I want to thank all the local posters...Im in AZ and want to learn as much as possible. Yalls are great at giving good insight with the environment in NY

Here is a thread of posts by members over the years:

I hope saying this isn't controversial, I don't mean it to be. Knowing LE found negatives at the house in Massapequa is interesting but speculating about what the pixels are in detail is something that I could see RH doing if he were on here right now.

Well, our motivations are very different. We definitely don't get some sick pleasure from looking at those pictures, like RH would. The pictures are highly disturbing and saddening.

The daughter of the BTK killer on whether the wife and children of Rex Heuermann may have known what he was;

This is a case that haunts me. They were never able to place a date on that toy soldier . Artifacts date from I believe a 1968-1969 dime and a garment label they ID as 1988. Bag of Rat poison as well. The building is no longer there but RH had access all over the NYC metro area w his work. My mind also went immediately to this case when RH was arrested.
I used to sell vintage and antique goods on eBay, specifically jewelry I obtained at auctions. I learned so much from vintage jewelry message boards. I know there were niche message boards out there for vintage toys. I’m sure a collector or appraiser could ID it, especially with even more info on the internet today. Too bad we don’t have a pic.

If so.. ugh.. I may not be able to sleep tonight. I've tried enhancing the picture but it only turns more blurry.

I also think that the bodies found around Manorville are more likely to be Bittrolff's handywork. I feel that there are two distinct killers at work; Heuermann, who didn't chop up his victims, and Bittrolff, who did. I dread to think that there may even be a third killer around. What's in the water around there?
Since I first saw his searches and the name of Bittrolf, I've wondered:
Did they know each other?
Did they do this kind of thing together or even with others?
Was there some kind of competition or some territorial messaging?
I just can't shake the feeling that these two are acquainted. I keep thinking of those posts, by a nasty group of mainly five or six men, who called themselves something like The CCC. They posted horrible and often violent things on one of those "escort ratings" pages in one of those dark forums.

"When we told the wife, she was shocked, she was embarrassed. But there was a point where we showed her certain pictures and she said, ‘OK, it is what it is.'"

— Commissioner Rodney Harrison

What were those pics and what did she mean by that? I’m shook…

Thank you, Citizen Sleuth. Bookmarked your good work. Do we have images of the searches of his office or storage locker?

I'm not sure why they'd take the guitar. Is Rex a secret musician? The home was crammed with stuff so everything probably was moldy and dusty. The cat's crib has piles of hair in it. Did our guys knife open his recliner looking for hidden evidence? That's so cool!

The lovely "Lichtenstein: The Princely Collection" art poster would probably be valuable if it were mint cond.

When I read that this was her reaction, I started to wonder if she had, at some point, suspected him and whatever they showed her was the cemented proof that she needed to accept it.

Whether or not she had an inkling, I do feel terrible for her. What an awful nightmare to be trapped in. I think this woman has lived a tough life, most likely has been controlled and felt trapped in a subpar, at best, marriage. This was her out and she isn’t wasting time taking the opportunity.

Yes, these were the men who spoke about a girl who pulled scams on "dates" and it sounded like the men were referring to AC. One of the members suggested that one of their buddies said something to the effect that she wouldn't be a problem for much longer. I wish there was a good way to find the archived posts, here.

So they recovered an "unframed painting of a blond-haired woman with dark pupils and bruising underneath the eye" on July 17. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that this man had a distaste for women (to put it lightly)

Re: the photo film strip ... Don’t forget that “Negative” means that the dark things in the photos appear bright, and the bright things appear dark. I really think that a lot of people who think they’re seeing something aren’t taking this into account.

At this point, there's simply no way to tell what's in those negatives. People will see what they want to see.

<modsnip: his family are victims> I feel for her and I don’t believe she knew anything other than what he showed to her in his treatment of her, which only she knows. To start life over at her age, could be scary, or hopefully for her, liberating.

Not to mention that unless RH had his own darkroom--and I haven't read anything to indicate this was the case--back in the day RH would have had to take that film somewhere to be processed. I'm sure he wouldn't have taken film of his gruesome handiwork down to the Walgreen's to be developed.
