I agree with that, but, again, being gung ho isn't a crime and it certainly isn't murder.

No it isn't but in this instance, murder was committed :( and there is nothing wrong with TM wanting to know why he was being followed, and nothing wrong with TM feeling threatened and defending himself without a weapon.

yes, and someone's child broke the nose of George and started using his head as a basketball.

That is not a fact or been proven in the trial. I'll wait to see his dr. report in court, and evidence Trayvon harmed him. Maybe George pulled his gun and Trayvon was trying to subdue GZ so as not to get shot.

It would have been more unusual if he hadn't.

Question, I keep hearing people say he was on neighborhood watch patrol this evening. I thought that he wasn't on patrol and was just leaving to go to Target. Was he actual patrolling this evening?

No, he was not on watch that night and he was going to Target.

I agree - I know from personal experience (a burglary next door to my 85 year old mom) that repeated crime changes the neighborhood and the residents. It makes residents more jumpy, more suspicious, not trusting strangers.

My mom lived there over 50 years and things were one more before the crime began and another completely different way after.... SO I assume GZ and his neighbors were persistent in reporting, following, etc. in an attempt to prevent YET ANOTHER neighborhood incident.

Unless you have lived under this threat - it is hard to imagine how people react to events.

This is only after people threatened to riot if he was not arrest. This is based on race and nothing more.

LE did do a real investigation and decided that George was telling the truth about what happened.

People can threaten to riot (and in this case there were PROTESTS not RIOTS) all they want, the law isn't going to string up someone innocent to calm the public. There is evidence showing that he is NOT innocent and once a Full investigation took place he was charged. And if we're going to talk about RACE then lets address the real issue about why George thought Trayvon was "suspicious". George found Trayvon to be suspicious because according to him, houses were being robbed and ALL of the robbers happened to be black, so he see's a black man walking who became an "*******" that "Always got away" a "Punk".

No. A killing happened. The trial is to decide if it was murder or not.

There is nothing wrong with TM wanting to know why he was being followed or feeling threatened but there is something wrong with physically assaulting that person.

Have you not seen the pictures of his broken nose and injuries to the back of his head????

I think the path of the bullet dispels that theory.

Right. It doesn't make sense to me that GZ accosted TM with a gun and TM responded by punching him in the nose and banging his head on the pavement.

Again, this confrontation would not have happened had GZ not been so gun ho. TM was simply out and about minding his own business and now he's dead. GZ put himself in this situation, not the other way around. :twocents:;)

If TM confronted GZ first, GZ isn't guilty, no matter what GZ did before that time.

The evidence is already starting to show that he is in fact, innocent.

which is true, ALL the robberies were committed by black males.

Where is the proof/evidence that TM was threatened? Where is the proof/evidence that TM knew that GZ even had a weapon?

We don't know who started the assault, we do know who had the gun, we do know who called in a report, we do know who got out of the car to find the "suspicious" person who took off running for what seems to me would be because he was afraid of the person who was watching him. We do know who pulled the trigger.

Civilian police liaison says she thought Zimmerman was trying to make his neighborhood better.

And that may be true so i guess thats why GZ went into chuck norris mode. Trayvon "looked" like a black robber walking home. Thats called profiling. Thanks.

And we do know who broke GZ's nose and bashed his head against the pavement.

You are right though, we don't know how it got physical and that is the central question in all of this.

Also, get off the issue about the gun being bought to kill a dog.. If this has been said in court or MSM let me know. But right now I am seeing it as hearsay..TIA

This statement was made by the prosecutor this morning during the hearing. It is not hearsay.

Most people that seem convinced GZ is guilty do not seem to be interested in the actual evidence. It seems to me that is more of an emotional decision.

For me, and only me, Seeing him as Innocent is how our system works. The state has to prove him guilty. And for me the evidence is not there yet. Most likely the evidence that is most likely to sway me is the physical evidence.

I want to know the truth. But if you are putting someone on trial for murder you have to prove that to me.
