I don't know Shane, this info comes from a "source". The mention of her sworn statement doesn't clarify whats in it and if there was indeed an affair!

And nope, today was the first time I saw the article that he wouldn't be racing for the rest of the year. I'm on the SA news sites every day and must have missed it. IOL and News24 haven't mentioned it yet it seems. Strange as they are normally on top of their game.

There's a lot more going on here, e.g. "Simasiku said the state did not have an expert witness to counter a planned defence argument that Barnard actually died from lack of care in the hospital and not as a result of injuries sustained in the accident."

To me seems strange, without even hearing this planned argument they basically drop the matter???
They could not get an expert witness???

MPUMALANGA - The attempted murder case against Hilton Botha and two former police colleagues has been postponed to August.*

Botha was the lead detective in the Oscar Pistorius murder case but was removed from the case when Eyewitness News revealed the charges against him.*He has since left the police.

A few curious things.
Notice how, even though this is a public matter, the names of Botha' 2 fellow cops are not given.

One fascinating thing is that Botha said that the driver of the vehicle that ran him off the road knew the commander of the police station!

This one should end up getting dropped. But they apparrently want to drag it out. At least till the indictment of Oscar.

Just wondering whether Reeva could have accessed his four phones that night and found out he had been seeing or texting this blonde. I do not think it matters whether they were actually having an affair or not, it could have made Reeva angry or jealous that whatever OP was doing with that blonde was secretive and not out in the open. At least it appears that Reeva was probably open with OP about seeing Lahoud.

Remember what his ex-girlfriend said about OP? Something like, "there is always another blonde on the scene." I read a comment under the Vanity Fair article where someone claimed that RS and OP's relationship was not very close at all. In fact at one event he refused to have his photo taken with RS and stood with others. The commenter suggested that it was Divaris and Samantha who always suggested that OP should bring RS along to their nights out and OP was not as involved with RS as he has made out.

I am therefore curious about whether this blonde was the cause of their arguments that night.

A beautiful blond girl is being questioned by police about his relationship with an athlete is involved alleged intentional homicide, Oscar Pistorius.

Erin was rumored to have an affair with Oscar Pistorius1. Erin Stear, 25 years old, is the name being South African media and international attention. The day after, she often was summoned to the police station to take testimony. The reason comes from the flirtatious messages in her phone with Pistorius, Athletes foot is not well known.

In February this year, Pistorius was shot dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, 29 years old, even in his own home in South Africa. Pistorius before the court to explain that he was fired because his girlfriend is mistaken intruders and confirmed that very love Reeva.

But investigators appear to see the details, contrary to rumors what was said Pistorius, that Oscar had shady relationship with Erin after accidentally met at a nightclub in Cape Town. On the Twitter page of Erin also continuously posting comments Pistorius from supporters after the shooting occurred. When Oscar faced a series of bail hearings tension, Erin sent the message that: "Objection good. You are successfully completed it."

Course, everything still stops at the level of conjecture. Erin herself and her mother want police "to knock on the door to clarify rumors", opinion also continued speculation before things related court Pistorius.

Pistorius sleuth in court

Hilton Botha's lawyers confirmed they would try and have the attempted murder case against him thrown out before his next court appearance in August.

Botha was the lead detective on the Oscar Pistorius investigation before Eyewitness News revealed that he and two other officers were facing charges of their own.

The trio appeared in the Kwa-Mhlanga Magistrate's Court on Friday for the first time since the charges were reinstated.

Looking relaxed, Botha chatted to journalists outside the courtroom but refused to give any formal comment.

“I cant talk to anyone now thank you very much.”

His lawyer Amelia Ross said they have asked the state to hand over the docket so they can study the evidence and make representations for the case to be dropped.

“I can tell you now that I don’t think there is a case against him with relation to the charges which were brought against him.”

The trio are accused of shooting at a mini bus taxi in 2011 while investigating a murder.

The case resumes on the 27 August.

'Hilton Botha will be vindicated'

Detective Hilton Botha's lawyer on Friday said she expects to receive a copy of the attempted murder docket against her client within the next few days.

The suspects allegedly shot at a minibus taxi carrying passengers.

The case was initially dropped, but was reinstated on February 4.

The detective left the police force shortly after the exposé.

On Friday, Botha's lawyer Amelia Ross formally asked prosecutors to reveal what evidence they had against her client.

Once she has studied the docket, she plans to approach the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to request the case be thrown out of court.

Ross said she still want to know whether the reinstatement of the charges had anything to do with Botha’s involvement in the Pistorius case.

“We do have some questions regarding that. That will form part of our representations to the NPA.”

Ross added that this case will not affect Botha's credibility as a state witness against Pistorius.

She maintains her client will be vindicated.

Oscar Pistorius murder case expected to be postponed: NPA

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it expects that the murder case against paralympian athlete, Oscar Pistorius, to be postponed for further investigation when he appears in the Pretoria Magistrates Court next month.

Pistorius was arrested in February after he shot and killed his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria.

NPA spokesperson Medupi Simasiku says reports that a trial date will be set when he appears are untrue as investigations have not yet been concluded.

"The case of Oscar Pistorious will be in court on June 4 in the Pretoria Magistrates Court. Up to so far we only expect postponements for further investigation, but in as far as other details are concerned, we will only be able to know by the end of the week."

"For further investigations, we mean not yet trial ready so by the time the investigation has been completed that is when he can be ready for trial," says Simasiku.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Oscar Pistorius was audited and fined for unpaid taxes after having to declare his assets during his bail hearing, a South African newspaper reported Sunday as the Olympian prepares for his first court appearance in nearly four months.
The City Press newspaper said that the South African Revenue Service fined the double-amputee runner "less than one million rand" (under $105,000), which he paid.

Pistorius will return to Courtroom C at Pretoria Magistrate's Court on June 4. To me, it is a bit troubling that the acting Chief Magistrate, Daniel Thulare, who will hear this case--at least on June 4--and maybe the actual trial, calls himself "Evangelist Daniel Thulare." That's the way he declared his authorship of his religious book.

Will he be able to have a separation of church and state during the trial?
