Haha, I relate to the years! And yet, the mom seemed to expect a call if Rebecca did not make it to school.

This is from the same link from @worldwatcher

"Her mother says that she did send an app to Rebecca asking her to get ready for school. Rebecca replied that she would get ready later.

Her mother also states that normally the school would call when they notice when someone isn't present. She didn't heard anything so she assument that her daughter was at school."
I dont know, but to me it seems that one of the reason, that the school didn't call, because of the flu epidemic that was going around att (here in NL,it was..anyway,we had a lot of teachers, students, who were sick, dealing with understaffed employees and substitutes)
So the 18th at 8:42 from mum : hope you made it to school on time . What time did school start ? I thought school was 9:50 so why send asking that over an hour early ?
From what I understood is that RRs mom, wasnt aware that RRs that school started later and was told later by Jessica on the phone.

IMO,I do think that the check marks/ticks were 2 (and blue) because of the second simcard that LE used to get into RR's WA account and that is why,it gets confusing if it was recieved/read...

Oh of course! That could be it! Thank you ww and sorry for the confusion.

So when the last message was read does that not automatically mean the previous message also gets read and the ticks change colour ?

It does for me. As soon as I open the conversation thread all message tick marks will turn blue.

Yes that is odd. Maybe mom didn't know school started later that day?

Thank you! Sometimes I am, sometimes not

Well it certainly had my heartbeat going. :) :) And now, what about the lake? They must have something (a tip?) that they are thoroughly searching that area, right?

ETA: We are all in that same boat (Sometimes I am, sometimes not ) IMO :)

‘Her mother says that she did send an app to Rebecca asking her to get ready for school. Rebecca replied that she would get ready later.’

I’ve quoted someone above not sure where that is in MSM ? Surely that’s critical timings in those two messages ?

We haven’t seen those message times have we ? Surely she’d say it’s not till 9:50 today and there would have been no need for mum message again at 8:42 .

18 Feb 8:42 Mom: Hello Sweetie, I hope you made it to school on time. I couldn’t reach you. [kiss emoji]
19 Feb 05:10 Mom: Becci, where are you?

No, we have not seen those message times. And this implies, IMHO, that another attempt was made after that first message, and before the 8:42 message. It could all be easily explained if there are any translation issues, I suppose.

Reading into that message at 8:42 seems to be addressing an inability to reach Rebecca before sending this message...if I make any sense of that wording: "I couldn’t reach you. [kiss emoji]"

Guess thats mine post but it is not correct,sorry...instead of Rebecca I do think from collecting my memory,it must have been Jessica who said that to her mom..
'Her mother says that she did send an app to Rebecca asking her to get ready for school. Jessica replied (when her mom called on the phone) that Rebecca would get ready later.’
It must have been from the video that I watched at that time after midnight...

The 05:10 Becci where are you , this sounds more like something you’d send when you were late for tea not missing all night .... I’d be sending some kind of frantic message to my daughter then ( or is this time recorded as such as that’s when the police make something happen on her messages ? )

Actually ”Wo bist Du nur?“ sounds a bit more desperate than just typing ”Wo bist Du?“. I don’t think there’s a translation for the word ”nur“ added (@Elainera ?) but it sounds more like ”Good heavens, where are you?“.

First MSM that I just saw in The Netherlands;
"Police Berlin looks for Rebecca with an edited Instagram photo (15): 'Got no other'
The German police are searching with all their might for the missing Rebecca Reusch. The 15-year old girl from Berlin has been missing since February 18, but is still not found. The police call people to look forward to Reusch, but doing so strikingly enough with an edited Instagram photo.

In that photo the girl has thicker lips than in real life, and a remarkably cool skin. That leads in German media to the question to what extent the missing Rebecca looks like the photo she is being looked for. The police have a simple explanation for the fact that this conscious photo is looking for Rebecca Reusch: they did not get another from the family. ,, In this photo she can also be recognized. We depend on the pictures we get from a family, "says a spokesperson against Welt. "But of course it does not make sense to make photos that do not look like."

Her family tells news channel N-TV that there are hardly any unedited photos of Rebecca. "Only the photo of her creed last year", says her father. On the original missing poster that is distributed by the family, you can indeed see a photo in the upper left that does not look like photoshopped.

Meanwhile, her brother-in-law has been arrested in the missive of Rebecca Reusch. With him she was together in her sister's and brother-in-law's house on Monday morning, February 18th, the Berlin police say. It assumes that the girl was killed, but has still not found her body. In the last days a forest in Storkow, southeast of Berlin, is combed out. Rebecca's brother-in-law's car would be spotted by cameras near the forest.

I have been turning all the best/worst case scenarios over in my head....
The only way that I could see this not being a murder is if the BIL was helping her run away from home. If he was either romantically involved or protecting her from a dangerous situation. But this line of thought does involve a bit of a stretch of the imagination.

Yes I was just gonna say the same thing. "Good heavens, where are you?" is the sentiment her mother conveyed. Definitely worried.

I am more than happy to supply the super-industrial strength rubber band, if this allows RR to still be alive 'out there'.

Search for Rebecca also on the third day without success
Excitement just before end ++ cadaver dogs hit at Channel

Berlin - And even on Saturday, a Hundred was looking for clues. For the first time during the three-day search in a wooded area near Wolzig (Dahme-Spreewald), hope arose to finally clarify Rebecca's fate.

Shortly before dusk at 5 pm, the detection dogs alerted at the Storkower canal near Friedersdorfer Hauptstraße.

The animals had perceived a suspicious smell. However, shortly thereafter followed the termination of the search operation. Apparently the dogs had only smelled a dead animal.

The search will not be continued on Sunday.

Rebecca aus Berlin: Suche der Polizei auch am dritten Tag ohne Erfolg

I thought cadaver dogs are especially trained to alert only to human decomp scent? o_O
