My opinion: financial or cultural reasons.

Or genuine fear. Of a dealer's connections and what could happen to all of them if they say too much. Or, fear that he knows too much about them. Or maybe FR's wife, out of misperceived loyalty, explained to the family that she was somehow involved (I doubt), and now they are protecting her. It is not implausible that FR is manipulating his wife, and she is pushing the parents to stand by him.

But, financial reasons are highly possible. Maybe even more likely.

I'm quite disheartened that I don't think this will ever be truly solved :(
I very badly want justice for Rebecca!

recent articles coming out describing "Hobbydetektive" (lol) groups snooping, vlogging, searching forests and abandoned buildings etc. Many videos streamed, that have subsequently been taken down after reports. They have been warned that their actions are not helpful but more tampering, just another unfortunate addition to a case with bad chances already.

It is reported that the property of BILs grandparents are thoroughly searched with drones, ground-penetrating radar, an excavator, and cadaver dogs. Police are also interviewing residents.

Police search for Rebecca's body on the property of her brother-in-law's grandparents.

Berlin police are searching Brandenburg on Monday for new evidence in the case of Rebecca Reusch, who has been missing since 2019. They made the announcement together with the public prosecutor's office.

According to the statement, there are indications "that the now 33-year-old suspect may have killed his then 15-year-old sister-in-law on the morning of February 18, 2019, and moved her body and belongings – at least temporarily – to his grandparents' property in Tauche." Tauche is a municipality in the Oder-Spree district, about eight kilometers west of Beeskow.

" According to previous information, there used to be a cemetery on the site. Today there is only a residential building with an adjoining garden plot. According to information from RTL, the property belongs to Rebecca's brother-in-law's grandmother."

Even six years after her disappearance, the mystery of Rebecca remains unsolved

"Officials had searched the property of the man's grandmother in Tauche, Brandenburg, on Monday, and on the second day an area in nearby Herzberg was searched. The public prosecutor's office did not comment on statements in the "Tagesspiegel" that police officers had not found any decisive clues. The police had been deployed with cadaver dogs and an excavator."

Various theories about the disappearance
, Rebecca was considered cheerful, but also thoughtful, and was sometimes bullied at school. However, a former investigator considers suicide to be unlikely. Another lead leads to her online world: Rebecca was a passionate fan of the South Korean boy band BTS. On the morning of her disappearance, she sent a selfie in a fan outfit, while a purple blanket and a Polaroid camera were also missing"

SBM .

Tbh, I would be surprised, that after 6 years, there would be any evidence left or turned up, at the grandparents BILs property....

I so wish they would have searched back then once they realized the direction of the drive he lied about..

This information is in two articles from the last 24hr-

(I can't stop checking in case they alert that they indeed found something of value to the investigation!)

Tauche, where his grandma is, is about 80 kilometers from Berlin using the A12 motorway-
Not far away is a wooded area along the A12 in the Kummersdorf-Storkow area, where three horseback riders observed a man in the woods wearing a baseball cap looking shifty and paranoid. A raspberry-colored Twingo was also spotted in the wooded area along the A12 that day...

This case has been so strange to me for the longest time because I feel like the family has been acting very weird. They only showed a filtered picture of her to begin with (and later explained that's just the picture the police selected, although it was never verified), they explain hair in the trunk from Rebecca playing in the trunk with her niece and a missing bathrobe belt from using it to pull the niece on a toy car. It just seems like they have an explanation for everything. But all their simplifications seem out of the ordinary. Florian who comes home drunk and watches bondage videos, additionally to an ex girlfriend saying he had used a belt on her before. Rebecca's friends who said Florian was close with Rebecca and sometimes they met in a more secluded part of a park and also did drugs. Then there is Jessica who didn't take the car in the morning, albeit she usually always does. Exactly on the morning when Florian is seen using it to make supposed drug runs? It makes no other sense to me that the family is partially guilty of something because why else would they shield Florian? No mother of 2 small children would continue to live with someone who did something so horrible. Seems to me like more people are involved and hence no one will ever say something, because they all got skeletons in the closet. They have been out of the press for a long time now, you'd think you'd always continue the fight to look for your child and be vocal about it so no one forgets.
