They may be trying to block cameras after this photo being taken

Probably not but who knows

Yes, when the police see photos of their handwritten notes in the media, it is no surprise that they try to keep the reporters back.

It is not as if the investigator was being careless with his notes. He had them in his hand. Likely didn't expect a DM photographer to zoom in on his notes and publish them.

Interesting to me how the avalanche is parked to the right. On the grass even…. Maybe he planned on moving something big… but why wouldn’t he back in ? Kinda wonder sometimes if this isn’t a multiple perp sitch.

The Daily Mail is exactly the kind of rag that would publish that stuff, but IMO he was a little careless not to make sure the notes were covered. The press are camping out there and cameras have excellent resolution these days.

I'm rewatching a 2013 interview with Richard Dormer, it's in seven parts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). He says some really interesting things that are very relevant after Heuermann's arrest.
The series actually has a lot of info that was spot on with things. RIP James Dormer, I always felt he had a deeper understanding of this case

We know he drove the green Chevy Avalanche during the commission of at least one murder, but I wonder if they looked into the whereabouts of previous vehicles he may have owned, such as this green Ford Expedition seen on Google Maps street view of his house in 2007.

I’m sure it’s been said before but does anyone think he lurked here or even had a profile on here?
There's no way he wasn't aware of The Killing Season, and not only does it mention Websleuths and have a bunch of people from it on the show, but at the end of every episode, it encourages viewers to join WS to help solve the case. He knew about this place, even if he never posted. With his obsessive interest in the case, how could he not?

He's a large man with a big car with a vintage vehicle next to it. Might want a large birth for him and the door with no way to scratch the military vehicle.

No living in the land of denial for her. Good on her. I hope she has a good life, from hereon.

Thank you for posting this.

I had read earlier that his brother had a "no warrant/no entry" sign on his property. (Or on a joint property of the Heuermann brothers? The articles are a little unclear.)

Ironic now, I think.

Imo.

"Ominous words like “no warrant - no entry” and “no trespassing” signs on a gate at the entrance of the property owned partially by the suspect make it clear to everyone who sees it that they’re not welcome here."

I hope the FBI tears that place apart head to toe and overturn every blade of grass and stone.
I assume his brother CH is NOT a suspect but that RH might have used his parcel of land and property to dump/dispose of women or evidence.

My unasked-for two cents on media:

A free press is a good thing. (Clickbait and disinformation is bad, but that ship has sailed.)

If the media weren’t covering this case and trying to get as much info as possible, people would be complaining and muttering about a cover-up. We expect the media to obtain info on the things we want to know, and publish it.

Zoom lenses have existed for decades, and law enforcement should be more media aware than ever. Anyone who has been following true crime for long has seen the portable privacy tents they can erect if they need to.

Oh boy. I'm with you.
I'm not implying he was a member who posted here but... I bet it was reeeeally difficult for him to read and not reply.

He's been connected to that house his whole life, and he has carpentry skills. I wouldn't be surprised if they strip it down to the studs. Maybe not quite as comprehensively as they took apart Gacy's house - a lot of that was to give them access to the remains in the crawl space - but they're going to be looking in walls and under flooring. This guy had a deep connection to his home, and strikes me as the sort who'd hide things in the fabric of the building itself. Just knowing they were there would give him a thrill, even if he couldn't see or touch them. Since he's such a packrat, I hope he kept something from every single person who had the misfortune to come across him. Not just Melissa, Amber, Megan and Maureen, but others found on or around Gilgo, others we don't even know about who were found elsewhere or maybe never found. (For example, I strongly believe Jamie Seymour fits his preferred victim profile in every way.) I hope he kept everything, and that they're able to use it to bury him.

Since someone who lived there is also obviously a gardener, I definitely think we're going to see them digging at some point before they wind up their search of the property.

Don't get me wrong I AM NOT ENCOURAGING FOLKS TO TRY AND FIND HIM IN THE THREADS OR SLEUTH MEMBERS, no way, nuh uh. I just think it would fit what we know about his character that he would have, at the very least, browsed on here at least once.

Agreed re: RH's NY property.

I believe @x_files was referring to RH's brother's propery in SC (as well as RH's SC properties).

I’m sure he reveled in the fact that up until Thursday, forums like this were pretty much speculation and opinions, no one had a clue except for the task force and that wasn’t until March of ‘22. I agree, he may not have replied but he probably wanted to in the worst way.
