One of three things would have happened if GZ announces his weapon.
1. TM would run away and still be alive.
2. TM would be detained until police arrived.
3. TM would pull out his gun and shoot GZ.
Now which one do think would have happened using your common sense?

4. Martin would have felt his life was in danger, and fought Zimmerman...

I've only heard that term in tv shows/movies, not in real life. Plus, it's usually with gang members isn't it? TM doesn't sound like he would use that term, :twocents:

Perhaps I suffer from generational out-of-touch, said the oldster, but do parent's no longer teach their children to remove themselves from situations where they feel threatened and/or uneasy and to come home or call home for assistance?

They both made mistakes. He ran and then instead of continuing home he stopped, possibly to confront the man that was following him. But that is beside the point.

Listening to GZ's written statement: How could GZ be on top of Trayvon holding Trayvon's hands down when Trayvon's hands/arms were folded under his chest?

This statement read in court doesn't make sense. GZ's version. GZ says he was on top of Trayvon, spread out Trayvon's arms and hands, asked someone to help him apprehend Trayvon. Ummm...Trayvon was dead. IMO - Trayvon didn't move after and his hands were tucked under his body. How did his body end up that way. Doesn't line up to GZ's story. IMO

Hopefully, someone got a screen shot. GZ changed the location of his vehicle during the interview. Were there any bushes like GZ claimed in this interview?

Now, they are referring to his statement. GZ knew the street and had reported it before, how come he states to the 911 dispatcher that he needed to get out of the car and didn't know the street? This is why I don't believe him. He knew the street name, had reported it in prior occasion.

In the signed report, GZ refers to Trayvon as the "suspect". No GZ, Trayvon is the victim. IMO.

Yes, it gives me the chills to hear how cool as a cucumber he sounded IMO after killing a young boy.

IMO, I think this ability to keep his wits about him is what helped him keep himself alive that night. Believe it or not, some people don't get all emotional in stressful times. MOO

No one dies instantly, though, unless they are incinerated or the subject of a very severe blast.

Even people who are beheaded don't die right away. I'm sure Trayvon was conscious for at least 30 seconds, and technically alive for about 2 minutes, when he would have brain death from lack of fresh blood circulating.

In my opinion...
It is very possible that he did not know he was dead. Police will do the same thing.. Even if a suspect is down, Make sure he hands are not near weapons.

He probably would have been unconscious in seconds because of the blood pressure nosedive.

You state this as fact ("we know")... so do you have a source for this? This is the first time I've heard of this precedent. And even if it is correct, law enforcement are held to a completely different standard than a civilian.

The autopsy showed NO injuries to Trayvon's hands, especially his dominate hand. If Trayvon was going to jump someone, he clearly would have punched GZ with his dominate hand. JMO

I believe they said Trayvon had a cut on his hand.

I had always heard he was going to Target. Googling the Target in Sanford, I discovered it's a "SuperTarget", so it has a grocery store component within the store.
