Even though that Greek source says "strangled," it's an English-language Greek source.

I think it is a mistranslation of πνίγω which can mean drown, strangle, suffocate, or choke, depending on the context. And I think the reporter is doing a lazy translation, and not checking the context here. If he checked the context, the best translation is "suffocated."

Drowning, choking, smothering and strangling are all examples of asphyxiation so maybe since they know she was asphyxiated they assumed she was strangled?

From that very early (in the case) media interview with crime editor Lambropoulos, your feelings and instincts regarding the full implications of Lambropoulous' usage of the word ανατροπή, "plot twist" or "overturning/refutation (of the narrative)" were 100% correct!

That man has earned my respect. He was such a professional, and was always asking the right questions. Kudos to the entire police force, as well. It seems they had him under their radar since the very beginning, but let him believe that they were investigating a "robbery", instead of him. They even managed to extract a confession, which is huge. I just hope that this doesn't mean that he's gonna serve less time. Jail time is already a joke in Greece.
Still how I wish me, and you, and mr Lambropoulos, and all of us who suspected him were wrong....

We had the MSM reporter today saying that, according to B's earlier statements, CC was suffocated with a pillow. Since B has now confessed to her murder, I think it's fair to assume that suffocation with a pillow was the cause of death (assuming the MSM report is accurate).

So I think the word "strangled" here is a lazy translation, which is better translated as "suffocation", until I see some concrete reporting to change my mind.

Just thinking about Caroline's parents, he attended her funeral and memorial playing the grieving husband. And he's been caring for their baby knowing he killed her Mummy.
And that poor dog too!

I think he was a total control freak and he was loosing the control he had over Caroline.

Yes, the cause of death was said to be asphyxiation due to suffocation, but I was wondering if it was a word similar to asphyxiation that was mistranslated, since I thought you said it was a word that can mean choking, suffocation, drowning, or strangulation. Imo
