Springfield is also a type of rifle action
Well, an arsenal, actually, now defunct, where that action was developed, and a brand name used by a modern pistol company.

But he exceeds the income.
Does NY give out benefits regardless of the family's income?
This is another mystery!
Yes. Income doesn’t matter if you have a dependent that qualifies as disabled.

Hey I've got a question:... the belt with the "WH" or "HM" - I am guessing that it is "HM" and that could mean HeuerMann

Is that a significant clue? Was the belt actually found on one of the bodies? Those of you long timers.. please fill me in on when this was released by police and the details of the actual image? What did it come from?

gilgo-beach-killer-02.jpg
In short, January 2020 first images of belt are released in a press conference. It had been years without an update so this was huge news.

Side note: original photo of belt was uploaded to the SCPD website by accident

The file name was “Barnesnoglove”It got taken down almost immediately (but it’s been saved here somewhere by a sleuth) which to me would suggest they didn’t intend public to see that.

To me the “no glove” would suggest any DNA on the belt had been compromised

I was thinking green army man when I read it. Possibly means there was a child (possibly boy) in her life.
Big coincidence that this guy is an army nut. A civilian army nut. I don’t think he served right?

I believe every state is different. I also believe you don’t receive as much from SNAP as you would if you are income qualified

Re: whether RH ever had the NYS 4x4 Permit for beach access - which, given he had a four wheel drive truck and was disposing bodies on the more visible street side of the dunes, it would seem like a practical progresssion for him to at least consider getting this permit as his killings evolved and his methods were fine tuned.

This photo of his original first generation forest green Chevy Avalanche being put on the NYS Police flatbed does show some sign of rust corrosion above both wheel wells. That rust very likely could be from driving on the beach and exposure to salt water. It’s very common here for this to happen, so much so that we often get the undercarriage of our cars sprayed to prevent this type of rust. Of course, corrosion from the salt they put down on the roads throughout LI winters to combat ice and snow could also cause this. One thing is for certain, the rust is not likely from salt for snow, or salt water anywhere near the landlocked and warmer climate Chester SC where the truck was found. If he did have that permit to drive on the beach, he would have worry-free access to miles and miles of beach brush and dunes to dispose of more bodies - without fear of a person in sight for miles and away from any ambient streetlight in pitch black cover. Food for thought.
Totally agree.
Additionally, until recently, there has been almost zero LE or park ranger presence on the drive on beaches.

If he ever had the NYS 4x4 Permit it completely negates my reasons for thinking there was a boat involved. I was thinking that these 4 bodies in his 40s meant earlier victims that had been better hidden. I would think a boat could do that by getting him into more remote areas. But that NYS 4x4 Permit would accomplish that as well.

Yes indeed. Totally! They make a lot of 1911s right? Without the wonky firing pin … the gun nut that this guy is just doesn’t seem related to his violence to me. It’s more about having a collection. A way to go to remote locals, in fact I bet he never used a gun. 6’5” …. A belt… rope…. It does relate to his collector mo imho.

Good for her. And, poor woman. Divorce is hard enough under normal circumstances. And her circumstances are definitely not normal.
I hope she’s able to find some peace in her life. What hell that house must have been

In my opinion it seems like it. The "springfieldman" screen name IMO is related to the Springfield 1903 rifle which many collectors love. It was the US armies standard issue rifle from 1903 to 1936. I always saw pictures of what looked like a Mosin Nagant rifle which was the main rifle of the Russian empire then later soviet union during ww1 and ww2. In another photo I saw its replacement rifle the SKS rifle which was quickly replaced by the AK47 in 1948. None of these rifles are produced new, they ceased production decades ago, and are known as Mil-Surp (military surplus) in the gun world. If you walked into a gun store and asked for a good hunting rifle they are not going to hand you any of these. you would have to recognize them on the wall or ask for them specifically. It could all be a coincidence since it looks like he horded 200 other guns. But My opinion is that he is into, or at least aware of military history.

Thank you for this article. It says he has a missing left front tooth. I find this slightly unusual since he was in the consulting business and might have to meet new clients and pitch his services. I wonder if one of his victims kicked him in the teeth.
Most likely, he had an implant or at least a bridge.

I wonder if he purposely rented office space in this particular area of the city? I don’t know Manhattan super well, is this area easily accessible from the train station?

Does anyone know if he made the city commute via train only or did he ever drive in?
His office is close to Penn Station, where he would catch the train to Long Island.

Agree.
Every once in a while new members appeared in the LISK sub forum here, enjoying too much to derail conversation and divert our attention. I always felt it was one single person creating sock puppet profiles, because IMO they used always same grammar, same syntaxis. They enjoyed themselves too much, again IMO.
Pretty sure LE will check all the sites RH used to post. Will be interesting to know if he posted here. I bet he did. Let’s wait and see.
If there's ANY possibility that he posted here, the moderators should contact law enforcement. They might be able to get information from our end, too.

Depending on the degree of disability, some areas also pay benefits to caregivers, if the dependent's disability is severe enough that the caregiver cannot hold outside employment themselves.
