Yes, they will sentence him and then the deputies will escort him out that side door. At least that's what they did for Brad Cooper.

On another note, I expect an appeal to be filed pretty quick though.

Off the top of my head, the doll-play & reporting of what CY said was the the one issue I saw with a strenuous objection.

JY cannot appeal the outcome (verdict), just the legal rulings or procedures during the trial and their bearing on his right to a fair trial.

I think he's done - this was a pretty well-run and fair trial IMO.

ETA - unless something extremely exculpatory arises in the future (i.e. someone else confesses or is proven the killer)

Gosh, I'm just incredibly sad. It brings this case full circle for me. A beautiful little girl loses both parents, a family who loses a daughter, sister, friend. There will be no gloating here - I think the verdict is just. I do worry about CY and the future she has to face (can you imagine).

Thanks to everyone for all the updates (I watched the first trial, and didn't spend so much time on the re-trial but read the boards).

The reaction from JY is quite telling to me as well. He's about to lose his freedom, and nothing. Shock? Maybe he finally wants to have a good nights sleep like Scott Peterson, after finally having to face what he did. I don't know.
