Can you blame us?
As a species i mean?
As a reality tv and facebook addicted nation, how can we still expect boundaries? i think they went out the window years ago already. Stay under the radar if you don't want this. Don't cover up murder and don't lie and don't act creepy for years.

I most definitely blame those in our species who take that natural curiosity to an extreme. To me, taking pictures and calling the press is an extreme. Saying to oneself or to a companion, "Oh, isn't that the Anthonys? Did you watch that case? Wonder what they're doing here in NC..." and then going about one's own business is how the vast majority of people react to such things, thank goodness.

I most certainly do expect boundaries. I don't excuse pathetic behavior like following people around a mall and snapping pics of them and delivering them to the press. There's no excuse for that. Even the 'reality TV and FB' excuse doesn't cut it with me, even though I know there are some people who think reality TV is real and that Facebook is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The person or persons who followed them in that mall are the creepy ones, if you ask me.

MarthaM, I've really enjoyed reading all your comments because I, too, am often disappointed by some people's standards. I have to admit, though, that I find it more shocking to turn on my tv and find Cindy Anthony screaming at people to "get off your 🤬🤬*es and find my grand daughter" than to understand why people would follow her around and take her picture.

I'm sure I would be agog if I saw the Anthonys in my town; I would probably stare and have to remind myself to shut my hanging jaw. It wouldn't be my choice to follow them nor snap any pictures but I can't really condemn anyone who does. They are only reacting to the image that Cindy, herself, has created ~ for whatever reasons. IMO, their reactions are a lot less harmless and innocent than what Cindy has authored. Cindy is the one who has done things more extreme than these people. It's her boundaries that concern me the most.

The actions of the gawkers and photog ~ no harm, no foul. Wish I could say the same about Cindy.

Great post, ITA.

They aren't being hunted. People aren't staked out following them ,just waiting to get a picture .
The pictures from the mall came from someone who happened to be there the same time they were.
The only other times I recall media taking their pics is when their lawyer announced what they were going to be doing.

Shortly after Lippman became the Anthony's lawyer ,we didn't hear much from them and rarely saw news of them. There were many posts about the A's finally getting a good lawyer to keep them quiet. No one was interested in them and the hatred died down.
They put themselves back in the news with their lawyer making public announcements. They want attention. I believe they thought they would get more interviews about the foundation.

Again I say, look at Lee. He stays quiet ,lives his life and we don't see pictures of him turning up all over the place. He wants to stay out of the public eye .It could be the same for George and Cindy ,but that's not the choice they made.
IMO they would freak if suddenly no one paid any attention to them.

They've probably been asked to do more interviews, just stands to reason or Dr. Phil wouldn't be contributing to the foundation to get them on his season opener.

They could have been on many, many shows after the verdict and they could have made a pretty penny doing it - no one was boycotting their appearances. They were on nothing.

I don't see these two people as attention 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 - not at all. They never asked for any of this.

So then we should agree that it is okay for the A's to appear on Dr. Phil's program, reveal personal information for the whole nation to ponder but when people see them locally where they normally do not appear that these people should just mind their own business and act like they aren't there. They have overexposed themselves to the public eye and should probably learn to deal with what that exposure brings. Presently they are somewhat of a household word and not in a good way. People react but no one gave them a hard time. Someone once said, "Publicity is good, even if it's bad." As long as the A's keep making big bucks off their 15 minutes of fame they will not complain and they certainly do not care. That they have already proven in court. jmo

And isn't it easy to forget sometimes the amount of damage CA has done to others who were friends of KC. Those emails from DC speak volumes. She was willing to blame everyone and anyone who ever said "hello" to KC. Many of us still can't believe the lengths to which she was willing to go. jmo

I can care because i live in Florida and am PAYING for their trips, one way or another. Being on Disability and going on cruises and vacations while I work my 🤬🤬* off to pay my bills, my daughters college etc. is definately a reason.

Get off the disability, get a job, see how much your can travel then! And thats not even getting INTO the money spent of FCA.

So yes, i have a reason to follow and be critical of their actions. :banghead:

Disability? Are these public records now?

Cindy got an education and she worked all her life until this happened. People who educate themselves and work hard all their lives deserve to take vacations.

Cindy worked for a lot of years and paid into social security and disability - she is not taking anyone's money - you work, you are entitled to the same SSI and social security if you qualify. Whether she qualifies or not should not be anyone's concern - she paid and earned the pittance she may or may not be receiving.

Yes.

I don't think people have to act like they're not there but yes... mind their own business.

They have overexposed themselves to the public eye and should probably learn to deal with what that exposure brings.

I think it's a myth that they've overexposed themselves. I'd like to see a list of all of the interviews they've done and shows they've appeared on (not shows that have done pieces about them, but that they've actually appeared on).

Presently they are somewhat of a household word and not in a good way.

As I've said before, they're not a household name around here and I don't think many people would recognize them in a mall. Their daughter? Yes. Definitely a household name and somebody people might notice when she's out in public.

People react but no one gave them a hard time.

I don't consider taking photos of them and following them to be a mere 'reaction'. A reaction would be what I referred to in a previous post... a person noticing them and saying to themselves or a friend, "Oh, isn't that the Anthonys? Wonder what they're doing up here." The hard time starts when the person who spotted them moves into papparazzi-wannabe mode.

Someone once said, "Publicity is good, even if it's bad." As long as the A's keep making big bucks off their 15 minutes of fame they will not complain and they certainly do not care. That they have already proven in court. jmo

I don't know them personally so I don't know whether they care or what their feelings are about stuff like this. Unlike a lot of people, I can't assume that they love the publicity and are looking for more of it.

I wouldn't want Cindy's pic in my camera but if someone else chooses to take one, go ahead. She loves the attention. She doesn't care if it's in a dying mall or a busy street corner as long as she is getting the attention. In many ways she is as infamous as her daughter. MOO

New car, travelling, shopping, and a nice home to return to when they have finished their work day.... oh wait, scratch the part about work.

Oh none of the A's have to work, they will continue to live off the blood money from Caylee. Private planes, meals, money, first class for a bunch of third class low lifes. I don't get it. :banghead:

IIRC there are boycotts for all of the A's. They are almost as hot a potato as OCA.

LambChop, Cindy A. herself caused much of the gawking because of her actions during the past 3 years.

imo Cindy is no saint.

Somewhere in these forums. Someone said they were shopping interviews and no one wanted to pay the price they were charging. Yeah, they could have had a boat load of cash from interviews after the trial but IMO their greed got the best of them. I for one am so glad to have not seen their lying faces on TV.

Second BBM
Hummmm? I wonder why they choose to go out to the front yard and go toe to toe with protesters in the beginning? Was it to get those "lazy azzes" out to find their "missing" granddaughter CAYLEE when so, so many people were looking for CAYLEE while the Anthony's were manning the donation jars at the tents they threw up? I sure wish I could see the Anthony's halo's and wings instead of the dollar signs I see rolling in their eyes like a slot machine.

Because at this time...they really believed that Caylee was "missing" based on the words of their daughter. They believed this all along. Caylee never drowned. George wasn't there. KC murdered Caylee and now George and Cindy know this to be true based on the lies KC's lawyers told at trial.

I don't think any of us have to ever assume the A's like publicity. "The proof is in the pudding." Dr. Phil will do nicely as a starter. jmo

As much as I haul behind to this forum for the latest information and inside scoop, I usually research for myself if sources aren't provided and I have never seen a single source to support the A's "shopping for interviews" and being turned down due to what they were charging. IMO posters on forums can say pretty much anything they want to, but it doesn't make it all true.

I don't know how accommodating I would be if hordes of people were yelling "baby killer" in my front yard - what did they want, Casey's head on a platter. Those people crossed and got what they should have expected...IMO.

O My My My!
Take 'permanent' vacation on tax payers money? Oh Boy :banghead:!
I worked hard all of my life too and am disabled but I will have to 'hire' an attorney to help me with my claim. It's very hard to get disability if your an average person. I can also assure you I still wouldn't be able to vacation on it as I need it for the basics of daily living.

Snipped with respect...

Yowza. I don't have enough typewriter ribbon to make that list. Go to youtube and type in her name, you can sit at the computer for days and not get through them all. I recommend you start with the Larry King Show appearances, and really REALLY listen to what she says, the lies she spews with a straight face.

LE will always tell you under these types of circumstances and GA knew this as well, that you have to leave these people be, ignore them and they will lose interest and go home. What they want is a confrontation and the A's were very accommodating. The A's did not listen, surprise, surprise. jmo
