What do vegans get to eat!?!?!
The food basics served in prisons are said to be unhealthy and disgusting so I can only imagine what institutional vegan dairy/meats etc would be made from if it even exists in institutional foods

Jainism could do the vegan trick.YUCK!
imo

Looks like NYS prisons serve margarine and the canteens don't sell perishable foods.
Anyone know if the letter said to be from RH to "Happy Face" was ever verified?
Of all the people RH could write to choosing convicted serial killer HF when you yourself are charged with also being a serial killer leaves one gobsmacked ..one can only imagine Michael Brown's reaction to the letter..if true.
imo

Food packages from vendors that inmates can receive 2x a month.
No margarine or butter allowed.

Writing to another notorious serial killer immediately upon arrest sure screams "innocent" too.. /s

Bathroom door has me thinking as I start wading back into the nuts and bolts of his murders, what happened to all the discussions about him potentially using his building sites in connection with concealing remains? If he were doing so, why were remains left at Gilgo at all? If he wasn't doing so... why not? It would seem like it could have been a convenient possibility for him. Was he one of these true "collector" type SKs that wanted to revisit the victims at his whim? Did he fear being detected as he was doing it, surveillance at the sites, too many eyes at the sites, too many protocals? Did he have "associates" that were too integral to the crimes where... he didn't want to risk one of them turning on him at some point, and divulging whereabouts of remains?

If he were a solo actor and did actually decide to use work sites to hide remains, would anyone ever have known? Possibly, but I think (?) it would have been less likely. (??) And he had so much control over those sites. When I think about that aspect, it's very strange to me with him being an established architect, but jmo.
He still could have hidden others there. We don’t know.

Wow!
Ashleigh Banfield 2 yrs ago Laura Ingles/New Nation phone call with Happy Face.
I didn't know this is even a possibility when a convicted murderer is negotiating a guilty plea.

@ 2:27 Happy Face said RH should try and get out of the NY prisons.

"Keith Jesperson, the serial killer known as the “Happy Face Killer,” is speaking from behind bars, telling NewsNation correspondent Laura Ingle about letters he has exchanged with Rex Heuermann, the man accused in the Gilgo Beach killings. In a recorded conversation, Jesperson told Ingle that Heuermann should confess if he did in fact commit the crimes. Ingle joins “Banfield” to discuss her phone call with Jesperson.'

well we can guess or maybe its written about ...

middle age?
finally went too far and got spooked.
feels addicted out of control
afraid luck will run out
almost got caught
feels some semblance of guilt or something bordering on it
ED , depression, loss of interest in sexual pursuit

would be interesting to know if the ones that stopped killing for long periods were killers with families, growing children etc.

Rex saw countless sex workers, I would be so interested in their stories about him. I don't think Rex ever thought he was caught...so why would he stop? he would just have to switch things up. what it seems might be harder is for him to do everything he wants to do and enjoys without his beloved basement murder house that was so comfortable and private.

we also know he likes to hunt , maybe he has some trail killings or kills out in the woods.

so you kind of have to think in terms of what he will do if he doesn't have hours on end to torture and kill, or what the places are that could work..Rex had other homes or property. South Carolina is one..Did he have a trailer somewhere?

would love to see all his calendars to see where he was going , what all he had on his daily schedules, things like that.

I still think he murdered Shannan...and I hope he confesses to all his murders.

mOO
Your mentioning his basement and I may have missed it but did Tierney ever say that they do have forensic evidence that RH did bring a victim(s) to his house and proceeded to torture, dismember and/or murder them?
Tierney did say that the public has only a small percentage of the evidence they have gathered.

If RH does plead guilty does that mean all the evidence they have will be sealed?
imo

Does this depend on the state laws in terms of the requirements for allocution, evidentiary disposition etc?

Did Tierney ever say that they verified that the initial belt had belonged to the Heuerman family?
I have a vague memory that it was verified, then again it could have been a rumor.

This isn't about allocation it's if he pleads guilty and all the evidence the state has will be sealed and we will only know what the state has released which Tierney said is a small percentage.

Hey everyone.
Heuermann's daughter's art is not up for discussion. She is not the killer. She must have gone through (and is still going through, I'm sure) hell since the story of her father broke.
Let's keep the discussion to her sick, twisted, evil dad. Hopefully, he truly does plead guilty

I understand - Does it depend on the state as to what/if the evidence is sealed? With Bryan Kohberger I think I recall the state having to request/show some sort of need to keep elements sealed.

Yeah!
Mike & Josh.

"The Long Island Serial Killer case may be heading for one of its biggest turning points yet. Multiple outlets are now reporting that Rex Heuermann, the New York architect charged in seven murders tied to the Gilgo Beach investigation, is expected to plead guilty in April of 2026.

That plea has not yet been entered in court, and a judge would still have to accept it, but family members have reportedly been notified, and the guilty plea would make his September trial unnecessary. In this episode, we’ll sit down with veteran filmmaker Josh Zeman, the award-winning creator of The Killing Season, to talk about what this means.

We’ll revisit the case, something we explored years earlier and examine the evidence prosecutors say tied Heuermann to the murders. Will this plea end in truth or just be an easy way out for Heuermann, sparing his family (and frankly the victim’s families) of hearing the truth about this serial killer case?'

Josh & Mike talking about reasons RH may not want the evidence presented in court, spare family and also prevent it from following him to prison.
They made it sound like the victims were tortured in RH's hell hole excuse for a home.

Has that been verified by Tierney?
imo
