Australian national Gerard Peter Scully was arrested and linked to at least one murder in the Philippines. He and a partner were also charged with creating and disseminating child pornography.
Scully, who fled from Australia to the Philippines after being charged with fraud in 2011, is originally from Melbourne, where a series of child abductions and rapes were committed between 1987 and 1991 by an unidentified assailant known to the police as Mr. Cruel. Mr. Cruel's activities in Australia abruptly ended with the murder of 13-year-old Karmein Chan. Mr. Cruel is believed to have filmed his victims.
Based on the above, I believe a circumstantial case can be made that probable serial killer Gerard Peter Scully may also be Mr. Cruel.
