Greta - August 21, 1008

Just for a moment lets assume that LE does have evidence that Caylee is dead & that her body was in the trunk. I pray to God that this is not the case but for the sake of arguement lets assume that they do.They still don't know where the body is & the moment they charge Casey the clock starts ticking on the right to a speedy trial. I think it's to their benefit to let as much time go by as possible before charging her. It gives them time to build their case & hope that the her body is discovered....JMO

They are not going to blow this one by going too soon. There is NO statute of limitations on murder and they have nothing to gain by filing charges too soon.

I wonder if they have what they need for the case against Casey, but feel someone else is involved and tightening up that noose first so they have someone to turn state's evidence. When more than one is involved, it is amazing how they "squeal like a banshee" to stop from going to jail themselves.

oh yeah - and how they felt uncomfortable in the jail (thinking they were bugged) so he had to lean in CLOSE to her? I told myself I would watch NG and then read my mag and go to bed - now I've turned it to Greta and I'm pissed!

There it is again. He's offering up too much information! I keep seeing this type of behavior when each one of these players start talking.

I'm not gonna be able to NOT form opinions on this if it doesn't stop! That little piece on leaving the jail and her squishing cheeks with Baez, that just gave me the oddest feeling. She looks receptive to him, intimate. NOT scared and hiding her face.

I sure hope they have gotten the warrant and are bugging the place. It may be the only way to get anything on this wench and if it is possible to get a bug on the house I don't know why the judge wouldn't allow it. I just wonder if there is a law that they have to let them know their house is bugged or being listened into. BUT, I don't think Casey is going to say anything at all anyway that is the truth and will be helpful to find Caylee. If she says anything it will all be lies.
IMO They have (warrant)

They do (have equip in place - prob for a while now)

and

They are (currently can prob hear a gnat fart in that house 24/7)

But not to worry.... she gets to play the killer!

That's it - there is (at least) one more people involved. Count on it.

If they have that proof then they don't need a body.

OH man I agree with you there - but in this case we are dealing with a 22 year old party girl. She does not have half the intelligence or education or life experience that Peterson has. She doesn't even "lie" good - now I know - pathological liar - she's been lying for years BUT she has only had to make up unadult lies (meaning she had not reached the stage of adulthood. Lying and stealing from friends and family are a lot more common in families today.

Think...........WHO does have that experience and was in LE?

If Casey is tried and convicted of felony child neglect, and later evidence is found to prove she murdered Caylee, they cannot prosecute her for murder. It's similar to Double Jeopardy. I'll find the website for that and post it.

This is exactly why I believe she is alive. Ok - we know they have had prelim results for a LONG time now. The others - well maybe not ALL but - oh yea - they have some.

Its either inconclusive or its not Caylee. If LE can say in a somewhat positive manner that Caylee is dead - they would have let the family know. Its past cruel with the amount of time now.

Maybe they did & the family refuses to believe it.

I picked up on the same thing. I got the impression she was "working" him.

They may have told the family, but they just don't believe it. They discount every other piece of evidence that Casey is a liar, what would stop them from saying the dna was wrong.

I'm still convinced LE is going to come through.

For them this case is a bit like making slow-cooked comfort food. They've started off with the basic ingredients (not prime cuts, either). Add a bit of this, and a bit of that. Then put it on the back-burner and let it simmer over low, steady heat - WITH THE LID ON. Stir only as needed. And at the end of the day, you have satisfying comfort food.

Call it Justice Chili

i think the reason they are waiting is because they are still colelcting and sifting thru evidence.

if they pull the trigger to quick then it hurts their case

the other thing is - a dead body scent in the trunk will be used by the defense that the KIDNAPPER or FRIEND borrowed or stole the car and killed the baby.

nawwwwwwwwww.. LE has a lot of info we have no idea about

i will bet 1000.00 bucks they NAIL her BIG TIME

Well now that's a very loaded question when discussing this case. Let's see:

1) George - GRANDFATHER - last person (other than POI) to see Caylee alive.

2) JG - EX BOYFRIEND/FINANCEE - was thought once to be bio (suppsd paternity test taken and proven not)

3) Ricardo - EX BOYFRIEND/new boyfrend of Amy - has only been "alluded" to as being ex-LE, not be confirmed or verified if this is and if he is ex-LE what department, division, rank, etc.

Now which one are YOU thinking?

Although, given the Anthony's staunch defense & outright lies on Casey's behalf... LE might have good motivation to hold off tipping their hand to a family who has made their job so much more difficult.

They're not required by law to tell the family WHEN they get results in, are they??? I doubt it.

I agree from a moral point of view they should BUT I think their first responsibility is to the VICTIM. And if the victim is dead, LE will want the person responsible to pay the price.

Caylee's the ONLY one LE owes anything to, imo.

I know they don't need a body but it would certainly help their case. What I'm trying to say is that why should LE rush to file charges. I think it's in their best interest to do a slow & methodical investigation & leave no stone unturned .....so to speak.

I don't understand why the DA has only until Nov. Why are the two charges even connected?

Because they both involve the same circumstance..Caylee being missing.

It is double jeopardy in Florida, from what I understand, to charge someone twice in the same crime.

Therefore, they can either charge her with neglect because her daughter is missing, which they have ...or they can charge her with murder. But if she stands trial for the current charges, then they can't retry the case under new charges. So November is their deadline to find out the truth about what happened to Caylee. No worries..I think that the DA is way ahead and has alot of evidence to show that Casey was involved in Caylee's murder and the coverup..which we are viewing now.

that's what I was just wondering about, it's one thing to perpetuate a lie to people who don't know you have a child, but did she think she was just never going to bring Caylee around Tony etc again?

I think there is a lot of differing opinions on that by the lawyers, but either way they will charge her before her hearing if they plan to anytime soon.

My brother is an attorney and he says that is not protected under double jeopardy and gave me case law to support his position. I will see if I can find it for you.
