Hey I've got a question:... the belt with the "WH" or "HM" - I am guessing that it is "HM" and that could mean "H"euer"M"anm

Is that a significant clue? Was the belt actually found on one of the bodies?
This has been touched on in this (admittedly fast moving!) thread a few times.
RH's grandfather's initials were WH. It's likely his belt.

It looks like a hand-tooled leather belt that someone would make in Boy Scouts. Did anyone else notice or think it might be a handmade craft? But it looks vintage like from the 40-60's.

I did read that somewhere however it’s not confirmed as of yet
Heavy.com claims that RH once lived in North Reading, MA and I found a NJ Open Records Request made by a journalist which listed supposed addresses (current and former) of RH's, including one in North Reading.

The North Reading address is part of a mobile home park.

I am having some trouble uploading photos right now so maybe someone else can post them. Did anyone else notice a resemblance to Melissa Barthelemy and the painting they removed? Might be way off but wanted to know your thoughts? JMO

ETA pictures
I can definitely see a resemblance. And does the painting remind anyone else of the work of Biljana Djurdjevic?? She often paints black-eyed subjects, and some of her work is of kids standing in a very similar pose to those horrible 'Time Out' dolls...

Correct, food stamp eligibility is based on income. For a family of 4 in NY State, you are eligible for food stamps (SNAP) if your household has less than $41,628 in annual gross income.

i read that the state of NY distributes them to families w special need members. maybe his son? idk.

There are many wooded areas that you can see right out of the train window when taking the LIRR into NYC. Just throwing that out there. He could "visit" on every ride to and from the office. Diving down this rabbit hole right now.
I've thought about the LISK many times over the years while riding through the pine barrens on the LIRR. Especially in the areas around Speonk and Westhampton on the Montauk branch and Yapank on the Ronkonkoma branch.

If anyone is interested to see what it looks like - do a search for "LIRR Pine Barrens" on youtube.

Reading over the court documents and something about the [email protected] burner email seemed off to me. To preface, I am not trying to make any direct connections between the GB4 and any other cases, but I hope you see my thought process and maybe something to keep in mind as more information is released.

What initially caught my attention was the use of “springfieldman” after watching/reading about the AC/Eastbound Strangler case. In the AC case one of the suspects, Eldred R. Burchell, was going around town telling people he was the AC killer and was calling himself the “Riverman”. Some have suspected this was in homage to the Green River Killer, however it's important to note Burchell has never been formally connected to the Eastbound victims. That said, the moniker “Riverman” has stuck throughout the years.

So why is Springfieldman relevant? My first thought is maybe it's a location and sure there are plenty of cities/towns named Springfield in the US, but I’ve only come across one that has a strong serial killer connection.. Springfield Mass. Alfred Gaynor is a convicted serial rapist and killer who murdered 9 women in Springfield from 1995-1998. So now I’m thinking, did RH use “Springfieldman9” as homage to Gaynor for the 9 women he killed? That alone could be pure coincidence, but then I learned Gaynor makes and sells artwork from prison.

One piece of his artwork really caught my attention entitled “Murder Beach” (about 1/2 way down the article) drawn 12/9/2008. All of Gaynor’s murders happened far from the ocean and sure the most likely scenario is these are just the bad drawing of a crazy man… but this apparent connection with the burner email plus the fact that Maureen Brainard-Barnes was missing and most likely killed/dumbed at Gilgo Beach prior to this drawing and some of the artwork we’ve seen come out of RH’s house in addition to the known research RH has done on his own case raises a question in my head… Has RH ever been in contact with Gaynor, was this drawing a request or at least inspired by any potential communications RH had with Gaynor. At the minimum, I believe RH must have researched/learned from publicly available information on Gaynor to improve his own crimes.

Curious if anyone else has come across any potential connections between RH and other serial killers either through communications or moniker usage such as Springfieldman9? If I am being a complete idiot and reading too much into things please tell me lol.
Springfield is also a type of rifle action

Manhattan, New York County, New York

Unidentified white Female

NamUs #UP5703
Date of Discovery: February 10, 2003
Location of Discovery: Manhattan, New York County, New York
Estimated Date of Death: 1970 to 2003
State of Remains: Not recognizable - Near complete or complete skeleton
Cause of Death: Homicide by strangulation

Physical Description
Estimated Age: 15-21 years old. Several of her teeth and bones had not reached full maturity, suggesting she was between 17 and 19 years old.
Race: White
Gender: Female
Height: 5'1", Estimated
Weight: Unknown
Hair Color: Light-colored, possible red.
Eye Color: Unknown

Distinguishing Marks/Features: Petite build.

Dental- She had expensive dental work at one point in her life, but her teeth also had severe decay, suggesting she may have been from a family of means but may have fallen on hard times.

Clothing: Bra (size 32A) and pantyhose.

Jewelry: Yellow metal ring with the initials "P Mc. G" May be read as P G Mc. A 1966 Bulova watch.

Additional Personal Items: 1969 (some sources state 1968) dime found with the remains. An International Ladies Garment Workers tag of a type sewn into clothing in 1988 was recovered with the victim, as well as a plastic toy soldier that could not be exactly dated.

Circumstances of Discovery
The victim's skeletal remains had been wrapped in a rug and concealed under a layer of relatively fresh concrete, which itself was hidden behind an old coal-burning furnace in the basement of a rundown, mostly abandoned apartment building on West 46th Street in Hell's Kitchen on Manhattan's West Side.

Police say the building was used by prostitutes and that the basement could be reached from several points inside, as well as through a steel trap door in an adjacent parking lot.

The killer had bound her hands and feet with an extension cord and circled it around her neck, then wrapped her body in a patch of rust-colored carpet.

Possibly of Irish descent. The victim may have abused drugs, and possibly worked as a prostitute, as scraps of glittery clothing were recovered at the scene.

What about this doe, struck by the plastic soldier found at the scene, early precursor to dolls?
I was thinking green army man when I read it. Possibly means there was a child (possibly boy) in her life.

I am very open-minded about art but some of her stuff deeply disturbs me.

Tiles don’t stain all that easily, but if a tile was found/removed that matches tiles in that house - it could be a clue. Perhaps a tile was replaced and made removeable with hidden storage under it. Could provide just enough hidden space to keep rings, and small wallet size personal belongings or trophies from his victims.
The basement of the house is tiled -- I enhanced the photo to make it easier to see.

ETA: Also of note is that there appears to be a second door to the basement (under the storm doors) which is visible in the enhanced photo.

i read that the state of NY distributes them to families w special need members. maybe his son? idk.

But he exceeds the income.
Does NY give out benefits regardless of the family's income?
This is another mystery!

I know the area surrounding RH office very well. I lived in the city until 2003 and at the time area was very very seedy. Sort of a no mans land. Several methadone clinics, and street prostitution was most definitely still happening. That general area is often referred to as Little Korea. Interesting to note when thinking of RH internet search for “Asian Twink” and possible connection to murder of Asian DOE

I wonder if he purposely rented office space in this particular area of the city? I don’t know Manhattan super well, is this area easily accessible from the train station?

Does anyone know if he made the city commute via train only or did he ever drive in?

That's kinda what I envisaged as well. There may well have been a child in her life. I had a lad that was three years old the year she was found.

I hope the task force will look at some of these doe cases and pay to get them identified, maybe then some good will come out of this whole thing.

Maybe I'm weird but I am not one bit excited about this development, I just wonder how bad its gonna get

it’s pretty standard protocol to do this with a high profile case, New York Post is making that fact seem more nefarious than it really is
I have to agree. Suicide watch is almost guaranteed in the beginning of any major case like this.

Re: whether RH ever had the NYS 4x4 Permit for beach access - which, given he had a four wheel drive truck and was disposing bodies on the more visible street side of the dunes, it would seem like a practical progresssion for him to at least consider getting this permit as his killings evolved and his methods were fine tuned.

This photo of his original first generation forest green Chevy Avalanche being put on the NYS Police flatbed does show some sign of rust corrosion above both wheel wells. That rust very likely could be from driving on the beach and exposure to salt water. It’s very common here for this to happen, so much so that we often get the undercarriage of our cars sprayed to prevent this type of rust. Of course, corrosion from the salt they put down on the roads throughout LI winters to combat ice and snow could also cause this. One thing is for certain, the rust is not likely from salt for snow, or salt water anywhere near the landlocked and warmer climate Chester SC where the truck was found. If he did have that permit to drive on the beach, he would have worry-free access to miles and miles of beach brush and dunes to dispose of more bodies - without fear of a person in sight for miles and away from any ambient streetlight in pitch black cover. Food for thought.

Will be very interesting when the digital evidence is released, there's no way he's not been trolling/participating in online chats about LISK.
Agree.
Every once in a while new members appeared in the LISK sub forum here, enjoying too much to derail conversation and divert our attention. I always felt it was one single person creating sock puppet profiles, because IMO they used always same grammar, same syntaxis. They enjoyed themselves too much, again IMO.
Pretty sure LE will check all the sites RH used to post. Will be interesting to know if he posted here. I bet he did. Let’s wait and see.

Is that a significant clue? Was the belt actually found on one of the bodies? Those of you long timers.. please fill me in on when this was released by police and the details of the actual image? What did it come from?
