So why are people saying he chased Trayvon? This is an honest question, because I clearly hear the NEN operator say "We do not need you to do that" (follow him) and George Zimmerman says "Okay" and continued to talk to the NEN about his location.

I'm confused on why people state as fact that he followed him? Where are they getting this information?

from Trayvon Martin's Family lawyer, Benjamin Crump.

Because they have not truly looked at all the evidence and have just gone by what Ben Crump has said and by what the media has said and not looked at teh evidence.

I think Trayvon's dead body means that George found Trayvon!!!

Or again, are you saying that Trayvon found George...and jumped him?

The defenses position is that George was walking back to the car and then Trayvon found him and the fight ensued.. I think that is what I am getting from this jumbled opening.

profiling does not have to be race related. Gender, age...assuming that someone of a certain age or gender causes trouble and should automatically be questioned. Not saying this is what happened here..but it isn't limited only to race or national origin.

So they're allowing emotional displays from TM's family? Unbelievable. Seems quite unfair.

How do you find it unfair? Trayvon was a minor when he was gunned down by GZ
his parents have a right to be in there. And why wouldn't his Mom be emotional & could not bear hearing the 911 call in court.

Does anyone know if GZ will be testifying?

According to what George has said Trayvon found him and by all the evidence, it seems that TM was waiting for GZ.

To me, the screams sound like a young, not fully-developed voice. I don't believe that cry for help sounds like it came out of Zimmerman's diaphragm and vocal chords.

I lean towards it being TM most of the time too, but then again GZ looks like he could *squeal* if the situation called for it.

I still am on the fence.
I can say in the Levi Chavez case (Accused and on trial for killing his wife) his 911 call sounds like a little girl on the tape, and he is a big, hulky cop.
Also, Brent Seacat had a nasely whine a bit in his police interviews (Remember his "NO's!"?).
Just saying, no way to judge what comes out of who without actual examples.

I listen to the facts and only the facts. I heard with my own ears him say "ok", and continue to talk to the NEN about his location... There was no running, chasing screaming...anything.

I am not saying that I am on either side, IMO both sides have something to lose and gain. Recordings do not lie.

I'm thinking probably not, I'm sure his defense attorney's suggest that he not testify.

Why would he testify? The State are the ones who have to prove that what GZ is saying is total BS.

The jury should NOT be seeing emotional displays from anyone. If his mom couldn't handle it she shouldn't be in court. She has no doubt heard it before anyway...so I don't get why they're allowed to pull this stunt. He was gunned down because he attacked GZ "imo".

I hope the jury can reason without emotion and be rational about this. Unfortunately, these displays do not help in that regard.

Zimmerman was Fully cooperative according to his atty.
Didn't GZ go into hiding for several weeks after he was questioned by police?

Watching opening arguments. It's going to be very interesting for me going into a trial where I haven't already pretty much made up my mind about the defendant. I feel like a juror.

Actually they do. kinda.. Even people who see things in front of them can not always tell the exact events even being there in the moment with smell, hearing, seeing the event.

Recordings can still be up to interpretation. And some may hear something different than others.

exactly! He stopped when he was told to and he was headed back to his vehicle.

You can even hear the wind die down as he's talking.

A thought.

Fresh blood from his nose at police station.
Would any of you not wipe your nose on your sleeve or something if you felt liquid dripping from it? Not in everyday situations, obviously. But in panic mode, out in the night, with all that is going on....would you not wipe it in some way without even thinking?

I don't know, it bothers me a bit for some reason.

Me too. I will not rush to judgment. I want to see the case. I have a lean to side but at this point, I am completely neutral.

I hope he does testify. I think it would be very important to get his account of that day. I would want to hear from him. I also think it would help his case because he maintains he acted in self defense.

He would testify to prove self-defense. Don't defendants usually testify in SD cases?

Yes he did, He was receiving death threats and that is why he has been in hiding ever since.

The black panther party even put a bounty on his head.
