Yes! I’m not a Taurus, but I’m pretty stubborn! And I’m old. That makes it even worse!!😉

Is your kettle electric Tootsie? My cousin just bought one that’s electric and ceramic. She loves it.
Gator, yes it is electric.

I do have a little retro ceramic kettle that I used to use in our backyard caravan which I would retreat to when my son's heavy metal band was practising :)

I actually do prefer stainless steel inside. And prefer ones that can't chip like glass or ceramic

The little retro one I have is like this. Mine has more of a line pattern on it.

Interrupting this lively breakfast thread with an ill-placed message --

Where X-rays and TMI Merge

I was probably 30, in for an x-ray of my hip. Mind you, I'm a seasoned patient, smart. I dress for the occasion, purposefully avoiding metal. No zippers, no buckles. In the hope that I won't have to 'gown up' and can stay in my street clothes.

They prep me, I assure them I have come prepared, no hard metals at'all, even left my earrings, necklaces, rings, all of it at home.

Xrays commence.

Imagine my horror when my xrays lit up like a Christmas tree. Erm, a birthday cake. Turns out, those cute little bedazzled gemstones on my adorable panties weren't plastic.

...

It wasn't even my birthday.

Carry on.

Forget retro, how about an original?

It's my late grandmother's. She used it as a vase for over fifty years. Though it's hard to tell from the picture, it's a very pale pink and marbled.

What!

All I had today was my usual two slices of multigrain toast and a cup of coffee, oh and half an apple sliced.
I always try to have some fruit at breakfast.

No breakfast here yet. Watching my grands. Breakfast when I return home(next door). I’ve had coffee so I’m good for now.

I really dislike the food police people who pass judgement on what you eat.

I'm not saying i'm perfect but I've never made a negative comment ever on what someone else chooses to eat or tried to convert them to something I like.

Edited to say I love our banter.

Its not people here, it's those you know or bump into who think it's ok to judge other people and to make negative comments about what you eat, what you wear, how you live your life.

Offline people

The only foods I absolutely will not eat are red beets, liver, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus.
I love liver the way my mother used to cook it.

What you call Red Beets I think is what we call beetroot, I love it on hamburgers and used to love to eat the sliced beetroot straight out of the tin.

I adore asparagus.
And love brussel sprouts.

You misunderstand me Dotta.
I don't mean here.

I meant people offline who like to tell other people how to live

Beetroots🫜 are VERY healthy
because they are low in calories
and rich in fiber,
vitamins (C, B group, folic acid)
and minerals (potassium, magnesium, iron) that support the heart.

Beetroots regulate blood pressure,
strengthen immunity,
improve digestion,
support liver detoxification,
increase energy
(thanks to nitrates, they improve oxygenation)
and may improve sports performance.

They are the natural "superfood",
full of antioxidants (betalain)
and have anti-inflammatory properties.

❤️

It used to be a “thing” in bars years ago where they would have hard-boiled eggs in a big plastic container with red beats. I did eat those! I don’t know if it’s still a thing, because I haven’t been in a bar in years!

C'mon!!!
Don't go before telling me what exactly your cute pup told you on Christmas Eve 🤩
(I sent this info earlier that animals talk during this special time)
I suppose she confirmed that beautiful armchair as her Throne, right???

Mine growled "I Love You"
but then I had already known this 😄
