Can you tell what they were looking at? Was it Janet's story or something else?

By the way, :woohoo:
They arrived looking at a different story entirely -- the one about the mom who was a new-age healer type who ended up being stabbed 111 times by her demented teenage son. Shame, too, because it's not one of my better entries. Don't know what they read after that, but it looks like they hung around a bit.

Hey, that's great news, IMHO. I've seen many a slow story come to the public forefront by so-called " tabloid" journalism.
I would love to see the National Enquirer do to Raven what they relentlessly did to the Ramseys for years. ( Not taking up for the Ramseys, just sayin' )

Mr.A, do you not think that by publishing their IP and name, you might be preventing them from returning in the future? Not sure how many people want to fly under the radar.. I am a BLOG idiot.

Thanks!!
Any webmaster, not just a blogger, can get that info if they have the right program embedded in their page. Blogs are just journals, short for "weblog". No, I'm not concerned about that. People who don't want you to know they are surfing usually know how to mask their ISP name.

HelloYellow,
I also sent you a private message welcoming you to WS. If you look in the upper right corner you can see a link that will take you to the pm feature. If you have a pop-up-blocker enabled, you may need to disable it to access private messages.
I know how to read it now (thanks to you;) )...but I don't know how to send one:doh:

Isn't funny that the choices that we make, make us lash out at others? Look at the serious crimes--Mark Hacking for instance. He lied, and killed Lori because of it. But even everyday life. (I'm on the computer and my 1 year old gets into the fridge and breaks the eggs and then I get mad at him. When really I shouldn't be sitting here, I should be playing and watching him better)

If you hit reply, it works just like posting a message on the board, it just sends the message privately.

Could Raven been the "supplier" for the soccer teams he played on? You know, to make him look good and have everybody love him.

:blushing: I made a mistake (shhhh don't tell Mr.Golfmom)
The button to hit is quote, or you can just click send new message (located on left side) and type in the person's screen name you wish to communicate with.

This is a very interesting idea! Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to outfit a soccer team?

......$9000.00 is a LOT of merchandise, i wonder what it consists of..

...felony embezzlement, if he IS plaeding guilty, and it sounds like that's the case, anyone know the 'usual punishment' for that crime ?
He's pleading guilty from what I have heard. That means that he can now " throw himself on the mercy of the court" and a judge will sentence him. There will not be a trial by jury, as I understand the guilty plea thing..

He's betting on a judge being lenient because of Raven's single parent status, the loss of his wife ,etc..

His sentence will probably be 1 year and 1 day, commuted to Probation only. He will have a Felony conviction on his records forever.

I say the judge will give him 2 years worth of useless probation, in which he visits his probation officer once a month and pays them $25 or so per visit.
He will have to pay into the Victim's Advocacy fund even though this was mostly a victimles crime ( as compared to a private home burglary... or a murder).
He will have to pay at least some of the money back. If he doesn't have it, then I am sure the probation department will help him find employment and take a percentage out of his wages.

Wow Girl! You are amazing. I too had heard on the side that he had already plead guilty. But, with the info coming out that the ADA was planning on meeting with his lawyer in June, I thought maybe they were going to hammer out a deal for a guilty plea then. Remember, anything we hear that might have originated with Raven is probably wrong.

FuTBaLrGuY

Is the ebay name I thought Raven might have used, it corresponds with his MSN screen name.

It costs approximately $1,000 to $2,000 to outfit a soccer team.

So.....5 months at $2,000 would be $10,000.00 (right around the figure of embezzlement???

No, once the team has their jersey and stuff they're good. So the total to deck them out for a season would be $1-2,000 total. Then they can also reuse much of the gear for a few seasons too.

I figure he did take care of his buddies on the team, but also had a nice side business going off ebay. There was a FuTBaLrGuY ebayer that I can't pull the records for.

Hmmm.............you are probably right. Do we know how many teams Raven played with?

Totally off this subject, I want to throw an idea out there that we haven't even discussed......

Could Raven have been bi-sexual? Do we know the alleged affairs were with women? Maybe it was men or boys.....just an idea.

I'm assuming you're talking about an upper-end travel team of young men (i.e., relatively expensive stuff in men's sizes), as opposed to a low-end kid's rec. team??

Are you talking about just a typical "uniform package", i.e., 2 jerseys, 1 home, 1 away - 1 pair of socks and shorts (sometimes they throw in a ball with this, too), where the kid supplies the extras....or are you talking about supplying just about everything....uniform package, plus 1 pair extra socks, windsuit, bag, goalie gloves, wrist guards, etc., where the only thing the kid supplies is his jock and cup, shoes, and special undershirt (compression or sweat absorbing)...

golfmom....the typical "uniform package" is $150.00, multiplied by 15-16 players on a typical team = your ballpark figure...

Note that these costs go higher for high school and more specialized leagues because of the custom jerseys...also, the shoes can get quite expensive if they are supplied...

You know, I've been noodling this idea around for awhile myself. It just seems to me that the report of affairs have been brief. No one really is specifying who he is having affairs with. I just haven't been brave enough to post my thoughts first!

Was it possible knowing what we know now that he could have been bi-sexual?
