Well, since we know DM wasn't 19 yet in 2002, let alone 21, and it doesn't appear that he transferred from another post-secondary institution at such a young age, he couldn't have applied as a mature student or a transfer student. So he must have met the other requirements, which include an OSSD or equivalent. The 3D Animation course is, I believe, an Advanced Diploma program, so the Transfer Student criteria wouldn't come into it in any event.

We have heard from his flying instructor saying he was a joy to teach, we have heard from classmates at the French school saying he ate dog cookies and dressed like a hillbilly as well as Humber classmates in his computer class, but from the Toronto French school to Humber there have been no interviews of fellow classmates. Which leads me to believe there wasn't any formal schooling after he left the French school. Home schooled by MB maybe? Learning disabilities maybe? Attention Deficit Disorder? I have to wonder how his lawyer could get away with saying he is highly intelligent and philosophical when in my opinion I doubt he got through high school.
And no, I don't believe he is the one in a million genius that was too smart for school. Usually these geniuses leave high school to start up a dot com company then sell it for 2 billion.

It could be as simple as the press not yet finding out where else he went to school. He had to have had his diploma or equivalent by the time he was 17 since he was enrolled at Humber when he was 17. Regardless, IMO, there is a huge difference between being educated and being intelligent.

Someone posted earlier some example of intelligent, successful people who didn't finish high school -Thomas Edison (granted he was home-schooled, but even a teacher called him "addled" because his mind wandered), Benjamin Franklin, Bill Gates, Charles Dickens. Even Albert Einstein originally dropped out at age 15, but returned a year later. Or how about Princess Diana? You think none of these people are intelligent?

I don't believe we've heard from any of his classmates at Humber. If I'm mistaken, can you please provide a link? All I've seen about Humber is the comment made by "a source at the college" about his plagiarizing his classmates work. If that comment was from someone at the college, I would think it was a professor or someone who works there. Surely his classmates are not still at Humber.

Mr. Millard attended the prestigious Toronto French School but left after Grade 10. He studied 3D games animation at Humber College in 2002 but was once “caught red-handed” plagiarizing the work of his classmates, according to a source at the college.

I notice the article also says he left the French School after Grade 10. It does not say he dropped out of school after Grade 10.

While I won't deny there are successful drop-outs, we also don't have a ton of evidence of DM ever really working hard at anything in particular except playing with cars and trucks.

You took the words out of my mouth! The successful drop-outs, Bill Gates, et al. were already in college and dropped out to continue their ambitions, and quite successfully, too. I have seen no evidence that supports DM as being natively intelligent. And, as I wrote above, brains without ambition equal nothing, which describes DM and those of his ilk. Money doesn't buy class, either.

Not sure of the question you're asking however.....

In general, a cell phone will keep data of its whereabouts via towers pinged so it can communicate(ping) with the appropriate tower when a call is attempted unless turned off and back on(some phones, not others). For lack of a better term an overwrite or update. So if a cell phone was at TB's and turned off then found later somewhere else miles away, it is possible to get data of where it pinged last. Depends on the on/off wiring.

If the above wasn't the condition that led LE to DM it was likely done over a period of time, via call records, interviews, and other evidence they discovered along the way.

We don't have a ton of evidence on anything really IMO. I don't think we can even say DM worked hard on cars and trucks. I believe he liked flying, sailing and driving according to all the pics on FB...but the FB info and other info (which we cannot post due to the rules) suggests it was others who did the mechanics on cars/trucks not DM.

We actually don't even know that DM dropped out. JMO

It's media spin from his legal team. It works in his favour in the court of public interest to portray him as an intelligent, upstanding and hardworking "philosopher" from a well to do family.

If DM's non-burner phone was turned on, it would have pinged cell cell towers and those pings can be traced after the fact.

You can't "ping" after the fact, but you can trace old pings.

I'm not certain why it's important to decide that DM must be a learning disabled high school dropout. What difference does it make if true? Anyway, MSM reported that someone from the Toronto French School said he'd dropped out in Grade 10. I've seen no other confirmation and the TFS person was unnamed. It should be pointed out that the educational demands of French immersion in Canada are very high compared to unilanguage instruction, imo and the opinion of others, as well as my own experience. It might also be noted that the FB pages indicate a number of his cousins live in France and attend French universities. It is not unusual for Canadian French immersion students to complete their high school matriculation in France which provides a very highly disciplined educational environment. Should this also have been around the time of WM's marriage breakup, all the more reason to send DM abroad, imo. Moreover, DM, we understand, was/is interested in the culinary arts and had some training in the subject. Arguably the best further education in the subject would be in France, assuming a student was able to meet and maintain the necessary achievement levels. Anyway, all MOO, of course, and again, whether, if, when or how DM attended school matters much, imo.

I agree Panther , when this case 1st hit the news , they wanted all the help the public had to offer , Now with the ban , we wont find squat , we might not even know if they make arrest of 3rd suspect , As for the 3rd person , im beginning to think there isnt 1 , police havnt really given the press any reason to believe they are still looking for any 1 . seems all is too quiet , maybe something will break ,,we can only hope.

Also today as I was heading home, a big black Undercover SUV pulled out in front of me from the site. So, police keeping equipment on site ???

wow interesting....glad you were there. If there was a new search am guessing they would have a new search warrant but wouldn't necessarily call a news conference about that. Hope you can keep us posted
