I commend you on your bravery!! I have stated from the beginning that I thought Caylee is alive, and have caught a lot of crap for it. Someone even wanted to know how to ignore me because of it. And I wasn't really trying to argue, just voice my opinion....welcome to the other side. Although it does get quite lonely at times! :-)

I believe about 90% that Caylee is no longer alive, and I base it on the dog hits and how Casey never asks if anyone has news of her, plus the party pics, etc. But if you take away the dog hits, it seems that everything would fit with her selling Caylee.

On the other hand, if she sold Caylee, why would she need a shovel to dig up the bamboo?

Anyway, 10% she sold her child, IMO.

Maybe they did & the family refuses to believe it.
I respectfully have to say no - if LE had notified the family (aka GP's & Lee) - they (GP's & Lee) would have not been able to contain that info within extended family. We already know of an Uncle and there is 2 sides - Cindy's mom (who is in contact with Uncle) and George's side as well. Holly - family TV friend - they would have told someone - way too many chances for a leak.

I honestly believe that conversation (LE confirming Caylee is "most likely" dead to GP's) has not taken place as of yet.

They are not going to blow this one by going too soon. There is NO statute of limitations on murder and they have nothing to gain by filing charges too soon.

I wonder if they have what they need for the case against Casey, but feel someone else is involved and tightening up that noose first so they have someone to turn state's evidence. When more than one is involved, it is amazing how they "squeal like a banshee" to stop from going to jail themselves.

Like how you think, Turbo! Hoping with fingers crossed that you are right. What makes me believe your theory is that LE has been REALLY quiet. Think of ALL the info they have at their disposal....forensics, credit card receipts, the testimony of TonE and Amy (who we have NEVER seen or heard from).

Although, given the Anthony's staunch defense & outright lies on Casey's behalf... LE might have good motivation to hold off tipping their hand to a family who has made their job so much more difficult.

They're not required by law to tell the family WHEN they get results in, are they??? I doubt it.

I agree from a moral point of view they should BUT I think their first responsibility is to the VICTIM. And if the victim is dead, LE will want the person responsible to pay the price.

Caylee's the ONLY one LE owes anything to, imo.
I agree....Also, the Fact that Cindy washed the pants & George did who knows what to the car could mean that they are facing possible charges themselves......who knows?

that's what I was just wondering about, it's one thing to perpetuate a lie to people who don't know you have a child, but did she think she was just never going to bring Caylee around Tony etc again?

She could be like Scott Peterson and tell him that Caylee died. Then she could mourn for a little and go on with her life. What she planned to tell her parents, I have no idea.

They may have told the family, but they just don't believe it. They discount every other piece of evidence that Casey is a liar, what would stop them from saying the dna was wrong.

They DID go to the Anthony's this week to "talk to them alone."

You have a good point.

So basically what Baez is saying is that they have come up with a defense strategy that will address her fear of telling people what happened to Caylee and still offer up anonymity. They have to keep the perps anonymous so that they are not questioned why she did not persue them. So....now if she gets out of jail and starts giving up info, specific info on how to "find Caylee", then that will hurt her defense because it will crush the anonymity factor...so basically the new excuse for not talking is....it will ruin the current defense strategy if the specific info she provides does not produce Caylee. Apparently her attorney has no faith in any information she would provide or felt the info she was planning on providing to her family (lies) should not be givin. It's all about the defense strategy. She has been told, "if you cannot give info that you are 100% sure will bring Caylee home alive, don't give any at all". It could be used against her in court and even her atty knows she is full of sh**!!!!

huh???

I picked up on the same thing. I got the impression she was "working" him.

I'm beginning to get the impression that they already knew each other. That's not the way I was prepared to feel either.

If she was still lying to them about being pregnant at 7 months with the "evidence" obvious, WHY would she tell them the truth now?

I really don't think so either. The original point I was trrying to make was that if LE does have the DNA back & that they have proof that Caylee is dead & that she was in the trunk why would they rush to file charges. I just think it would be in their best interest to wait as long as they can ..Cross their T's & dot their I's

And don't you believe BECAUSE CAYLEE is the only one LE owes anything to - out of HER respect - to hold off notifying HER FAMILY - flesh and blood - by NOT telling them and letting this dog and pony show circus continue. IMO that doesn't work for either side. If they have somewhat definitive results - this will come out eventually - has to. When that big reveal takes place and we all find out LE knew she was dead in July (early Aug)- and its now like what? NOVEMBER is trial date - but let's say they wait until SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER - OMG how will the pbulic perceive LE then? "You mean they knew back in early August and didn't tell those people - well no wonder they acted as weird as they did." That is a double edged sword.

I find it very offensive that someone from MD calls solw talker liars. I absolutely love that slow southern drawl. Calling us liars is well if I say it I will be banned.

Uh what? Did you quote the wrong post by mistake? I agree with you. :)

I agree and said something similar earlier...I'm sure that's how she handles all men. It's just for manipulation.

IMO she didn't sell her. Doesn't fit with her stealing and abandoning the car - if she had sold her - she would have "disappeared" long before Cindy was able to drag her out of Tony's. Not that she wouldn't have been "around" - she could have gotten her "own place" and hid right there in plain sight!

Does anyone know if it is legal for LE to put some bugs at the Anthony home and not tell them? IF it is do you think they have done that?

The phones have probably been bugged for awhile now but I doubt they could get a warrant for the house until Casey got there. I know from the Scott Peterson case that they aren't allowed to listen or record anything between client and attorney. It's my opinion from what's being said by the defense in this case that privilege would also apply to any listening devices in the house while he is present.

They really aren't that forthcoming with information--even if you are a family member. They nicely tell you to call if you have any questions and they give you a few facts, but nothing that they don't want everyone to know.

If they have that proof then they don't need a body.

They will have a body soon...........it will have "washed up" with this rain.

  • #240
Think...........WHO does have that experience and was in LE?

Are you hinting at George or Jesse G (or even Ricardo-was it ever determined if he was LE?)?
