I wonder why they're not probing the possibility that DM was driving the Yukon? If there is no 3rd suspect, and one of them got out of the truck to follow as they left, then it could possibly have been either one that switched vehicles.

JMO

DM's fingerprints, no MS fingerprints, on the steering wheel of TB's truck would be my first guess.

I was hoping that a video would shed some light on the anomalies...but sadly I see no illumination at all... JMO MOO

The video may be shown at the trial(IMO) perhaps you will be illuminated then, maybe ?

I was referring to the video of LE press release. Do you think there is a video of the whole situation ? I was of the opinion that only a video of a following vehicle had been found, and that was of very bad quality apparently. JMO

But you never know, maybe one of the people in TB's truck, or in the following SUV or in the vehicle that dropped them off switched on a recording device on a 'burner' phone that managed to capture the whole event. That would be quite illuminating IMO....

"Earlier in the investigation, there were five police officers assigned to review 30 security video tapes that captured images of Bosma's truck on May 6, the night he was abducted."

But those are images of Tim's truck. It doesn't say 30 tapes of the vehicle that followed.

JMO

The conversation was about why LE first stated that the video of the SUV following TBs truck was blurry and they couldn't make out the type, yet later they determined it was DM's Yukon. Well the above states they have a lot more than just 1 video, so it's very possible that they used those tapes in their determination. As far as we know, they could have a HD 3D video of the DM's Yukon following TB's truck with a close-up of the license plate! Who knows. My point is that they probably didn't ID the Yukon from just the initial blurry video that we were informed of.

It's unbelievable to me that a "publication ban" still exists in 2013. One would think such things existed only in countries run by dictatorships.

This was the phone number used by the victim to contact his killer and to arrange a test drive of his Dodge Ram but how the victim knew to call this number without having had some previous communication on the subject has not been disclosed and so may, or may not, have occurred.

Wasn't aware of that, TB called the burner phone ?

Pray...WHO on earth might these "meanies" be that are trying to FRAME DM??? I could perhaps wrap my head around the notion if he (DM) was actually a "somebody" with some status or importance to others, but from what we see, there is NO evidence of any such thing. So, who would and why would anyone care to FRAME him?

Accordingly, while the mills grind slowly, it's rather hard to imagine why the defense still has not reportedly received the evidence in this case and no discovery date has yet been called (or at least no date has been reported).

Yes I know, you would have thought the defence would be stamping their feet by now, if they know there is lack of evidence as their clients are innocent.(IMO)

Exactly. Nothing. No comment. No motion. Nothing.

Many clients are innocent...but believe me that doesn't stop the 'system' from keeping them chained to it. There is nothing a lawyer can do except wait for the cues from the court. They are 'officers of the court' they will be reminded of 'their duty to the court' .... Lawyers are bound by the rules of the game...so to suggest that the lawyer is somewhat incompetent would be inaccurate IMO. They do the job they are supposed to do... but many times even the best lawyer will be at the mercy of the 'system' and the 'rules of the game' IMO

It would be pointless IMO to do or say anything at this point. A motion for what ? Motion to dismiss?, motion to stay the proceedings? None of that will happen with the system gripping on to anything it can right now. JMO

Well the problem is that we are not allowed to post names of people who are not persons of interest to LE. That doesn't mean that maybe some posters may have some names they would just love to throw out there. Maybe they have links too, but until LE states they are POI's we cannot post anything. MOO . I think DM could well be of interest to others... and his money also. But more importantly is Why? and what is the connection ? JMO MOO

IMO everyone is a somebody... it depends what constitutes a somebody in someones opinion ? JMO

To answer your question, there are many posts peppered throughout these boards with theories that would plausibly answer this question you ask, you just have to read along. Many times they have not shown up on the earlier "innocent Dupe" thread although it would be nice to have them all in the same place. Also, IMO, DM doesn't need to be "a somebody" to possess something valuable that can be obtained, accessed or manipulated if only he is alive but out of the picture.

Not necessarily, but it's an interesting question. Both Kiiji and AutoTrader reportedly deny they had published TB's number yet LE has stated that there was no email messaging between the two suggesting that the meeting must have been arranged by phone. We've been told LE does not have the burner phone but they did recover TB's cell. Either Kiiji or AutoTrader have engaged in "truth adjustment" or DM found out TB's phone number some other way and called to arrange the test drive and that incoming call showed up on TB's phone OR somehow TB learned DM was looking for a vehicle like his and called his number OR who knows what? In any case, we've not been told that the burner phone, which was purchased anonymously, has been recovered so who it may actually belong to is, frankly, anybody's guess, is it not?

Not every country's citizens agree that endlessly Nancy Graceifying crimes and turning trials into sporting contests is the best way to reach a balanced and unbiased verdict. I, for one, prefer to keep the blindfold of Lady Justice firmly in place. MOO.

It's a long way back now carli but I believe early sleuthing here suggested TB's phone number was on the ads, not sure how it works with Auto Trader but Kijiji has that option where the shopper must click on or hover over the area code and the lister's full number then appears.
