If someone could make notes on the people from People magazine that have been identified it would sure save us a lot of wasted time.
Do we have an updated 2026 list of all of the women who still haven't been identified?
I agree that it would save a lot of investigative time and effort.
What's interesting about the redhead sitting in front of the green wall; who is said to be alive and well, is that it proves that Alcala didn't kill all of the women who appear to have been coerced.
The redhead is a prime example of someone who appears to have been coerced, as the photo of her topless and wearing the white necklace was clearly taken after the photo of her fully clothed.
Alcala took pleasure in 'playing God,' and the women he chose to kill felt impulsive and opportunistic to him.
On that basis it's almost impossible to determine which individuals were murdered, and which were disregarded as potential victims.
It's interesting that some of the women appear to only have been photographed once, whilst others have multiple shots taken over a period of time.
There is a very high probability of course that the vast majority of photos that law enforcement chose to retain, also contain photos of some of his recently deceased victims.
In other words, some of the women who remain "unidentified" from the series of 110 photos, are most likely known to be deceased because of explicit photos already in the possession of the authorities.
It therefore becomes a matter of "identification" and not whether the women are either alive or dead.
It is virtually a certainty that photos of deceased victims were found in the storage facility.
The primary focus should therefore be to "identify" the people in those released photos.
There are going to be various clues left by the killer, including IMO the fact that there are individuals who are looking directly at the camera, while others are looking elsewhere.
It's important to remember that as clever as Alcala thought he was, he would have certainly made mistakes.
And those mistakes are likely to be right there in some of those photos.
