George had a non working flashlight with him that night.
There are conflicting answers to that question and they come from George himself. At one point he said he was walking his "patrol" then later on claimed he was on his way to Target.
Are you sure he was on duty that night? My understanding was that he was on his way to Target, was not on duty, and just happened to come across TM. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.
From what I heard - the small keychain had a tiny light attached that was found (turned on) somewhere on the ground at the scene. There was speculation that this showed that GZ had his keys in his hand (returning to car) at the time the attack occurred. Or possibly he was using the little light to read an address to give to dispatcher?
A question:
Are smilies OFF here on purpose .. or did i touch something in my settings, lol?
Like I said, I am not up to speed on this case. I have some questions.
Did GZ ever state stop or I will shoot?
Earlier, I read posts that GZ was trained in MMA I think or wrestled. Could TM have been stopped in another way by GZ and did GZ have a duty to do that first?
Was GZ charged due to public pressure or was he in violation of the law?
Why did GZ lie to police or change his story or whatever he allegedly did?
Does the "Stand your ground law" cover this tragic shooting?
TIA for your help!
Yes .. Re: smilies ... -- more likely then ..Not on purpose. I will look into it. More than likely my fault.
And the bar will close in a bit when I head to bed![]()

Earlier, I read posts that GZ was trained in MMA I think or wrestled. Yes, he was. Could TM have been stopped in another way by GZ and did GZ have a duty to do that first? GZ had no duty to do anything, he wasn't even on "watch" that night.
Was GZ charged due to public pressure or was he in violation of the law? Violation of the law. We'll see if he gets convicted
Why did GZ lie to police or change his story or whatever he allegedly did? People who hide things are usually lying. I would go with lying to cover up what he did. Consciousness of guilt
Does the "Stand your ground law" cover this tragic shooting? No. Stand your Ground is off the table.
TIA for your help!
In my opinion: COVER. He was basically reciting a list detailing an escalating threat that would lead to a justified shooting right there in the street. But two things conspired to ruin this: the first is that we know TM was not doing the things GZ described so menacingly, and the second was that TM ran.
Which, in my opinion, is what really inspired GZs anger. Here he had gone to all this trouble to set up a free killing, and the guy ran away leaving him with nothing. It's not like he could call back a week later with the same story. It was either kill TM or kill no one.
In my opinion of course.
I found it very interesting that the defense attorney tried to point out that Zimmerman is ONLY right handed when he writes and does everything else with his left hand. He said this in opening. However, when you look at the video of Zimmerman, he clearly uses his right hand to do the shooting of a gun motion.
It would be interesting, if the state can prove that Zimmerman is right handed all the time.

BBM Respectfully, you have absolutely no evidence that TM was not doing the things GZ described so menacingly.
