The pictures they are showing now shows his head injuries better.

Yes. You can clearly see many lumps and abrasions. IMO, this strengthens GZ's self defense claim.

GZ didn't put himself in a position to make TM attack him. TM was certainly committing a crime as he attacked GZ...TM escalated the situation. You can't beat someone up for following you.

what crime??? do you have a link?? i haven't seen any evicedence TM was committing a crime, can you show me?

TM was not in the wrong by any stretch of the imagination in my estimation. He was peaceabley on his own family property when GZ targeted him.
GZ's filthy and hate mongering words to LE BEFORE he engaged with TM will prove this was a hate inspired crime. Exactly what is needed by the Prosecution for conviction.
Where is this coming from? I've seen it repeated several times that he was on his own property, but all of the initial reports say he was something like 700 feet away from his house that was way farther south than his body was found.

Where's the evidence that this is a hate crime?

You do realize that GZ has a black grandfather and he would tutor black children on the weekends?

Tracy Martin nor Trayvon lived at the complex. Both were Guests. Tracy lived in Miami Gardens.

State has No case and they never have.

Fight, flight or freeze are the basic human survival instincts. This was a seemingly highly volatile situation to which both men reacted. It appears that assigning cause and effect for the outcome is what the issue may be. This has got to be a tough call. IMO, it comes down to use of force, who was the prey, who was the aggressor and how did this just go so wrong.

You can see for yourself in the evidence presented at trial. TM was witnessed on top of GZ, he inflicted GZ's injuries. That is a crime. Probably battery. Violently assaulting someone is a crime. You don't think the cuts, lacerations, etc that TM inflicted are indicative of a crime?

Battery is, in fact, a crime.

Defending oneself is not. And following an unknown kid in the dark whilst packing heat is pretty darn aggressive in my book.

I saw it last night on HLN. Of course GZ may have chased him elsewhere, given he pursued him.

Breaking somebody's nose and using their head as a basket ball in a crime and it is illegal.

No, I do not. If anything, they are indicative of a boy defending himself from a strange man that followed him and eventually killed him.

I think west did a good job of making sure all of GZ head injuries were clear. His head was a mess.. Bumps, bruises.. He should have been checked out.

So the broken nose and contusions to the head just magically appeared?

we do not have proof yet of a broken nose or the extent of the injuries on the head, it is all speculation untill we see his medical records, if you google, you get 200 sites and half says it was broken, have said it wasn't, so imo you can't say 100& sure that the nose was broken until we see the medical reports

This is a sincere question, not trying to start a thing.

How do you know GZ was walking back to his vehicle? How do you know TM was not within GZ's sight?

Because GZ told the dispatcher he didn't see TM, that he didn't know where TM went. After the dispatcher told him there was no need to follow GZ simply said "OK" and was returning to his vehicle when he was approached from behind.

I don't get why people want to see GZ as evil and TM as angelic. The media have been liars in all this - editing the tape, showing pics of TM at a young age, call GZ a white hispanic, fanning the flames of racial bias. The media has never covered the reason why TM was staying with his father, they ignored the number of times TM had been in trouble at school, the stolen jewelry incident while at the same time claim GZ was a cop wannabe. If people are going to slam GZ about his past and about what he MIGHT have been thinking they why can't TM's past and what he MIGHT have been doing be same?

How would Martin have known he possessed a concealed firearm? Walking towards someone, behind someone, near someone, even asking that person a question is not a physical act of aggression that would cause self-defense to come into play. You can get all kinds of scared that a person is following you, but it doesn't give you the right to just haul off and punch them. If you're truly so scared, maybe you should use the cell phone you have on you to call 911 and report this guy with a gun that's following you in the dark.

How was TM defending himself?

Was watching the pics of GZ's head and face......I've had my nose broken twice in my lifetime. The area around my eyes went black and blue, and my eyelids drooped. My nose and area around my eyes went red immediately. Both times I was bleeding from my nose.
Not buying the "broken nose"... and I'm not seeing the "road rash" on the back of the head. When someone is pounding the back of your head into the concrete, you're head doesn't just smack straight into the concrete unless you're unconscious. You're struggling and you'd have more of abrasion type wounds. I also don't see any marks where TM would have gripped GZ's head to drive it into the concrete. JMO.

Absolutely agree because the immediate pictures of GZ's head show extremely minor scratches...not even deep enough to be labeled abrasions.
