Right now I have come across two varieties of tea bags that do have flavour after steeping for five minutes.

Both Twinings. One is Ceylon Morning Tea, the other is Australian Afternoon Tea.

Also my daughter sent me a box of T2 tea bags with six different teas for my birthday.
They are very strong flavoured, some are more fruity than I like but I see they do have some ceylon teas in stores.

The only thing that might turn me off buying them is the price compared to other popular ones.

They go up to a dollar a cup.

I drink more coffee than tea but like to have an evening cup of tea most nights.
I don't know that I want to spend $7 a week on tea.

I usually get the Twinings one when they're on half price special.

Just made my nightly cuppa tea and nearly jumped out of my skin at the sound of a possum galloping along the kitchen roof.

It's more audible in the parts that were extended years ago.

I had a problem tree removed a few weeks ago and it was the only tree that touches the roof so I thought that would stop them getting up there. But the reason I needed the tree gone was because it was kind of collapsing and could have hurt anyone if it did.
The bonus to my mind was no more possums on the roof. How wrong I was :)

My next gadget might be a trail camera so I can see how they go about getting up there.

I love gadgets :)

10pm here and sweltering

🔹 1865 – Slavery officially abolished in the United States
On this day, the 13th Amendment was formally proclaimed, ending slavery in the U.S. It was a long, brutal fight that didn’t magically fix everything—but this moment marked a monumental and hard-won turning point in American history.

🔹 1958 – The first voice from space
NASA launched Project SCORE, the first communications satellite. And what did it broadcast?
🎄 A Christmas message from President Eisenhower.
Yes—space said “Merry Christmas” before it was cool.

🔹 More modern vibes:
December 18 has also been a popular release date for big movies, albums, and pop-culture moments—because nothing says “holiday season” like dropping something dramatic right before everyone disappears into cookie comas.

The first ever song that was performed in space was a Ukrainian song “Watching the sky...”(“Дивлюсь я на небо”) sung on 12 August 1962 by Pavel Popovich, cosmonaut from Ukraine at a special request of Serhiy Korolyov, Soviet rocket engineer and spacecraft designer from Ukraine. According to the Smithsonian Institution, the first musical instruments played in outer space were an 8-note Hohner "Little Lady" harmonica and a handful of small bells carried by American astronauts Wally Schirra and Thomas P. Stafford aboard Gemini 6A. Upon achieving a space rendezvous in Earth orbit with their sister ship Gemini 7 in December 1965, Schirra and Stafford played a rendition of "Jingle Bells" over the radio after jokingly claiming to have seen an unidentified flying object piloted by Santa Claus. The instruments had been smuggled on-board without NASA's knowledge, leading Mission Control director Elliot See to exclaim "You're too much" to Schirra after the song. The harmonica was donated to the Smithsonian by Schirra in 1967, with his note that it "...plays quite well".

To get into fast approaching festive 🎄 season mood 😃

Polish Highlander children sing for you :)

"Among silence of the night, the voice spreads out.
Get up, shepherds, God has been born to us.
You will go
to Bethlehem quickly,

to greet the Lord..."

🌟🎄✨

Have a Good Day everyone! 😃
