I don't think so. That Markus K. has been on trial in 2018. The one that talked about MN to to police did it already in 2017.

Of course, there are many possibilities but there is no info that this Markus K. has been in prison in lower saxony in 2017 or before. IMO it's not impossible but very unlikely. Markus is a common name in germany.

I still think it could be poss that maybe CB first ran into MN when he was young, who knows, maybe MN was training/working in one of the places CB was as a teen ?

Maybe all coincidence, maybe there could be a link. Also paedo forums could be a reason to some kind of links. Common knowledge, that some of them "users" get to know each other in person, over these kind of "marketplaces or forums". who knows?!

Yes sadly so many places these people can get to know each other, as you say who knows ? but I for one would love to know, really hope we get more info soon

I assume that in most of these cold cases more info will be made, if someone will break down. MN seemed to have done this by revealing his passwords to his hard drives in the end of 2016. That seems to be either some kind of strategy, or a real try of coping with the own past. Although every peadokiller may have his own urges and reasons, it could be a general key to a lot of cold cases.

To be honest, i'm a little bit afraid or let's say concerned, that the current trial in france could be counterproductive.

In Germany he was convicted beside similar perps. I would assume, that a german paedokiller has not much fun in french high-security prisons.

Does that help to solve old cases, that demand honesty from people maybe involved in it?

Maybe yes, due to the hope of better conviction circumstamces, maybe not, due to people with knowledge, playing around with investigators. I'm kind of ambivalent, i must admit...

I would assume that, without a possible denial. If someone confesses to me about some cold cases, i would ask him about MM maybe.

The answer could be: "I didn't do it!" or "I didn't do it but i know who did!"
Who knows...

And if he didnt do it he would have fairly a good idea who did maybe ! But I still cant shake the feeling he is involved some way, of course it could all just be coincidental that he was in the area, he is a dead ringer for a couple photofits, he is a convicted child killer and the list goes on and sadly on.

Yes, from march the 1st, there will be a new documentary on TV Now, including profiler Alexander Horn, the officer that brought MN to confession and Martin Erftenbeck, chief policeman in charge at the time.
