No need to duck, lol! It appears if you read back through articles and press releases that LE considered that prior and took precautions to make sure that wouldn't happen.. Don't have a link at my fingertips, but I read where Misty approached them.

I'll bet she did. I'll also bet he was a young good looking man.

The problem with some pain management Dr's and problem patients has been going on for awhile. I know there are patients that need their medication, my brother is one of them (severe degenerative arthritis). In fact he is in the hospital now recuperating from a spinal fusion to T8/T9/T10. They had to enter in the left chest and puncture a lung (chest tube insertion) and take a rib for the spinal fusion. He was on a vent, but is off now. The ortho Docs have told him that he will need meds for the rest of his life. He has had six spinal operations in ten years, more to come (they say).

I don't know what the full solution is, but I think the pain Dr's should make their patients come in for pill counts (in between visits and at random). Some good pain Dr's already do this, there are too many that don't. This would help to cut down on the bad traffic they get in their waiting rooms.

Any way to check a visitor's log...I am curious..

While this development is very interesting and hopefully will aid in the Haleigh mystery, I wish LE would not have used the reverse buy tactics.
If the quantity sold to undercover is equal to the quantity bought from undercover, some smart lawyer will come out of the wood works IMO, crying foul.
Misty had no previous conviction and letting her break the law 7 times before arresting her, looks like entrapment. They all are small potatoes in the overall drug trade judging by the qties seized.
Ducking rotten tomato throwing.

I expect Misty's lawyer will file a motion in court requesting the charges against her be dropped on the grounds LE entrapped his client.

When is Misty's next court appearance?

Frankly , yanking both those two 18 year old kids from the drug scene, translates into doing them a big humanitarian favor. Who knows, maybe some good will come of it.
As to RC, screwed, blued(addicted) and tattooed comes to mind in regard to his girl friends . He is probably beyond help.

I bet, he/she will also have for tested for her IQ value.

Don't have a clue where to put this but would like to express my thoughts in reference to what I suspect has gone down with Ron C, Misty, TN and GGMS since last February...
I believe Ron C is responsible for whatever it is that happened to Haleigh, I also believe Misty knows what happend, and was present when the incident occurred... Its my opinion that Ron C or Misty also called his mother, and his grandmother, to tell them what had happened...
Seems to me plans for the coverup went into effect immediately in order to keep Ron C out of jail and to keep him from losing custody of Jr..
Almost a year later, we still don't know where Haleigh is due to all the lies that have been told by Ron C, Misty, TN and GGMS, but NOW Ron C is in jail, and hopefully for a long long time. And Crystal now has custody of Jr..

Right now.. I'm thinking Ron C wouldn't have received as much time in jail for whatever it was that happened to Haleigh as he most likely is facing now...

Their worst fears have become reality.. Their deceitfulness is in vain..

Hopefully they will come to this realization and now tell the truth about what really happened last February..JMO

N/k... I mean has RC ever even done a real stint in jail for any of the numerous crimes for which he's been charged? Such is the futility of sparing either a bad@$$ child or unruly young man every one of those lesser consequences all along the way. He's been wearin doppies but RC's gonna have to put on his big boy pants real fast now.

Since this is Ron's first real jail experience and Misty's too, I wonder how it will affect the chances of them talking. Most likely they are both in a cell alone, locked up except for the shower they get each day. This is hard even for people who have been in jail before. Add in the withdrawal factor and I would imagine they will be ready to spill the beans soon.

BBm passionflower, I truthfully do not believe he did, but there is a possibility he could have helped place her in that dumpster until she could be moved to wherever Ron C or whoever planned to take her... But thats...JMO..

I think if it was made a priority, this could be done by computer. Coordination between pharmacy, doctor, and careful checking of patient id. They do it for sudafed, why not oxy?
I know docs pass out varying meds here and people sell them daily. If the doc and pharmacy wanted to they could just start testing patient blood levels and checking amount picked up each month-But they don't want to. It is their income. I hope they find R and M and et al's sources from before this bust also.I wonder if this was heirarchal or a bunch of independents?
Here it is mostly independents, I believe.

just a full time reader here, but had to post something...as much as Misty smokes, don't you know she is in big time misery from no nicotine? If there's no smoking in jail, I would think that LE could use that to their advantage..just offer her a smoke...

 I know that's a small thing, but as a nicotine addict myself, I take great pleasure in knowing that her ciggies are a thing of the past.

You are right though, I believe that nicotine is one of the most powerful and addicting substances out there. It would be very interesting to find out what she would do for a puff. Wouldn't that be something if that ends up being what it takes for her to spill it?

Search, despite Ron's stone cold 'I'm not skeered of anything' smirk in his booking shot, if they are not terrified..then they are fools imo..I think Ron's a wuss and I'm betting that fake facade of his crumbled the moment that pic was taken. I'm not counting on him talking though as I am more convinced than ever that HE is the one responsible for whatever happened HaLeigh, Misty's just covering up for her 'man' as all gangsta wannabe girlfriends are supposed to do. So he knows that he's going down bigtime if the truth is known imho. Misty will break I believe, I just wonder how long she can hold out..

Thanks for the information about Jerome. I didn't know that. I think that your sentence (bolded above) explains whey Misty told Nay Nay and White Boy Greg why she was going back to Ron. She said that Ron gave her what she wanted. IMO, that meant the drugs. Ron got her to need them and he supplied them. I think that is how he got all the young women to keep coming back to him.

I hated reading this post of yours lonetraveler. It's sad and I hated reading it becasue you are probably absolutely right. What kind of a wacked out person does this to someone he's supposed to love? I suppose because he thinks this is the only way he can get them to hang on to him.
Great post. But sad.

I agree, Ron's big smile in the booking photo was a front, a big one. He is scared and so is Misty. If Misty didn't take part in Haleigh's demise I think she will talk. If she did play a major part, I don't know what incentive she has to admit to anything.

lol-I don't know-I would of like to seen it-I haven't watched any local news clips from today on the case if there are any-I have been trying to catch up reading here and I think I am losing the battle-lol-but last night in a clip on FOX it showed the reporter at G. Sykes home but it didn't show her-you could hear her but not see her and it looked like G. Sykes was going to shut the door on the reporter!
As far as I know they are all still in jail-if I am wrong someone please correct me!

JMO

Thanks for this information twall. Sure, now GGM Sykes has nothing to say. I hope she was or will be served a search warrant since that's where Ron was supposed to be living. For her own good, silence is the only thing she should give the public now about her grandson Ron's latest adventure. jmo

Is it absolutely certain that Ron & Misty will be behind bars for a very long time?

I don't want Ron to keep getting off the hook for breaking the law.

and is it selfish of me for wanting them to be given the most severe punishment for selling drugs?

No ilumua, there is not one iota of selfishness in your little ole heart. Ron appears to be a drug dealer and he needs to pay the price. I too want him to serve a stiff sentence and speaking for the rest of the peanut gallery here, I think everyone feels the same. jmo

Yes, there is lots of money to be made in this business by Doctors, pharmaceutical companies and dealers. Your computer monitoring idea prompted a search, by me, and I found an interesting article.

Virginia hacker might affect Fla. bill for prescription tracking

Kentuckians are traveling by cars, vans and planes to Florida, where doctors prescribe hundreds of powerful pain pills for cash. Several Kentuckians have died of overdoses of pills they got in Florida.

The prescriptions are obtained legally, but people often bring them back to be sold illegally. The trips are an effort to escape the Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting system, known as KASPER, which tracks who prescribes, dispenses and receives the drugs.

Kentucky officials have said they’ll help Florida get its program off the ground with the software they use for KASPER.

But on April 30, the same day that the Florida General Assembly passed legislation to create a monitoring system, the hacker posted a message on Virginia’s monitoring system saying he had stolen millions of prescription records. The FBI is searching for the hacker, who said that if he didn’t get $10 million in ransom, he would sell the information to the highest bidder.

Virginia’s system has not been operational since the hacker made the threat, said Kathy Siddall, a spokeswoman for the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

The database does not contain patient medical histories, but it does list names, addresses and, in some cases, Social Security numbers of patients who received prescriptions for painkillers such as OxyContin.
