"The husband of murdered Briton Caroline Crouch asked prison guards what people were saying about him as he languished in solitary confinement ahead of his first court appearance today."

"Guards told Greek media today he has remained calm since his confession despite public outcry - acting 'like the lead in a crime drama' while insisting that he should avoid a life sentence so he can be a part of his daughter's life upon release."

He's loving the drama. Deluded narcissist who probably believes his own narrative.

So an eye for an eye? LE isn't Old Testament, it's supposed to follow procedures and laws and stuff, not spend 4 days beating a suspect, whether he's guilty of the crime or not.
You know - I would take his words with a pinch of salt. If you ask whatever prisoner about his guilt they always claim they are innocent. Didn't LE say his DNA was connected to brutal robbery where an old man later died? I bet sb informed Police about this guy, thats why he was caught at the border. Fake documents? :) I dont think Greek police use torture - it is Europe for God's sake!

From the above mail article:

Meanwhile guards at Athens Police Headquarters, where Anagnostopoulos was being held, told Greek news site Ta Nea that he has show little remorse or regret for his actions during his time behind bars.

They said he woke up on Saturday - the day after his confession - 'quite cheerful' and told them that he should be allowed to continue raising his daughter instead of ending up in jail.

Rather than showing concern for his murdered wife or her family - whom he lied to for almost six weeks while playing the grieving widower - his only concern is said to be for baby Lydia.

He has even told guards that he would like the 11-month-old to be raised by Caroline's parents and his parents as part of a joint custody arrangement - at least until he walks free and can care for himself.

Guards say he remains calm and composed under the watchful eye of 24-hour security cameras fitted in his cell.

Since the confession, he has been visited by his brother who brought him a book and clothes, and has used a phone card to call other relatives.

We don't know, but he must have physical evidence, ya?

You could be right. It had to be someone close to B. His family seems to have turned his back on him and I doubt a friend would have done it for him, although it's possible.

At any rate, things are not looking good for Babis. The evidence against him is overwhelming. If he was a real man he would plead guilty to the crime and accept his sentence.

It makes sense that B must have asked his lawyer to leak the diaries to the press unless B himself did it. That is why I think he wrote them himself.

That's why CC's parents should have custody of Lydia as they live far away from the prison on an island and I doubt that they would take Lydia there to see her father.

It's a wonder he hasn't asked that he bring up Lydia in the prison!

It's all up to the courts who gets custody, but as it stands, under Greek law, killing your wife doesn't exclude you as a parent with rights. He hasn't been guilty of domestic abuse previously?

Macho Man

He's not a man at all. He's not even a human being.

A "life sentence" in Greece DOES NOT MEAN A LIFE SENTENCE. Bobby the Pilot will only serve 3 YEARS in prison, due to good behavior or working in a prison job!!

Be sure he will ask visits of the infant - why else he wants to be placed as close to her as possible? Didn't anybody from his family and friends notice how disturbed he is???

Hopefully the judge has noticed what the public's opinion is about this case and he gets the maximum sentence possible.

Oh, he is a human being all right. A man can be the most honourable and the most despicable being on Earth. Thats human nature.

Oh, you mean, like the Georgian who was falsely accused while LE allegedly knew it was B the whole time? Give a read to this Ef Syn article from today to get your blood boiling.

"I was tied to a chair for four days. I was beaten very badly by the police, I was dizzy and when one of them was tired, the other continued. They did not ask me anything, they just told me to confess that I killed the girl. I did not know what girl they were talking about. They told me "You killed her". I later learned that her husband had killed her and that I was being accused of theft. I have nothing to do with any theft. I only had fake papers. "
Good article, and a reminder of how "reliable police sources" anonymously promoted the criminal migrant boogie man and media all went wild with it. "A short one and two tall ones" haha.
Now the police say they knew it was the husband from day one, I guess the racist scapegoating was just their regular old side game, "let's beat it out of them anyway!"
The Georgian without proper papers now asks, how many more migrants are in prison for crimes committed by the local citizens?
And what about foreign nationalities he accused??? I bet Albanian, Georgian, Gypsy/Roma... inmates arent too happy about the fact the murderer wanted to pin his crime on their compatriots. General population???Ouch!!!
And remember how Babis recognized the language because he's such a worldly helo traveler?
They were speaking Albanian! Bulgarian! Georgian! Let's throw in some "Gypsies/Gyftoi", a favorite scapegoat, they were speaking Balkan Romani!
The press named them all.
All these languages are distinct linguistically, the only thing they have in common is an ugly stereotype.

And btw, Georgia man is in the infamous Korydallos, Babis' new home.

By the way, in my opinion the Journal/Diary is authentic. C struggled with emotions and putting them "on paper" helped her. She encrypted her writing and obviously LE decoded them. I dont think B even knew about it. But sb in LE leaked them, choosing only the most incriminating fragments. As I wrote before - SHAME On You!!! These were the private thoughts of a tortured soul and hands off them!! Only judge and jurors should be privy to them - not bloodthirsty mob.

Where I live the word Babis, pronounced like Bobby, is the word for pigs.
