Hmmmm....and regarding the solicitor card that CB had (with a Bible), I wonder if MN ever had to use that solicitor also?
In fact, has that lawyer ever been looked into, seeing as CB had his card? What are his (the lawyer) other connections, and who paid his fees, if any? Curious.

I had a search yesterday to see if I could find the CB rape case lawyer but couldn't.
I wonder whether the card he was carrying was the lawyer/s that repped him during the rape trial, which he then called on again to represent him regarding mm, then they decided is wasn't for them?

Thanks for posting this, it was interesting, couple things that stood out for me was when he carried the first boy to the beach and did not seem worried about being seen walking about with him! (tannemam/smithman) also was able to get a large child out the window ? then the fact he planned everything very well, looked for a target, made sure he knew the layout of the place of abduction, generally hung around the place as if casing it out ! ( all the sightings of someone hanging about OC)

You are right snowpea! That is a thing, even prosecuters have no idea at last, how he may have done that. If he had intimidated his victims with his remarkable voice and appearence, or maybe promised something if they will come with him. Or maybe sedated them?!

And he may have calculated some risks, as if he wanted to be discovered or it has been a kind of challenge.

Also interesting that 2 victims have been buried into sand and the third one has just been laid into a forest, easy to find. That change in the modus operandi seems a bit odd to me.

First two known victims buried in sand, if the french case will be succsessful, the third victim was put into a lake, tied to a concrete block. Points out to try to hide forensic evidence?!

But the last known victim just to be put in the woods? That's unusual IMO.

"Martin Ney, a German detainee already convicted of the murder of three children, was indicted Monday evening for the kidnapping and murder of Jonathan, 11, in April 2004, whose body was found in a pond near Guérande (Loire-Atlantique).

50-year-old Martin Ney was indicted for "murder of a minor under 15 and arrest, kidnapping and forcible confinement, or arbitrary misappropriation of minors under 15," the Nantes prosecutor's office said. It was handed over to the French authorities on Friday."

After some lecture of Alexander Horns descriptions of the investigations against MN i can at least confirm that after trying to blackmail another peado, police confiscated hardware of MN, that contained footage of boys that had been buried into sand, next to child images. Unfortuneatly i didn't find more info about, but i didn't read everything in that short time either. I will look further on that topic.

The other interesting thing is, that the Nicky V. and Jonathan C. cases had been linked to MN very early. In the Jonathan C. case the french prosecuters ruled him out, because the coroner came to the conclusion, that the poor boy could have been alive for weeks after he was abducted. So they ruled out a cross-border perp.

In 2008, an assessment of swiss specialists came to the conclusion, that the boy has been murdered very soon after his abduction, probably in the same night. In his book from 2014 Horn is still convinced about a link to MN, because of the absolutely unique modus operandi, MN used to apply. A modus operandi, that still fits the Nicky V. case, although we know about Jos B., who didn't really confessed, AFAIK.

Another interesting, research-based info in the book about abducted and murdered children:

74 % of all children being abducted and murdered according to sexual motives are losing their poor little lives in the following 4 hours after the abduction.

99 % between the following 24 hours...

Supplement: Due to the perps profile, the prosecuters had been aware of the possibility, that the "masked man" had or will kill a child in periods of three years each!

Yes ..is also good if hear of cooperation between police forces of different countries..putting aside pride and egos etc....that’s what helps the victims.
Recently watched a Real Crime documentary about Caroline Dickinson where such cooperation and sharing of info between various police forces solved the case .

It's also interesting that MN was in Portugal in 1996 when RH went missing, was investigated but never charged and that RH's Father has said that the BKA have reopened that investigation.
Whether to link CB or MN or a connection regarding both - who knows.
