It actually makes no difference if OP father was there or not however, I thought we established that he was in fact ,NOT there. He said in an interview on his way to court the next morning that he had NOT seen OP and didn't know the girl in question. I'm pretty sure if he was at the scene, he would have at least been able to see his son.

Paralympian Oscar Pistorius's father on Thursday said his son was "sad" following a shooting at his Pretoria home which left his girlfriend dead.

"I don't know nothing. It will be extremely obnoxious and rude to speculate. I don't know the facts," Henke Pistorius told SABC radio news.

"If anyone makes a statement, it will have to be Oscar. He's sad at the moment."

He added that his heart goes out to the victim's family.

Earlier, a convoy of about 10 cars arrived at the Boschkop police station in Pretoria following the shooting. Pistorius's sister, Aimee, was among those arriving at the station.

For me this means his father (the whole family) was in the house, saw what happened and spoke to his son. But he wouldn't tell details to the media without consultation by the familie's lawyers.

But it's not really important, whether his father was in the house or not - so let us forget this point for now . All I wanted is to explain why I believe he was.

The documentary also asks whether it is plausible that Pistorius, 26, didn't notice Reeva was not in bed before he started shooting. An illumination engineer backs Pistorius's claims that it was “pitch black” and he could not see that Ms Steenkamp was not in bed as he manoeuvred around the bed to get his 9mm pistol and confront the supposed burglar.

That's maybe right but it wasn't pitch black" before he closed the curtains and blinds. So when he awoke and went to the balcony he passed the bed the first time when it wasn't pitch black in the bedroom. And Reeva lay just a few dozen inches beside OP - if it's true that he slept on the left side of the bed.

Seems that was a great "ilumination engineer"

Bless his little cotton socks. Nothing he does is done 'quietly', including the 'private' memorial he held for Reeva that was mysteriously leaked... hmmm. You can guarantee someone from his family will always ensure that anything 'private' which makes OP look like he's still in mourning will somehow get 'leaked' into the public domain. Very clever seeing how close it is to his hearing.

And so deeply in love and close to her that he didn't even think for a second that the 'love of his life' might have been in the bathroom and that those were the noises he was hearing. So in love that he just fired through the door knowing he would kill whoever was behind it. Wonder what he'd have done if he hadn't 'loved' her!

I don't doubt that Oscar has huge regrets for his actions. But IMHO what is missing are signs or reports of sincere sorrow or remorse. I would be more likely to have some compassion for him then. As it is, I see every statement from his camp as purely spin.

Reeva Steenkamp ‘so afraid’ of Oscar Pistorius

OLYMPIC sprinter Oscar Pistorius displayed flashes of his violent temper in the months leading up to the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, an explosive documentary will reveal tonight.

Stunning model Reeva Steenkamp was repeatedly shot by the paralympian at his exclusive mansion in the early hours of Valentine’s Day.

The London 2012 double gold medal winning athlete - “dubbed the fastest man on no legs” - claimed he mistook his lover for a burglar in a tragic case of mistaken identity.

But prosecutors argue the bloody slaying of the 29-year-old businesswoman at the South African’s Pretoria home was pre-meditated because he was wearing his prosthetic legs at the time.

Tonight, in a world exclusive interview with Ms Steenkamp’s grieving parents, they reveal their daughter’s fear at being in his company.

Fighting back tears, June Steenkamp reveals: “She was afraid. She was so afraid.

“She said, ‘mummy I’m in the car with Oscar and he’s driving like a lunatic. Like a lunatic’. So I said, ‘will you just give him the phone’.

“She gave the phone to Oscar straight away. And I said, ‘hello’. And he said, ‘Mrs Steenkamp’. I said: ‘Listen, if you hurt my baby, in any way, I will have you wiped out’.”

Tomorrow Pistorius, 26, is due back in court for his sixth bail hearing.

Although they had only been dating for a few months, the sprinter and his new beau were known as South Africa’s “golden couple”. But already Ms Steenkamp confided to her mother that she was frequently arguing with the double amputee.

In the documentary Pistorius Trial: The Key Questions on Channel 5 Mrs Steenkamp reveals: “She said, they were fighting a lot. And this was a very new relationship. Very early to be fighting a lot.

“She didn’t elaborate on what they were fighting about. But she said, ‘We, we are fighting a lot’. That’s what she said. Which is unusual for Reeva. There were no fights with (ex-boyfriend) Warren ever. Or anybody else. Or, or, even... personal fights maybe with friends and things, she didn’t... wasn’t one for fighting. But she said, they were fighting a lot.”

Former detective hilton botha, dropped from the investigation after it emerged he was facing two counts of attempted murder, said the photo scandal could *seriously scupper the prosecution case.

He also claimed two key witnesses had refused to talk because they were too scared.

Botha said: “they changed their minds. It sounds to me like someone spoke to them and they don’t want to get involved.”

Also interesting: among witnesses there are 12 neighbors, 5 security guards and 3 paramedics. The reporter mentions that the state is keeping mum about who has been approached, and that they denied having to subpoena anyone to give a statement to investigators.

Still I wonder about those who have "changed their mind" about making a statement.

One of Pistorius's lawyers, Kenny Oldwage, refused to comment, but the Pistorius family spokeswoman, Anneliese Burgess, said she would comment once Pistorius's parents were back in the country today.

the dark square shaped reflection is from the bathmat and the photographer is standing b/w 1-2 feet back behind the mat... there is no way a head would be so close to the mat's reflection when the photog is standing in front of the shower taking a pic like that.

experiment time: put on brightly colored socks and stand 1-2 feet from a full length mirror. place an 8.5" by 12" piece of paper on the floor (to represent the bathmat) in front of you so it's between you and the mirror... you'll see that your legs are similarly placed when you look into the mirror
