The live stream I've been watching mostly, you can't help it. When they have a chance, they stick a talking head in there. That's thelivestream that works best for me usually - the others freeze up.

IMHO

I have found wildabouttrial is excellent. They go to the seal when there is no court

Mr West is making a good point. I haven't heard any lawyers say that the state would ask for murder in the 3rd degree murder based on child abuse.

I think that the state is pulling a fast one. MOO.

IMO, DW is right, they had planned this all along. The state knew they had no case, that it was all politics. When push came to shove and testimony was over (including yesterday's disaster), they pulled out their nuclear option. They knew that in no way did they prove M2. Someone called someone and out came the child abuse excuse. The government is using all its power (Angela Corey I'm looking at you) to railroad GZ into a guilty verdict.

Just as Lee said last night, they don't care if it is reversed, just get the conviction.

If I seem to disappear, I am editing myself so I don't get banned from this site.
I do, however, promise not to riot.

Since the Prosecutor is the one who decides what charges to bring and they carry with them the force of the state against an individual, shouldn't they be required to decide what they think their evidence supports BEFORE the final day of trial?

TM didn't need to go home, why should he? He has a right to hang out in the neighborhood. GZ is the one who ASSUMED he was up to no good and started the ball rolling. TM I'm sure didn't know GZ had called NE on him and for what reason? Simply he was not running to get out of the rain? Looking around? TM didn't now he was being targeted as a "suspect" ... Had GZ let the police handle this, I none of this would have happened, in fact I bet the police would have simply stayed in their cars just keeping an eye out. GZ, however, took off after TM knowing full well he should not have done that. :twocents:

Actually people don't have a right to just hang out. It can be tresspassing and loitering depending on the laws in the area.

He did indeed go home as he told RJ. And then after running, because she states when she calls him back he is out of breath, Breathing heavy he sees GZ again.. He does not say.. GZ sees him.. HE says HE sees him. If GZ saw him first again, He would have called back.. Even in the account he gives he says he was reaching for his phone when TM punched him.

All in evidence.

You are correct. He didn't need to go home but he did need to keep his fists to himself. imo

Question--aren't LE required to call out to a suspected perp----Halt !! police..And if they don't do this and end up shooting an unarmed person aren't there reviews of their actions...Why couldn't GZ state--Hey--neighborhood watch person here--Are you lost or do you need help.....I was on neighborhood watch in Illinois and we were told never to carry weapons---we were there to be observant. Moms like I kept an eye on the bus-stops and watched for suspicious vehicles. If we saw something suspicious we would call the cops...We were watching primarily for potential Pedophiles---ie keep the kids safe...We didn';t follow people but did offer the police descriptions of vehicles , license numbers etc..I am just not used to neighborhood watch doing these kinds of things. IMOO

MISTRIAL!

IMO it is proven by the 911 call that GZ provoked and initiated the confrontation.

Did he confront TM on the 911 call? Did he say anything to TM on the 911 call? IMO it proves nothing.

Right. The shooting of TM did not happen because GZ got out of his car nor because TM did not go into his home. When you cut through all the minutia, once TM physically attacked Zim while saying he was going to kill him, the dynamics of this incident changed. GZ was brutally being attacked, beg for help and ultimately had no choice but to shoot his attacker.

This requires that you believe a proven liar. ((Shoulder shrugs))

I'll admit, I never thought I would see the day, that a large number of posters on this forum, most of whom have long always sided with the prosecution in many trials, side and argue for the defense in this case. There are posters on this forum that actually agree with defense lawyer talking heads.

Hell must have froze over.

It's crazy, isn't it? This is SO foreign to me. Never in my life have I watched a trial that I didn't feel total & complete animosity toward the defendant. Don't get me wrong, I have an 18 and 16 year old son, so I am very sympathetic...and feel for TMs parents. IMO.

Just tuned in...what was West claiming was a trick? tia

He received a very well-written and well-constructed email this morning just after 7 a.m. and buried in that email was notice that the State planned to attempt to get the charge of murder3 by child abuse.

He claims they had that email prepared up to a year ago, and this was sprung on him out of nowhere when he would have no way at all to prepare for court.

IMHO

That's interesting, Dibsy, I don't know anyone who doesn't think Zimmerman is being railroaded. i think the public may be divided into "clumps" and like minded people tend to be friends with each other. My facebook friends are 100% unanimous in their postings that this trial is a farce meant to quell an angry and ill-informed group of possible rioters. I literally don't know anyone who thinks Zimmerman should be convicted, although everyone has sympathy for the grieving family.

IMHO

I read a number of online polls and all of them overwhelming thinks GZ acted in self defense and should not be found guilty.

Neither the state nor the defense has been able to Prove that TM ever struck GZ...it's been suggested he fell into the bushes GZ kept talking about..fell on the sidewalk, fell on the ground, fell against the tree in the diagram....the one ME said the injury was minimal...and even went so far as to show how George Zimmerman may have injured his own nose with his own fist, she took her fist to her nose and demonstrated that very thing. He has never been able to prove his injuries were severe or life threatening.....we don't have to believe he THOUGHT they were....that's inadmissable.IMO Two bandaides with a slight nose bleed will not convince ANYONE with an open mind.IMO

We have evidence from Rachel Jeantel...no matter what a low opinion the Defense and some of the public have of her and how much they enjoy making fun of her, that it was Zimmerman who approached TM and grabbed or hit him, with TM telling him to " get off." IMO

Just tuned in...what was West claiming was a trick? tia

West got an email @ 7:30 this morning from the State saying they planned on asking 3rd degree felony murder charge based on child abuse as a lesser included

If convicted of Third Degree Murder, a judge is required to impose a minimum prison sentence of 10⅓ years in prison and can impose any additional combination of the following penalties:

Up to 15 years in prison.
Up to 15 years of probation.
Up to $10,000 in fines.

Just tuned in...what was West claiming was a trick? tia

Prosecution threw a bunch of lesser charges out there; one namely being a charge involving child abuse (I'm doing a very cliff note version, someone can be more specific) and West was outraged that they did all this at the 11th hour and it was obvious the pros have been preparing this for months and just sprung it on them and they had no time to prepare anything.

The child abuse charge was wayyyyy reaching IMO

IMO this won't be popular to say, but I have noticed Mr. West smirking and being snippy. I think most could agree he is argumentative. So if I were the judge, I'd be cranky with him too. :moo:

He's watching everything he stands for turned into a travesty with the life of his client hanging in the balance. His outrage is more than justified. If he were not outraged, I'd worry. jmo

TM didn't need to go home, why should he? He has a right to hang out in the neighborhood.

And GZ had the right to get out of his car and walk around in HIS NEIGHBORHOOD where HE is part of the neighborhood watch without being attacked! IMO.

Some of the skeptics and cynics among us, me included, believe that anyone who straps on a fully loaded semi-automatic 9mm just to go out for some milk (his original story) already knows exactly what they will say if they choose or "have" to fire their weapon and either maime or kill an unarmed person. It is MY OPINION that GZ is/was fully aware of what he would "have" to say if the unthinkable happened. All my opinion.

There are books and websites that outline what to say and not to say to LE if you shoot someone. Example. After You Shoot by Alan Horwin.
