Officers are appealing for information to trace a 39-year-old woman who is missing from Carnoustie.

Gillian Sturrock was last known to be in the Ravensby Road area of the town around 5am on Thursday, 20 October, 2022.

It is unusual for Gillian to have left without letting anyone know where she is going or not to have been in touch with her family who are growing increasingly concerned.

She may be travelling in her black Citroen C1 car, registration SP12 UNZ.

She is described as white, approximately 5ft 7in tall, medium/heavy build with blonde shoulder length hair.

She was possibly wearing a black fleece jacket.

Inspector Martin Jenkins said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Gillian or her vehicle or knows of her whereabouts to contact Police Scotland.

“It is really out of character for Gillian not to have been in contact with her family.

“We urge anyone with any information get in touch with us, and Gillian if you see this, please let us know you are okay.”

Anyone with any information should contact police via 101 or contact any Police officer, quoting incident number 1389 of Thursday, 20 October, 2022.

Police have described the disappearance of a Scots woman as ‘unusual’ after she vanished in the early hours of the morning. Gillian Sturrock, 39, was last known to be on Ravensby Road in Carnoustie at around 5am on Thursday October 20.

Investigators say it is not like Gillian to have left without telling anyone where she was going and to have not been in touch with her family, who are growing increasingly concerned. She may be travelling in her black Citroen C1 car, registration SP12 UNZ, and may be wearing a black fleece jacket.

Officers are renewing an appeal to trace Gillian Sturrock who remains missing from Carnoustie.

The 39-year-old was last known to be in the Ravensby Road area of the town around 5am on Thursday, 20 October and may have been in the Kellas and Wellbank area of Angus later the same day.

Police have released an image her black Citroen C1 car, registration SP12 UNZ, which she may be travelling in.

It is out of character for Gillian to be out of contact with her family for this length of time and they are growing increasingly concerned.

She is described as white, approximately 5ft 7in tall, medium/heavy build with blonde shoulder length hair.

She was possibly wearing a black fleece jacket.

Inspector Mahboob Ahmad of Carnoustie Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Gillian as time passes and I would ask anyone who may have information to get in touch urgently.

“We have released an image of her black Citroen C1 car and I would ask anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicle at any time since Thursday morning to let us know.

“Anyone with any information should contact police via 101 or contact any Police officer, quoting reference 1389 of 20 October, 2022.”
