geesh... the case is constantly changing....abduction by stranger, abduction by someone close to the family/friend, homicide...which is it? and why the need to call it a homicide, then change it back to an abduction????

There were rumors that someone saw some children, maybe HaLeigh. There was also the one that the purple car was there all night but nobody has ever answered what Ron drove to work or wherever he was.

And the rumor someone said about the neighbors seeing children came from Marie Griffis. Thats it. There have been no neighbors saying they saw Haleigh, but if Marie Griffis said it, it must be a fact right?

I'll believe that someone told Marie that, but she wasn't there.

My understanding is it was TN who told MG some neighbors claimed they had seen Haleigh that afternoon... Imagine that...JMHO

bbm, It's an older article but I did find it:

"So far sources say law enforcement can't shake his alibi, backed up by cell phone tower pings, co workers and thumb print scan check-ins, and still maintain Misty holds the key to what happened."

http://www.artharris.com/2010/09/24/exclusive-kiss-ronald-cummings-bye-bye/

Thank you, Flossie. I don't actually put much into anything coming from Art Harris, though. IIRC, I actually saw a video bite of the sheriff (?) stating there is video showing Ron was at work.

Yea, it's so sad that anyone can find so little positive to say about Ron. Must be a reason for that.

LOL, I know quite a few people the same can be said about, whose children have all survived to adulthood. A person can be scum of the earth and still not be a child killer.

I just feel like sometimes people seem to have the idea if it turns out Ron had nothing to do with what happened with Haleigh, it automatically makes him eligible for sainthood. That is just not true.

Ron not being involved, that doesn't change what he did to Crystal, what he did to the other baby mamma, what he did to Misty, the way he treated his kids, the drugs he dealt, etc. etc. It doesn't suddenly make him a caring parent, it doesn't turn him into father of the year material.

I saw it too. Then they went on to say, "However" we don't know when the crime occurred, so him being at work at that point (logically) means nothing. jmo

I actually did some research today on if the water department keeps a detailed record on a households water consumption to see if Misty was really washing blankets. That is how badly I want this case to move forward. Any little thing that can get it going again. Well I got nowhere with that. So what is next? Do we just have to sit here and wait?

BBM: At least you are not waiting all alone. You have lots of company sitting here waiting with you, LOL.:seeya:

Yep, what vehicle Ron was driving that night has always been on the list of things I really want to know. It would be so simple for LE to at least give out a few confirmed details to help this case be solved..........:banghead: Who knows? If some of these simple little details were revealed someone might come forward with vital information.

My opinion is,:seeya: that could be why details aren't being revealed...Someone is hoping that no one will come forward with info. Maybe someday in our lifetime, would be great...

I am certain that at some point through the 2 years and 4 mos that this info below has been posted and discussed at one point or another.. But in following the Lauren Spierer case several of us have spoken about Haleigh's case with some that are not familiar in following cases that had posted about it not being likely that a group of IU college kids would be able to hide or dispose of a body so well that it would remain unfound.. I simply directed them over to have a look at Haleighs case and the fact that a group of uneducated, low income young people had thus far(2yrs and 4mos) managed to do exactly that(that being to hide and/or dispose of Haleighs body to where it still remains unfound).. A new member when in searching about info after I'd directed him to Haleigh's case had pointed out this article below and in now looking back at the sheer huge numbers of LE, FBI, professional search groups, and multiple searches using every single type of trained dog search for any sign of Haleigh or evidence of where or what was done to her.. I am now astounded and believe that the amount of professionals that were working this case, literally from day 2 forward is just jaw dropping.. Read the excerpts below that I snipped that include the specifics Of which I am talking about.. I think most will be amazed at seeinghow much help was given IMMEDIATELY.. Yet as we know still to this day no closer than on day 1 of this investigation.. I ask how?? How with this huge number of highly educated and trained professionals just how in the he!! Have this group Of ppl managed to still to this day remain having Haleigh's body unfound nor any justice served on her behalf.. It is truly 100% baffling to me..
Aerial searches for Haleigh continued for several days, in addition to ongoing ground searches, which involved 104 people on Day 1 and 70 on Day 2.

Divers are searched sections of the St. Johns River, located only 400 yards from the front door of Haleigh's home. Capt. Rose said the focus on the river is due to it's close proximity.

Putnam County Sheriff's Office Lead Investigator Jon Merchant said cadaver dogs, bloodhounds, article search dogs, dive teams and marine units were involved.

Sixteen FBI agents flew in to work on timelines on Feb. 11, 2009 and other agencies assisting that day included: St. Johns County, Flagler County, Volusia County, Marion County, the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, the State Attorney, 7th Circuit and various Fla. volunteer emergency service groups, Inv. Merchant said.

Team Adam was on the scene for Day 2 of the search and Texas Equusearch arrived on Day 3 and began their search the next day.

Investigators said the mounted team would be able to cover areas that are hard to reach on foot.

Inv. Merchant said there are conflicting witness statements over whether or not the back door was locked. In the 9-1-1 call, Misty tells the operator that the door is always locked.

Misty, Ronald and other family members, including grandparents on both sides, have been questioned by police and additional interviews are planned.

Investigators say their main focus is just to find the little girl whose disappearance is now being investigated as an abduction.

"You wonder how a child can be taken out of a bedroom, but it happens," Inv. Merchant said.

Capt. Rose said they have identified and located 44 sex offenders within a 5 mile radius of the home and most or all of them have been contacted by police.

Merchant confirmed that and air conditioning repairman did visit the home at 5 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2009, the day before Haleigh's disappearance, but police are confident he was not involved.

Inv. Merchant said he was questioned within an hour of the disappearance and provided a solid alibi.

Police have not focused the investigation on any individual at this point.

"All the world is a suspect right now," Major Gary Bowling of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

On Feb. 13, 2009 Police continue to search by land, water and air.

Fifteen cadaver dogs from Georgia were brought in to assist with the ground search in addition to other search dogs that were already on the scene.

Police confirmed that both Ronald and Misty have taken polygraph tests and they are "satisfied" with the results.

Ronald told AMW on the evening of Feb. 12, 2009 that there were two beds in the room where Misty and the children were sleeping.

Ronald said Misty and Junior were in one bed and Haleigh was sleeping in another, a few feet away.

Misty originally told police that all three of them were sleeping in the same bed, according to Inv. Merchant.

Though the family is staying in the area, the house is roped off and the family has not been allowed back inside.

On Feb. 15, 2009, police announced that they were investigating the possibility that missing sex offender Chad Eugene Reynolds from Ochlawha, Fla. could be involved, but so far no link has been established.

Cops said a canvass of the neighborhood Monday, Feb 16, 2009 brought in several new leads, but have not said what those leads are.

The search scaled back Monday, but Putnam Sheriffs continue to investigate Haleigh's mysterious disappearance.

Cops announced that the pink shirt Haleigh was said to be wearing had been recovered on Feb. 18, 2009. They have no said where the shirt was found, but asked that the public focus on her face and not her clothing when looking for the girl.

On Feb. 19, 2009, police conducted block searches in the area surrounding Haleigh's home. Equusearch continues to assist and authorities are using dogs.

Investigators are in the process of re-interviewing family and friends. They plan to take the timeline back to a month before her disappearance and talk with anyone who may have had contact with the girl during that time.

Police announced that a sexual predator who lives about a mile from Haleigh's home is in custody on a probation violation, but cops do not think he had anything to do with it.

His movement is tracked 24 hours a day by an electronic monitoring device.

Police continue to question family members, who they say have been 100% cooperative with the investigation.

Ronald, Misty and crystal's fiance are among those re-questioned.

On Feb. 26, 2009 investigators launched a K-9 search, using cadaver dogs to cover the area within a 1/4 mile radius of the home, according to Capt. Rick Schauland of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Police expect a dozen K-9 teams, made up of a dog and a handler, to be in the area by Feb. 27.

In seeing these numbers in black and white and realizing the absolute paramount level of aide and help in this investigation IMO is nothing less than ASTOUNDING!! TRULY ASTOUNDING!!

yes, these are some of the many reasons I think LE did their best and is still doing their best, to solve this case. Honestly, I don't think they're perfect, but I don't see LE trying to cover-up anything, or bumbling their way through this. IMO, they need a break...a crucial piece of the puzzle, to bind things together. Actually, I think they probably know what happened, but are waiting this bunch out, in order to get a body. They've got about 15 years to play around with, so maybe they're not in a big hurry. GEEZE! I wish somebody would crack. Moo.

Respectfully snipped for space.

I agree, seeing all this in black and white makes it difficult to believe Ronald Cummings is so all powerful he has controlled this investigation, but to each his own...

I just wanted to put my :twocents: in on this, also. There are so many people who are missing who to date have never even had a trace of them turn up, and I doubt they were all done in by criminal masterminds. There are just so many places a body can be put that it won't be found unless someone just happens to stumble over it. When you factor in a lot of areas in Florida still have swamp remnants and washed up seaweed, both of which can smell pretty bad, and lush overgrowth to the point I've seen little sections of flora in between roads so overgrown I wouldn't enter them without some serious snake and spider protection (seriously, in Clearwater, there is a little triangle, probably no more than 40ft per side right next to a major highway, that looks like a jungle and stinks).

IMO, a lot of times it's like finding a needle in a haystack, and there wasn't a lot of brains on the part of the person who killed and dumped the body. They only found part of Zhara Baker, and that was with ****** showing them where to look.

It’s possible someone planned to abduct Hailey when Misty was sleeping alone with the kids and they found a way to slip inside, grab Hailey and escape without leaving a trace. I think she was stolen and transported by boat and only Hailey and the person who stole her know the truth of how she got there. Since no evidence has turned up yet to prove Hailey was murdered in her community I think she may still be alive.

I still waiting to hear what Amber Brooks has to say. what ever happen to Haleigh has to do with what was going on during the party week end.

Has anyone ever heard about the skull that was found? If the police identified it and it was published, I must have missed it. txs
