Start close to home and her last sighting (who and where) and work outward from there, not the other way around. IMO they had evidence early on so no reason to consider an intruder.

While I’m very glad he was looked at more closely and arrested, im wondering what/when they decided he was in fact the perp? Did they talk to his work? So many questions. It was so sad to see the sister seemingly defend him a bit out of her own need for denial. I feel terribly for the family, but the worst for her after all of this.

Answering my own question because I just remembered, of course (!) apparently he came home at 5.45 am from an office party. So he must be working in an office, although I don't have the impression he is a high earner. jmo

And although parties in Germany can and do go on till late in the night, 5.45 seems a bit excessive, especially on a Sunday night into Monday morning. Did he have the day off?
