I agree it’s weird. I just also think IF she was aware of what happened to her or accepted that possible outcome years ago, then this isn’t new information. It’s old. Disassociation is very much a thing. Its just weird - no sense of shame or remorse. Or just can't figure out how to delete her FB account - not easy , just deleted an old one of my husband's.
Thank you @truthfinder2019 for the very nice summary. There are some twists in this case it seems, but hopefully enough leads and morsels to help fill in some pieces.
On the red hair and blue eyes…… I need to share from my own personal experience. I have that exact combination. Yes I was a ‘carrot top’ as a young lad. Of course most of my head hair has now gone elsewhere, but I still have the blue eyes. Not quite Paul Newman blue but close. My late father’s eyes were bluer than Newmans as was his father and mother’s eyes. His mother also had red hair. So it is not that uncommon in some types. My mother’s eyes are deep brown. Unfortunately I didn’t quite pay enough attention in genetics class to say much more. What hair I have left darkened over the years. The last reference point….. when I was in high school (with hair)…. and even in more recent times….. I am said to resemble the late Tom Petty in the Damn the Torpedoes album jacket liner.
I hope the final pieces of this case can be assembled. For Amanda.MOO

Mental distance perhaps?
Pure speculation but I think hoarding speaks to mental health decline.
Just watch any episode of Hoarders. A lot of people start hoarding after a traumatic experience. The Lack of control and inability to “keep hold” of a person I think creates the urge to hoard or keep hold of EVERYTHING for fear of more loss.
The mom used to be a teacher correct? If she was a good one and a good parent then maybe the circumstances and suspicions of whomever she believes mother have done it affected her.
Drastically.

So to summarise, and apologies if I get sth wrong as trying to catch up, Amanda was born in Harris TX on 04 Mar 1989 from L.M.Owho was 21. The bio dad is unknown. The grandparents N.A.O.O and J.F.O adopted her as theirs and raised her. They married in 1965 and had only 1 bio child born in 1968, L.M.O.I.
The O family is Texas based. I suppose Amanda grew up in Texas, Kountze. It is not clear when N.A.O.O fell sick, but Amanda must have moved to CO to her bio mum because of this.
Maybe N and J moved temporarily to CO to get help.
Amanda went missing sometime in April 2005, N. died in July 2005. We do not know where, but maybe in TX not CO.
There are some traces of an Amanda Overtsreet in Kountze as far as 2007, even though the transcript records have different dob (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6YD8-CGK3, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QJT1-Z8PY).
I’ve seen often mistakes in transcripts for other people so there is a possibility that Amanda may have still been alive, and gone back to TX as her grandmother was dying.
And there is a possibility that while she may have run away in 2005 to go back to TX (to her grandparents in Kountze), she may have come back to CO after her grandmother’s death and be murdered by someone then.
What I do not get is how it is possible that any murderer would sell a house and not remember to move human remains from a freezer therein ??!!
And to finish a little curiosity on red hair and blue eyes, i find it intriguing as it is extremely rare so most probably one of the parents must have it as dominant gene. Very rare to have two parents both with recessive genes but my biology dates from very long ago

lotta interesting comments on SM, won't speculate on any of them until they're reported by MSM but - what is provable is that she was tagged in comments and then chose to untag herself before changing her name and profile pic.Its just weird - no sense of shame or remorse. Or just can't figure out how to delete her FB account - not easy , just deleted an old one of my husband's.
April. That's months before the death of Nelda in July.
I'm a little confused about the timeline, and I wonder if there are some discrepancies that law enforcement is still sorting out.
If L&BI purchased the house in 2006 and neighbors there saw Amanda prior to her disappearance, how could she have disappeared in April 2005? I wonder if the April date is what Amanda's family members are telling police and she was actually there longer, or if they're going off of when extended family last saw her while they try and determine when she actually disappeared? Or were the neighbors mistaken?
Nelda’s obituary lists two daughters (Leanne and Amanda) and seemingly there are no other children. However, there are four grandchildren, two of them I suspect are Imer’s children, and well, Amanda IRL was Leanne’s child, but who are the other two? I thought these were her husband’s kids from the first marriage, but have serious reasons to doubt.

According to Ancestry (please let me know how to upload records here), Leanne (re)married on 14 Feb 93 to a J Glacin (?sp). Could it be that the other grandchildren referred to, were from that marriage? In any case, they would be off limits as regards sleuthing.Nelda’s obituary lists two daughters (Leanne and Amanda) and seemingly there are no other children. in summaryCan anyone give me a rundown of this story please. I've got the general idea ie she disappeared in 2005, found in freezer, difficult family seemingly, adopted by grandparents.
I'm wondering how if she was in the freezer then it is not the owner of the freezer? Or not connected to it? Was she found in close proximity to where she went missing? Any ideas on how she ended up in the freezer ie was she local to that area? I would guess as ots twenty years ago that no one would know who she was socialising with around that time? Any boyfriends? How do we know it wasn't her family? Anything else you wish to add.
This seems really strange. Two decades in a freezer that was not checked the entire time just seems unrealistic but that's irrelevant.
I have red hair and blue eyes. My mother had dark brown hair and blue eyes, and my father was blond with green eyes. And a third photo of Amanda

The three grandchildren M, A and M are Leanne’s. The first 2 are definitely from the second marriage. I am not sure about M(f). I didn’t know Nelda divorced. Interesting family!I remain confused about the four grandchildren as well. I've tried to research a bit, but have to move on with the day!!
Who wrote the obit?? No way to answer that of course, but if Leann wrote it those other two names could be Bradley's by previous marriage. If her husband, James Overstreet wrote it, perhaps his by a previous???
Not that it matters that much, but all four of those people will be in the spotlight for a while. This case is gaining so many arms and legs.....
I see a divorce record for James and Nelda in 2000 on Ancestry... so not sure what that means either.
note: I cannot transfer the Ancestry data as it appears... but the dates show birth date (incorrect tho), marriage date and divorce date.
