Ok so he manages to dial a number with his nose and manages to make himself understood.

Seeing he can make himself understood, does he call out for his wife and get no response. Not sure if I missed reading that part. Or was he afraid the bad guys were still there.
He must have felt they were gone, otherwise he probably wouldn't have tried using the phone.

It was very handy that the bad guys left it within reach. Was he able to see out of his face covering or did he have to feel around for the phone.
He couldn't feel for his phone, only his nose was free. Fortunately the phone landed on the floor with the screen uppermost when he managed to bump it off the nightstand. It would have been a nightmare trying to get to it if it had landed in a small gap next to the bed, or upside down.

Actually I think the neighbor said she could not understand him. She said she thought he was having a stroke or some type of medical condition, and didn't realize what had happened until she went outside. Imo

Didn't he say it was on the charger and he somehow pulled it down? Maybe by the cord? Did he say he used his feet or his hand?

He said he managed to press the circle in the middle of the screen, I think, from the last person he called, which was his neighbor.

But that was allegedly after he called 100. Imo

Yes he did somehow get it down, and he didn't say how. He used his nose to dial police and then the neighbour.

Yeah, I'm sure it would take many tries. I'm curious about any tape around his arms/body. He stated it was wrapped around his neck and head, covering almost all but his nose. That would be easy to do but it would be much harder to wrap tape around the arms and body.

I wonder if LE have come to any conclusions from their reenactment of the scene. I'm sure they would go over every detail meticulously to get a clear picture of the sequence of events. Imo

How considerate of the robbers to leave the phone hihi

It's only been stated that tape was used around his head. His hands and feet were tied with string and then somehow he was tied in the foetal position.

Was the camera in this attic? Was the murder recorded? Can you imagine if this memory card is found?

The foetal position is actually very safe. It protecs your vitals and neck.

Ok, that's what I thought. There was a video of a "media reenactment" and it looked like they pictured him with tape around his arms.

It's similar to the "recovery position," because it helps you breathe. Imo

Recovery position is on your side.
Right, if he was in the fetal position, he was on his side. Reportedly he was wrapped up like a sausage, or a salami, depending on what source you read.

I edited my post to "similar," since we don't really know his exact position. I just meant it's easier to breathe on your side, not that he was in that exact position. Sausages aren't really curled up, so that probably wasn't a good description. Maybe they meant the string or twine was wrapped around and around.

Hi and Welcome!
I don't have the link handy, but would be very interested to know what Caroline's friend was saying in her interview. It was quite long, and I wouldn't dream of asking you to translate it verbatim, but to have the jist would be great whenever you have a chance. Thank you so much :)

@Patrick Jane already translated Carolline's bestie, Faidra Karoutou's interview.

I didn't realize the whole interview was translated, I thought it was just a small portion. Do you remember which page it's on? I can never find anything again.

Interview of Mr Katerinopoulos

Before I write in what Mr. Katerinopoulos says in the video I have to say he was the first one to set
a series of questions on the "Fos sto Tounel" tv show as a guest invited to help investigate the case and these questions are being reproduced by the press but also the public.

The journalist started the interview informing us about the record number of 8 murders in 50 days. She
specifically mentions the case in Glyka Nera because it has shocked the general public. Mr. Katerinopoulos adds on to her previous statement saying that all cases matter, every human life matters.

When Katerinopoulos was asked if there is a chance of the crime not being solved he replies that there is NO perfect crime! It may take time but justice will be served.

I am not going to write all the questions the journalist asked him but
only the most crucial ones.

1. He is impressed by the lack of data in the house, the absence of DNA and
fingerprints and refer to a post that describes the house "as if it was cleaned with bleach" to emphasize.

2. He mentions the window that did NOT break and that the hinges were not even crooked ...then asks for a representation with the pilot IF that's what actually happened and says that he did not want to bother his colleagues as he did not want to them to bother him when he was serving in the police.
3. He is impressed by the way the pilot communicates with the police with his phone.

Journalist asks him which one out of the 20 questions is the most important one to ask?
he then replies: the phone call with his nose! unless they gave him the phone ..
-Talk to the police! I'm not implying anything ... it's just a problem.

Mr Katerinopoulos continues:
Caroline and the pilot were tied using different ways and materials. Mr Katerinopoulos is impressed by the materials used by the robbers. he says - I do not think that robbers go to a house, they rob, sit there and tell you
to give them a tape to tie you ...

Another question regards the dog, did they spray him and put him to sleep? what was the cause of its death? did they choke him? then why hang him? did the robbers have any problem with the family before the robbery? maybe with the people that live in the house?

No evidence was found, not one human hair was found, no DNA was found anywhere, no imprints were found
from their gloves.

The robbery of the pilot's colleague has nothing to do with the Glyka Nera case. They were beaten, they went to the hospital because they did not reveal the location of their money.

They opened the monopoly game box carefully to get the 11,500 euro without tearing down the other boxes, without making a mess.

Pilot does not seem to have been tortured, why did the robbers spend so much time in the house? did the robbers hide under the pavillions so that the cameras would not catch them?

The journalist wonders why dont you turn on the alarm if you have so much money in your house,
and Mr Katerinopoulos replies that it is unheard of robbers taking out the memory cards from the cameras, as it is a time consuming process and it has never been done before. Usually they take them down and leave!

The interview ends about the cars they showed in the cameras from other houses, most of them have been identified have nothing to do with the crime, in his opinion the 2 black cars they were looking for in tv show "FOS sto TUNEL" have nothing to do with the case

Sorry, it was me who made a mistake in wording. Both recovery and foetal positions are on sb's side but the difference is in position of arms and legs. Foetal is quite safe - When sb kicks you it is the best position b/c you protect your stomach. Besides nobody can strangle you b/c it protecs also your neck.

It wasn't translated word for word, just the overall themes, like 1) of course they were a fairytale couple, he even flew his helicopter out to their school conference! 2) she only got to see C during summer when C returned to the island and 3) everybody was so impressed by how he doted over C all the time!

No, I have no idea. Maybe you could do a search? This is why we need a fluid chart of all the players and facts/rumors/leads/developments!
