I also got this bit in my google translation:

Caroline may have known something about his professional activities. The perpetrator should explain where he found the black money "he said and added " these are facts that we can not tell publicly to the viewers. "If at some point the truth comes out, everyone will rub their eyes .

"Black" money can refer to lawfully obtained income that was hidden from and never declared to the tax authorities (i.e. tax evasion), but it could also be money that was obtained unlawfully, in other words, from criminal activities.

I know the names and initials are confusing and hard to keep track of, but you mean AK instead of K.

Here's a reminder to everyone, especially those new to the thread:

K: George Kalliakmanis, President of the Association of Police Officers (in the region of) Southeast Attica
AK: Athanasios Katerinopoulos, Brigadier General, Honorary President of the Officers of the Greek Police
Thank you for clearing that up. I was confused about that, too. I assume "president" is the same as "chief" of police? Which one would be closer to the investigation?

AK has been making the rounds on Greek media, dropping hints and metaphors all over the place. I will post some translations and all of us sleuthers can see if we can figure out what is going on.
I sent the whole episode (2 hrs hmmm) of this Tounel programem with K. It is on previous page.

My money is on it being from criminal activities.

I keep a little list of Eng/Greek versions of the names of the people involved, and who they are, because otherwise, I won't remember.

Γλυκά Νερά: Έτσι σκότωσα την Καρολάιν – Πώς περιέγραψε ο πιλότος τις κρίσιμες στιγμές στους αστυνομικούς
I'm enraged. Up until this morning, everyone in Greece was grieving for Caroline. But now, that parts of her diary have been made public, and after B stated that he was scared Caroline could probably harm their baby, things have changed. Now I keep hearing everywhere "Of course I don't think that the murder is justified, but....
  • "it turns out she was aggressive and she was belittling him!"
  • "she was provocative while in high school and she made him fall for her!"
  • "she didn't have to marry him, she could have left any time she wanted!"
  • "by all accounts he loved her, her actions caused him to kill her"
  • "his only fault was that he stayed with her through all her problems, and didn't break up with her or sent her back to her mother"
So poor B had to endure a relationship with a crazy woman that was abusing him and had seduced him in the first place, he even made the mistake to love her so much, that instead of dumping her, he stayed with her, until the point he couldn't take it any more and he killed her. That was not so nice of him but, well, she provoked him, and, under different circumstances, he wouldn't have hurt a fly.
I may have to take a step back from this case, because it's actually starting to take a toll on me as well.
C seemed to suffer from full blown post natal depression. What she writes in her diary are text book symptoms. She was left without help.

Here are the ranks of Greek LE explained in a chart with English

Hellenic Police - Wikipedia

His rank is Ταξίαρχος, which is translated on the chart as Police Brigadier General

I don't necessarily think it was post natal depression. I predict her depression was the result of narcissistic abuse which had got worse over time.

I would like to know more about whether the criminal activities could have occurred in Souda, Crete where Babis went in April this year, if there could be a Turkish connection and whether the land he bought was the result of money laundering.

Those are my thoughts too.

That seems to be the implication from AK. Because tax evasion is relatively common in Greece, so a revelation of tax evasion would be met with a figurative yawn or shrug of the shoulders by the general populace IMO.

Unpredictible mood swings she described are caused by hormonalnal changes. But of course B's attitude didn't help.

In Poland if a woman suffers from post natal depression she contacts her local GP doctor and she is sent IMMEDIATELLY to a specialist. But we have free NHS. Nobody would ever dream of going to strange "therapists".

Perhaps B was involved with a seriously evil group, ie drugdealing, robbery, murder, etc. If B let something slip to C, she was intelligent enough to work out the rest. Perhaps B told his fellow criminals that he had inadvertedly let something out to C . Then maybe the boss ordered B to kill C. That might explain a few things, eg the man in the dark car.

But why all this theatre??? He might have staged some "accident" during their travels.

Maleviziotis June 18: B's brother, Fotis, stayed behind on the island to support C's mother, after the police took B away and apparently it's shocking? I don't understand, then again, it is auto translated.

Perhaps C came across a stash of cash in the house and demanded to know where he got the money from.

I did wonder about the bullet proof vest when it was first reported he was wearing one.
Seems as if the police were worried someone might shoot him to stop him talking.

Certainty there are more chapters to this story.

You normally only see the perp wearing a bullet proof vest and surrounded by the entire S.W.A.T. team in cases of terrorism or organized crime. So what's going on here? Something else? What?

I understood that both families were shocked and never suspected anything. In fact, B's family is held in great esteem, both parents are highly educated, mother is a headmistress of high school.

I wrote earlier that K said we all would be amazed - and he didn't mean B arrest.
