I understood that both families were shocked and never suspected anything. In fact, B's family is held in great esteem, both parents are highly educated, mother is a headmistress of high school.

No, I mean, why is it shocking that Fotis stayed on the island instead of going with B?

Oh, I didn't catch it in this text:)

I wrote earlier that K said we all would be amazed - and he didn't mean B arrest.

You mean AK.

I know the names and initials are confusing and hard to keep track of, but you mean AK instead of K.

Here's a reminder to everyone, especially those new to the thread:

K: George Kalliakmanis, President of the Association of Police Officers (in the region of) Southeast Attica
AK: Athanasios Katerinopoulos, Brigadier General, Honorary President of the Officers of the Greek Police

Maleviziotis June 19:

The medical examiner notes that C's heart rate indicated she was asleep from 1:41 until B started to suffocate her. Geez Louise, B, why lie when there's all this technology around?

You normally only see the perp wearing a bullet proof vest and surrounded by the entire S.W.A.T. team in cases of terrorism or organized crime. So what's going on here? Something else? What?
I had thought that maybe they were worried that someone might try to take justice into their own hands, given how highly charged this case is in Greece. But now I'm leaning towards thinking that B was involved in something much more sinister

I read the shocking as relating to what B had done and the whole case being shocking.

Where did they get the 80k from? Pilots are well paid but that seems like

Maybe they got money from both families? Parents usually help their children.

Yes, and who do you mean????

You remember that LE from the last thread who I described as like Columbo? That was George Kalliakmanis. He was always talking in hypotheticals and hinting around as to B's guilt. He's still talking to media about this case. We can call him "GK" if it makes it easier for everyone to keep track.

AK is the Brigadier General.

C seemed to suffer from full blown post natal depression. What she writes in her diary are text book symptoms. She was left without help.

The postpartum (or postnatal) period begins immediately after childbirth as the mother's body, including hormone levels and uterus size, returns to a non-pregnant state. The terms puerperium, puerperal period, or immediate postpartum period are commonly used to refer to the first six weeks following childbirth.

So he didn't just snap and kill her in the heat of the moment then, as he "confessed" to.

Thanks. But her mood swings started immediately after childbirth. Of course, both factors played role: hormonal and toxic relationship. What I dont get is why wasn't she supervised by a midwife during the first 12 months after the birth of Lydia. Where I live young mothers meet medical personel at least once a month - both mum and a baby are monitored very closely!!!!

Yes I agree. So was she not aware of this or did B refuse to take her or did B think she just needed to see the Psychologist?

AK has been making the rounds on Greek media, dropping hints and metaphors all over the place. I will post some translations and all of us sleuthers can see if we can figure out what is going on.

I am waiting with baited breath for you to post the hints and metaphors which you have claimed that AK has been dropping hints about.

I wonder if part of her diagnosis included bloodwork. Sometimes hormonal issues can be due to thyroid problems. Didn't she say something in her diary about her hormones causing her to be angry even before the pregnancy?

Maybe C and B received a visitor earlier in the night and C became privy to some secrets which sealed her fate later?
