And...
RM is doing this while AE is not a suspect, not arrested, not a person of interest.
Hmmm...
15 minutes of fame??
Nah. I don't think it's fame.

I think it's money.

His disservice to AE must be worth a lot of money to somebody.

I just wish I knew who.

Hey everyone,

@Jimmytoast has now been verified as a friend of Megan Waterman's sister.

As a VI, Jimmytoast is not required to provide links to what they state as fact about the case. Please treat them with respect at all times, and if you disagree with something they have to contribute, do not challenge them or argue with them. If you ask a question they may not be able to answer or do not wish to answer, do not badger them for information.

Thank you to Jimmytoast and all others who are here to discuss these cases and wait for justice for all these victims.
Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your efforts and discussions on this case. I know how much it means to Megan’s sister & Jessica’s cousin that people still care after all these years.

Before being verified, my previous posts got deleted so I just wanted to come back & repost what I had mentioned earlier regarding John Ray.

I understand that many people appreciate his perseverance, ability to keep pressure on law enforcement & his efforts to keep this case relevant to police. However, recently speaking to him, I have learned that he has made false statements to the NY post on behalf of the family members he currently and formerly represent/represented when we launched the heavy metal project.

That being said, amongst other details shared with me by his clients, I don’t think he is a great source of information and I truly don’t feel he has the victims’ & their families’ best interests in mind. I spoke with him the other day regarding this matter and he lied to my face about doing so, which has not made me feel he is a credible source of victim representation.

Again, I understand many people like him, but this is my opinion as someone who has a personal experience with him & has heard from victims family members that I worked with say/feel the same.

Thank you

Geez, my insurance was only for me and after my long term disability benefits ran out, I got COBRA for 18 months. To this day, I’m not sure who paid my premiums. Not me. Now I have to pay for a medicare advantage plan with prescriptions but it’s only about $250 and that includes great dental.
I know. I did COBRA for 6 months in the spring of 2017 and it wasn't bad.

yes, but it is like $1500 a month for her and a kid
If she is Eli LE for Medicaid or even a little over income, for Medicaid, Medicaid will pay
The premiums.

If eligible for MA, MA will pay the premiums and wrap around it. Ex: MA has no co pay for a visit and her insurance has a 20 co pay, she'd pay zero.

If over income, but poor enough for cobra only (totally forgot the standard. Might be 150% poverty line) she only pays the additional costs like copays but not premiums.

The thing is, they will look at her assets as well as income. With the recent substantial amount of gift money, she may no longer be eligible for insurance through a social services agency. She might be eligible for Social Security disability, though.

Agree x 1,000
I feel LE and her Attorney are the only people who really have the facts. I feel for the all of the victim’s and their families. I was surprised her Attorney did his Press Conference because it brought more media to the family which I feel most would want to avoid.

What does that mean
It means "Deleted by Me."

Here's a link to Websleuths Lingo (although that one appears to be missing).

P.S. Welcome to Websleuths!

I couldn't agree with you more! I like how JR praised the current investigators in this case by saying he has complete trust in their abilities. JR seems to have a lot of inside information from his many years of investigating the LISK that we are not privy to. In my opinion, he is relevant. The contrast is striking. JR is talking about the case. RM is talking about $$$ and more $$$$$$$. Gimme. Gimme. Gimme. And yet he is the first to point his finger at JR's intention for speaking out. Some can see through the facade. MOO
John Ray has represented and assisted many victims and did cases with the current Suffolk County DA when the DA was a Federal Prosecutor. He has spent over a decade working tirelessly to get Shannan’s and Jessica’s cases investigated. I respect him and find him believable.

Deleted by me. There's no way to delete a post, so if someone changes their mind about something they posted or they double post by accident, most people will edit the post and replace it with dbm or something similar. Edit window is an hour, so anything older than that is there for good, unless it's removed by a moderator. Welcome to Websleuths! Below is a post with more handy abbreviations, some more commonly used than others. Each thread also tends to develop its own abbreviations, especially for key players in the case (victims, suspects, family, witnesses, law enforcement, lawyers, etc.)

Her retelling of events does seem to include more and more details as time goes on. Curious that she now says that RH mentioned a hammer. I suspect the next time we hear from her she will say that he mentioned a " cabinet maker's hammer ".

All JMO
I'd love to see RH’s woodworking projects. The woodworking is probably on par with his home repairs.

Everyone asks questions to begin with. I haven't even been here a year. You'll pick it up quickly, and hopefully won't blend in TOO much. We all bring something to the table by virtue of being ourselves.

Yes, but her son would qualify for Medicaid if he doesn't already have it. Her daughter was employed and probably had it through her employer (her father’s firm). The daughter should be responsible for her own medical insurance.

I don’t know if ai believe all of what she claims. Jmo
I'm not sure either. She seems to be adding information everytime she speaks. If I wasn't looking directly at her speaking I would think I'm listening to Anna Nicole Smith. JMHO

As a wife, who has no income of her own and, after many years of being a housewife, is now too old (too sick?) for a job, doesn't AE have to receive maintenance from her husband, including health care costs?
He is no longer employed so he doesn't have the money to alimony. If/when the house is sold I'm not sure she can get any of that money because his name is on the deed. Minus all the debts he has, he's going to be in the poor house himself. AE should think about applying for social security disability. She will be eligible for her husbands social amount due to the length of her marriage, if she is approved. She will need help with her application. JMO
