of holiday forced and family / community expected "togetherness" that can lead to associates, friends, immediate and extended family members quickly running out of tolerance for each other.

In the end, just like a certain number of stressed out nominal and devout Christians commit suicide or murders around Christmas, my bet is that Ramadan and Eid also feature a certain number of either nominal or devout Moslems doing the same thing. Ditto for Jews and Hanukkah or Passover.

In the end, as Depeche Mode sang, "People are People..... ."

I really don’t understand why any toxicology reports would matter in this situation since the autopsy said both were shot in the head.
the immediate cause of death is likely gonna be the massive head trauma due to gunshots. the tox would bolster ones confidence in a manner of death; recreational levels of ethanol or street drugs in both of them may encourage a ruling of suicide x2, while a dissociative drug in only one of them may lean the pathologist towards murder suicide, and very strong levels of an incapacitating drug may imply they could not have physically pulled the trigger.
^all examples, i have no knowledge of what their tox may show

If you were an EMT and you are at a scene and people start talking about suicide. You clearly see that its not. What would you do?
With suicide the position of everything means a lot. What is in that EMT's photo? Why did he take the photos?
GSR (Gun Shot Residue) being on the hand.
Location of the gun at rest.

The family needs to start asking gating questions like the phone pings. When did the twins arrive at the parking lot. Check all carriers for other phones pinging in the area at that time.
Who was the owner of the gun.
At the time the EMT was at the scene, the manner of death would not have been confirmed, though I agree that it may have been being discussed at the scene. IF he truly felt that the deaths were going to be incorrectly listed as murder-suicide (or double suicide) and he saw something at the scene that made him truly believe there was evidence to the contrary that was being overlooked or covered up I can understand him wanting to take photos in case he reported the evidence and it was ignored and he feared there was a cover-up going on.

However, he then should have approached another law enforcement source - such as Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office, FBI, etc - rather than showing them to a friend.

Unless he knew LE would do nothing about it. I don't know anything about it, but if I were in the shoes of a person who had evidence that it was NOT a murder suicide or suicide suicide and knew that any LE would not do anything about it, I'd take the hit of being fired to get the picture out so it could not be ignored.

On the flipside, it could have had a more sinister meaning, too.

Believe me, I understand, unfortunately, from personal experience. I won’t give ANY details, but I was aware of a situation where the “good Samaritan” with info had few options, including losing their job, getting blacklisted, getting assaulted or killed - and then nothing may change and/or no one is held accountable. Not to mention having the safety of their son “questioned” by someone reportedly high up in LE.

I think definitely more likely to be a suicide pact than a murder suicide. Twins come into the world together, and many would rather leave this world together, than live without their twin.
I have sisters that are identical twins and you are absolutely correct IMO. They have a very symbiotic relationship and have been each other's only bestie their whole lives.

They really didn't interact all that much with the rest of the family in general.

I agree. I have younger twin brothers, and their works pretty much revolves around the other. They have told me multiple times that they came in together, they will leave together. Twins, IMO, have a weird co-dependency that should be taken very seriously.

Maybe one twin wanted to spend his last day before committing suicide with his twin and nature, and the other committed suicide after the other, unable and/or unwilling to live without them.

My cousins are fraternal twins. They have been exceptionally close all their lives. Very different in personalities, talents and interests, and yet unbelievably close.

The way I explain it, twins hear the sounds of each other’s hearts in utero. When they start moving, they must feel each other moving. Their lives started at the same moment, the bond must be incredibly solid.

With identical twins, even more. After all, they share the same genes. So I believe that they can see the same dreams and even when apart, may feel what the other one is doing.

By the same token, if depressed, both should have been. I think they were supporting one another as long as they could.

So it probably was a suicide plan, but other options (someone being involved, using them, them being blackmailed or pushed to suicide) need to be considered.

It is never okay to take photos of a scene like this and share/release them. It creates agony for the victims' family to know those photos were taken, shared, and are out there.

If someone truly feared a cover-up, I can only see providing the victims' family's attorney with the evidence. He or she will hopefully then use it in a way that's sensitive to the family's wishes.

But have we ever heard of a responder taking photos for that reason and handling them properly? No, it "always" seems to be for selfish or insensitive reasons and the photos mishandled.
IMO.

Interestingly, one of my best friends is an identical twin and her relationship with her twin is not so tight, though they talk every day.
Deep down I feel they both are super connected and in many ways are alike personality-wise, but her twin is harsh and demeaning to her, super competitive about everything,. She’s just mean and apparently was as a child too. Everybody tiptoes around her trying not to set her off.
Identical twins are not always identical I guess.

I would go through channels and IF I had taken photographs to back up my concerns/suspicions I would then share those photos with my direct superior and the investigating LEOs. What I would not do is publish or share the photos publicly as this EMT is accused of doing.
