The Greek Police certainly kept their cards close to their chest haha I got heart palpitations whenever I heard about "foreign gangs" but I forgive them:)
I know! This is more information than almost every case I've followed. Normally LE does not reveal any details in order to protect the integrity of the investigation. They haven't even arrested him yet and already we know so much. I guess they aren't worried about him being judged in the court of public opinion or tainting the jury pool.

In the US we normally wouldn't find out any details until the Arrest Affidavit is released. Imo

I don't know what to say. I didn't think he would confess.

Sorry really tired here, I meant to say I hope he doesn't try to blame Caroline for what happened.

I just hope he says something like he was pushed too far.
I wonder why he didn't even bother to ask for an attorney. Maybe he will get a lighter sentence now that he has confessed.

I cant imagine what his parents feel:( My God What a Shame:(

Maybe he's one of those rare people who've murdered and does feel remorse.

No, if that was true, he wouldn't have waited til he was forced to confess.

I wonder why he didn't even bother to ask for an attorney. Maybe he will get a lighter sentence now that he has confessed.

Rest in eternal peace, beautiful Caroline. May you watch over your precious baby girl and your parents. May Lydia grows up to become a happy, healthy, strong young lady, just like you would have wanted her to be. And may your killer never gets to see the light of day ever again. I'm so, so, so sorry we, as a society, failed to protect you.

There was always something weird about her TOD.
A police officer interviewed (linked on last thread somewhere) was evasive about where the TOD info came from. Said it was 04.30am or something but that was only 'based on the information I've been given'.

When I posted the translation, I also expressed my opinion that, based on how he was talking, this might have been a bluff from LE.

I'm feeling more sympathy for the poor girl he murdered and how her parents must be feeling.

And that poor little baby girl whose life has been turned upside down.

I cant imagine what his parents feel:( My God What a Shame

It's been challenging to do translations here because on the one hand I want to give you all accurate translations (including subtext, inferences, nuance, and implications), but on the other hand I've had to navigate the TOS, and be careful as to how I phrase it.

Disgusting excuse of a man.
I'm glad he confessed but I hope he doesn't get a lighter sentence because of it.

Not to mention all those friends and family who would have comforted him at the funeral and memorial and all the days in between. I wonder how many of them were suspicious of his story.

Great to know the Websleuths hinky meter flagged this on page 1! Nothing seemed right, did it...

RIP Caroline, and condolences to her loved ones, especially little Lydia who will never remember her mummy :(

Thank you for explaining this. It's good to hear an expert talking :)
Haha I wouldn’t say ‘expert’ but I do have a little more knowledge than the average bear ( as per Jungle Book the movie lol )

Maybe I'm too sensitive but I believe that he didn't meant to kill her in the first place.. I belive when he heard she's going to leave with the baby he got angry, he panicked that he's going to loose his baby and did what he did.. That's why it took him so many hours to organize it and call the police...

After all, justice will come.. If he didn't meant to kill her and it was an accident because he was really upset at that time, then he already lives in hell in his mind.. He'll never be able to get over it...

Anyways RIP Caroline. Poor baby, has no idea about the story she's going to hear when she's grown up.. Hope she can have the best support from psychologists and family members...

Both families are the victims of his terrible crime. For Caroline's and B's parents life has ended. Absolute torment will accompany them till their death. And his parents additional burden is Shame.

Still saying strangled in press. Is there still a differing opinion/translation of strangulation v suffocation ongoing?

So they were arguing too in hours before her death. Always felt suspicious this case right from the start.

We've been over this many times in these threads. Strangulation appears to be a mistranslation being used in some English-language media, as the cause of death, per all Greek sources, is suffocation.

More info here:

3:10 reporter: (apparently referring to B's earlier statements to LE) "(CC) was killed with a pillow, which closed her mouth and nose" (suffocation)

this confirms my earlier speculation (in the first thread) that a pillow was used for the suffocation
we'll see if my speculation that she was attacked while asleep will be confirmed later. MOO
