So who called the paramedics?

I wish he'd stop the stupid crying each time.

Nel, the prosecuting lawyer, is talking the court through the diagram of Pistorius's house.

Botha says if you enter the bathroom, you face the bathtub, and the toilet is on the right.

  • #603
Botha says he thinks the gunman would have to have been inside the bathroom with his back to the basins, shooting at an angle from 1.5m away from the toilet door.

  • #604
Botha the window leading from the toilet looks onto the backyard where there were two dogs. BB

#OscarPistorius Botha to get to the bathroom from the balcony you have to go passed the bed. BB

He called estate management and ask him to call for an ambulance and then also called Netcare(your 911). Why he called management first is beyond me but could be he had the bloke on speed dial etc...sure we will find out.

Where can I watch this online?

Nel asks Botha: if you are on the balcony, you have to go past the bed to get to the bathroom - there's no other way? That's right, says Botha.

Botha: ballistics still dealing with projectiles and angles. BB

  • #609
Botha: it appears the trajectory was down - from top down. (Angle from door to toilet seat) BB

probably how they are putting forth the thing about him having his legs on???

  • #610
Botha: the phones and firearm were found on the carpet close to the shower door (next to toilet).
Botha: the bullets went through the top part of the door. BB

  • #611
Botha: once in the bathroom toilet there's no way out. The window is small. If you make it through you'll fall.
Botha: the cricket bat was found in front of the first wash basin. BB

  • #612
The toilet window is smaller than the one in the bathroom, he says, but even if you made it through, you wouldn't be able to get downstairs. You would fall. There was no way out from that toilet room, Botha says.

Botha says the angle of the bullets was downwards "from a normal stance" - indicating that Pistorius was standing at a normal height.

He says the bullets went through the top part of the toilet door.

He says he found the gun next to the shower door. The cricket bat was found in front of the first washbasin, he says. There was a lady's vanity case next to the tub.

There was no other way out of the toilet room, other than its door, he says.

"steroids" confirmed...what is the difference between steroids and testosterone ?

Botha: "We found two boxes of steroids..." Nel interrupts him. Botha corrects to: "Two boxes of testosterone, needles and injections."

  • #614
testosterone is what floyd landis used. not a steroid, but something not allowed by doping regs IIRC

Nel reads Oscar's statement that he was scared of crime and had been a victim of crime - theres no police record of this.

the thing in the restaurant --

Botha: on to the Melrose Arch shooting. Botha says Oscar played with a firearm and it went off.
Botha: says Oscar, fearing the bad publicity, convinced the gun owner to take responsibility for the accident. He did. BB
Nel recalling the Justin Devaris statement, speaking so fondly of the accused. But he was also involved in incident. BB

  • #616
Botha: there was an incident at Kyalami where Oscar threatened to assault a man over a woman. BB
Botha: Devaris intervened and convinced the complainant to back off. BB

  • #617
Hopefully he's toast. So he lied about having his legs on, no call to the paramedics himself, and the information about the needles and testosterone is bad too.

  • #618
Nel on the issue of the firearm under bed because of fear of crime. But he went to bed with door open? BB

Botha: I found a holster for the firearm on the same side I found the overnight bag and slippers. BB

  • #619
Botha: if I heard the noise, I'd ensure my girlfriend is safe. Oldwage is shaking his head. Oscar is crying. BB

which about sums it up!

I like the passion in this comment:

CarmenQueasy1 - February 19, 2013 at 19:46 "How could he have mistaken her for a burglar? Didn't he realise she wasn't in the bed next to him? He had to put his prosthetic legs on first to go to the bathroom. Where did he think she was? Doesn't it make more sense that he threatened her and she ran into the bathroom and locked the door? Surely she wouldn't think that he would shoot her through the door. She would have had a head start. Wouldn't she have cried out when he tried to open the door? Or when he fired the first shot? But he still wants to claim he thought she was a burglar? And so what if he broke down the door to 'save her'. He had to do that to corroborate his story. WHY!!!! WHY DID YOU DO THIS!!!! There is NO excuse. This was premeditated and you deserve the longest possible sentence. No bail, no chance of parole and you should be stripped of all medals, trophies, prize money and records. A family has to bury their daughter today because of what you did. How do you fix that? You can't. All that can happen now is that you need to do the time. And man up and quit crying. No one buys that you're sad for her. You just know you're going to jail, hence the tears for yourself!"
