22.00 clock: Although the missing Rebecca's family from the beginning looking for the way to the public, were friends of the missing so far. Now Justin G. spoke in an interview with Focus Online . The 18-year-old visited together with Rebecca the school, since 2017 and a dispute at that time, the two apparently no longer had any contact. Nevertheless, Justin is involved in searches, with private search parties, the Berliner could already organize over 70 volunteers.

Also on Sunday, Justin wants to pursue a clue with others, together the group in Henningsdorf 30 kilometers away looking for traces of the girl. According to the note, there would be conspicuous people hang around, but what this could have to do with the 15-year-old, explains Justin G. not. In the interview, however, the 18-year-old assures that the police are informed about the search campaign: "It goes without saying that I help."

Even Justin G. can not imagine that Rebecca has voluntarily left. He goes, as well as family Reusch, from a crime. The 18-year-old is also convinced of the innocence of the brother-in-law. Although Justin organizes the searches in consultation with the sister of the missing, Rebecca's former classmate gets outrageous news: "One has written to me, but we should take a shovel and someone who can carry a corpse. I'm not feeling well, I'm very busy. But it will not be the last search. "
More from Merkur article ^^ I do hope that a search dog will go with them

Fall Rebecca: Anwältin kritisiert „Aufruf zur Jagd“ auf Schwager - WELT

The lawyer's attorney in the Rebecca case blames investigative and media officials. In an interview with the rbb, lawyer Petra Klein said that dealing with the 27-year-old had led to speculation and was "practically called to hunt for my client." Since the beginning of the investigation against Rebecca's brother-in-law, many details and also a photo of the suspect have been published. The brother-in-law of the 15-year-old Berliner, who has been missing since February 18, was released from custody on Friday. The reason for this are doubts of an investigating judge on the urgent suspicion of manslaughter, the prosecution said. The 27-year-old man was released from pre-trial detention but remains under suspicion.

To my knowledge this was not about the what's app message from Febr. 18 that her mother sended, but about Febr. 19,that LE got the second simcard and in order to that the WA was received and read
Der Fall Rebecca: Chronologie eines spurlosen Verschwindens

You are right! I confused it with the other message sent the next day ("Becci wo steckst du nur?")

So the phone was still on at 8.42. Presumably (?) logged in at the Wlan in the house.

This would back up my theory (one of several) that something happened to her after 9am, if her body had been in the car this late, no traces of cadaverine would have been picked up by cadaver dogs when the BIL went on his long drive somewhere after 10am, it can take up to two hours to emit the chemical if there are no wounds..

No one has actually said everything was fine at dinner last night, nothing unusual in her behaviour.
Nothing about the night before unless I have missed that.

There was an interview with the mom and Jessica about a week into the disappearance. Jessica said on Sunday evening she and Rebecca had pizza with cheese crust, played games and listened to music. A typical girls night, she called it.

This reminds me of a question I wanted to ask. Do you think when a body is wrapped in plastic and taped up completely a cadaver dog can still smell it?

The wrapped body itself? 2-3 hours after death I think absolutely. If it were wrapped and sealed like that, put in a car, and transported, then I don’t think the dog would hit on the car (obviously it depends on time, temperature tape job etc) IMOO

"The family apparently still is behind the brother-in-law. After a conversation with investigators, however, they do not want to speak publicly for the time being. "We can not say anything," said Father Bernd Reusch Saturday to BILD."

Something I don't understand is, police say Rebecca did not leave the house alive, she was killed there. They keep repeating this and they don't search for a live Rebecca, they look for her body. There were only two people in the house with her, and one of them (J) has an alibi because she was at work. So there's only one person who could have killed her (F), if police is correct in saying she was killed at the house. So why did he get out of custody? Was the judge not convinced that she died? It makes no sense otherwise.

I haven't seen in any of the translations of articles that the home was treated as a active crime scene and cordoned off. How can that be? I did read things were carried out of the house by family members though.

Google Maps
This is the area mentioned by the friend that would be searched today. Again, it is around water, is that significant for some reason?

Search for Rebecca in Hennigsdorf finished

Through Instagram, Rebecca's sister had been told to search in Hennigsdorf. Justin Goetze (18), a friend of the missing, searched on Sunday with another friend of the family in a Hennigsdorfer forest. But he found no evidence of Rebecca's whereabouts.

On Instagram, the sister of Rebecca had received a hint from a lady to look in Hennigsdorf. Here should be people in huts in a forest who, according to statements of local residents, do not belong in this area. "We want to see if maybe one of the huts has been broken into. It may be that we find a trace to Rebecca , "said Justin Götze. The Oberhaveler police had not participated in the search, but they want to keep an eye on it.

Details about the search here:

The house was forensically searched when FR was arrested for the first time. End of February I think.

Thank you for knowing that. So, it was from that search that they came to the conclusion that she had not left the house alive? That and the fibers etc. in the trunk of the car?

The school system is probably very different from the Netherlands, at least what I heard from my nephew when he went to live in Germany.
Primary and secondary education take place at the same school, correct?

If we assume that she has (/or was) staged her disappearance for whatever reason, she was also aware of this rule and could gain time to erase her tracks by, for example, purchasing a 2nd mobile..?

"At 9:50 am, Rebecca must be at the Walter Gropius School on this day. The tenth grader is not there. At the school there is a rule: If a child does not appear by 9 o'clock, the parents are informed. This does not happen in Rebecca's case. Because she has lessons only later."

But imo,she needed help, with no money,no clothes etc etc from someone who knows a lot about devices and how to stay under the radar.
Whats App isnt an app that hackers use,the backup itself is not encrypted.
They use Signal,so if this Max(i) excist and had something to do with her disappearance,I doubt that he is a harmless young boy,but an older perp who lured her into danger.

This is just a scenario,I leave on perpuse BIL out, because LE already got an eye on him and he was released.

I'm sorry but I don't remember if they searched the house first or announced their belief that she died in the house before the search. I think the latter because they arrested him for manslaughter and at the same time started searching the house and car. AFAIK they believe she is dead because her phone is off and she has made no contact  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

as i remember, the police think she is dead and did not leave the house alive, because she didn't read the messages from her mother and didn't pick up the phone when she called. At the same time her phone was still logged in at the wifi. And at the same time BIL told the police that he was sleeping, but he was texting someone on WhatsApp. The search in the house didn't show evidence of a crime afaik, only the circumstances led the police to believe, that she ist dead and that BIL did it.
