It would have to be on a regular phone, because she only make collect calls. I don't know how many people his age have a house phone anymore, everything is through a cell phone. Plus, aren't all jail calls taped?
The jails use a company now that requires a prepaid acct be set up on the phone the inmate will be calling. It can be either a land line or cell phone.

Baez wants sanctions against Prosecutors office because
they can not provide the white bag the tow operator threw
out of the Pontiac. It is sent to out of state experts -
but experts not on witness list.

Baez is such a pain in my you know what. He is always whining about something. I'll bet he will delay this trial for as long as he can cause he will think of all kinds of reasons for delays delays delays.

What white bag is he talking about? I don't remember ever hearing about a white bag in the car...just the one that Caylee was found in.

How did the out of state experts get the bag if the tow operator threw it out of the car? I'm really confused. Doesn't Baez get it that he can check things out AFTER the Pros is done with them...the jerk.

Lee's lawyer says that police have not contacted him to speak to Lee ......
so what's the issue????
Lee's lawyer also says that Lee does not think his sister is responsible for his niece's death....greta asked "who does he think is responsible for Caylee's death?" and the lawyer said that Lee did not know at this point that the investigation is on going...blah blah blah...

The Anthonys don't believe that Casey murdered Caylee but I sure haven't heard of any of them trying to find out who the real killer is...has anyone here? You would think they would be beating the bushes trying to find the person who did this if they think Casey is innocent.

I am not sure what the laws are in Florida regarding an attorney passing any sort of written communique between an inmate and someone not in custody, but in most places this is considered against the law. All written correspondence by an inmate is typically subject to scrutiny by law enforcement.

Baez better hope that if he DID pass any sort of written communications, that they were destroyed and not gathered into evidence during search warrants at the Anthony home.

If there was any type of written correspondence and Baez was playing "mailman," it is possible that he could face yet another investigation by the state bar.

Does anyone know what the law is in Florida regarding this type of action on the part of an attorney?

I don't know what the law is in Florida but in most jails and prisons the mail is opened and gone through by a guard when it is going out and coming in. It isn't read but they check for contraband of any kind. I would guess that Baez isn't supposed to be doing this.

Thanks but my computer won't go to pdf files darn it. Now I see why I didn't know anything about the white bag. I miss out on so darn much not getting the pdf files!

The white bag refers to the garbage bag that held, among other things, the torn up pizza box, several frozen food containers (emptied), as well as a receipt from Tony's roommate, dated sometime in May (if I recall correctly). In any case, this bag was the one that the tow yard guy and George saw in the trunk, maggots in and around said bag. The yard guy grabbed it and pitched it into a bin near the fence. The bag was later retrieved by LE and now Jose is saying it was never shown as evidence when Henry Lee examined the garbage.

It was also my understanding that maggots and pupa were collected as well and sent to an entemologist and that Baez also wants the results of those tests...

The white bag is out of state with some experts. I believe part of the rub is that those experts are not on the witness list.

Adobe, the company that makes the software for PDF files, has a page with tools to convert PDF files to text or html. I think you have to use the html conversion in order to see any pictures in the pdf files.

Here's the link:

Hope this helps!

There was discussion a while back in another thread about KC communicating via phone. The conclusion was that cell phones *without* cameras can be brought into the jail, and KC can use them, so her attornies could bring a cell phone without camera on their visits, and she can talk to whomever she pleases. Think of all those very long visits... This is what I think she has been doing for communications with her family since October. She seems lazy to me, and I just can't see her sitting and writing out letters long-hand. Short notes, maybe, but not letters. She's a talker, Cindy's a talker. I think they talk on a cell phone.

On passing letters, again, in another thread this was discussed, and the conclusion was that it is legal for KC's attorney to pass letters back and forth. He has the right to read them, and to decide that it is not in her best interest, or his own best interest, to pass them on, in part or in whole. I think her attorney(s) may pass notes back and forth. I doubt either KC or her family would like the idea of KC's attorney reading what they say. They are all so secretive.

Aren't the witness and evidence lists dynamic? They can be changed throughout the pre trial process so I really don't see what the gripe is from the defense side.

I'm sure once the forensics come back they will be logged and addressed if they contain any relevant information.

It would have to be contact thru letters and such...I often wonder if LE got those "letters" during the search warrant....
