The sub-culture found in this area is paramount to this case. I would have thought LE would have profiled all of them to find the truth. They live by the motto of "Zip your lips to the cops". "Don't rat out family" was the other saying. Don't be surprised if those words aren't on their tombstones.

Difficult to interview any of the cummings though. When cops get close, they hire an attorney. Once an attorney is on board, everything comes to a screeching halt. Anyone notice how quickly ron lawyered up when his daughter vanished? Croslins just weren't that savvy.

BBM - I feel that LE is in some way part of that sub-culture. Through guilt, association, et al. KWIM?

The men in the case are worlds apart, criminally speaking. I think if the Croslins are the men involved, then haleigh is in the river. If the Cummings Clan is involved, Haleigh is well-hidden.

The local Croslins didn't have much run-in with the law prior to 2/9/09. The local Cummings having been running into trouble and the law since puberty.

The Cummings know this area like the palm of their hand. For sure they know where all the species of animals live. They like to shoot them. The Croslins were new to Putnam County.

....On a side note, I have to wonder if TN and her lover are still on Rita Lane...LOL. Dollars to donuts they have moved.

I'm talking about Jeff H. She's been w/him for most of ten years. They were evicted from that upscale condo in Lady Lake last year. Jeff is now registered as living at 105 Rita Lane. Isn't everyone?:floorlaugh:

Misty said the ac guy was related to one of ron's Aunt's ex-husbands. Got that? Does that mean Aunt Elisa Squires? Ron is close to Elisa and Uncle Donnie. They have a son Jason, no? The biggest problem I have is misty reporting anything complicated. She doesn't do well if it is straightforward even.

Anyway, if it is not Jason, then it is somebody that lives very close to ron and ron knows exactly where the guy lives because he was cleared by 5:00am. Can't do that if you don't know who and where the guy lives.

I completely get what you're saying. My impression was a you can't pin this on me, kind of thing...which could be that he really wasn't guilty & was just smug about it. a little different maybe, but not really telling. MOO.

Tn has a habit of cross talking others. She has to get her two cents in and she can't stop herself. ron inherited this trait.

She was adament about telling the world ron never married Crystal...grrrr. She could barely contain herself. Like that was real important. This custody situation was utmost in the Cummings minds througout the entire case.

I got that inference..LOL. Yep, tn and JH were evicted Feb 2010...FROM Lady Lake Florida. Now isn't it suspicious that she lived there? It is the elephant in the room. She listed rita lane as her addy on the police report.

3. Is she hiding something or is this the craziest coincidence in the story; that being, she just happened to be in Satsuma area on the particular night Haleigh vanished?

3. No, it's not a coincidence. She was there because Haleigh was dead and she had to help her very brilliant son, with the highest of IQ's, get his s_ _ t together.

When I refer to TN in this thread, I am referring to her entire package that night; the "diamond" (cough, cough) necklace, the poster size photo of Haleigh, and especially the LE jacket.

So to me TN's package represented the following: wealth (necklace), sentimentality (picture of Haleigh) and authority (LE jacket.)

We know she was not wealthy, yes she probably loved Haleigh (perhaps the way she loved RC when he was growing up, and remember, she didn't want to babysit. And, of course, we know she had no authority with LE.

But this was TN's package. That is what she used to represent[B][/B] herself.

NOW, Patsy Ramsey did not need TN's package. It was obvious she had wealth, sentimentality (remember when she threw herself across JohBenet's body and asked Larzarus to raise up her child)? Also, she certainly had the authority (Arndt let everyone in and let people search for JBR, et al.)

Patsy's package was when peope started to question her and her family and she said, `We are Christians.' That was her package. That is what she needed to represent her and her family

I always look for how people try to represent themselves early on in an investigation, before they have had time to put a great deal of thought into what they are doing or saying. It gives me many clues.

Ron C was even sporting a G.A.P (God Answers Prayers) cap in many of his early interviews...

For the record, I do believe in a Higher Entity; a Power Greater than my mortal self.. But to pretend you are relying on God and faith in prayer for God to answer your prayer when you know your child/grandchild is deceased ...IMHO thats a BIG NO NO..A grossly irreverent stance toward what is held to be sacred.. And IMHO Haleigh's life is sacred in the eyes of God..JMHO..

I agree dodie. I think that an outside Law Enforcement Agency (SBI, FBI, Special Task Team, whatever) who can investigate this case without being hindered by the local LE. An Investigative Team who will be willing to expose whatever corruption may have played a part in this case not being solved. I am one of those posters who do believe that local LE were forced to "cherry-pick" who was going to be investigated and told just how far the investigation could go. This investigation has been so lopsided from the get-go, now LE is back to square one. I think that this case file has been moved to an unused corner of the department and left there to gather dust. A very big part of the people involved in Haleigh's short life has been left untouched. The very fact that Ronald and Hope are sitting in jail for a long, long time shows that there has to be some evidence that was uncovered that implicate their participation in Haleigh's death or they would not be sitting in prison for so long. LE may think that they have handled the case sufficiently for the public in that area but I think that they forgot about all the other people who refuse to give up on justice for Haleigh.
