GUILTY - Sidney Moorer, Obstruction of Justice Trial, Heather Elvis case, 28 Aug 2017 #1

Jury panel was asked if anyone has any connection to the attorneys in this case, Horry County public defender, or Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson. One man stood up and said he is an attorney in town and knew several of the attorneys from his work, but he said that he wouldn't let those relationships affect any decisions he may be asked to make in this case. Another man stood up and said he was a distant cousin of Jimmy Richardson. But he answered the same. The judge allowed them to stay.

The indictment was read off by the judge and he asked the panel if they knew anything about it or had read anything about it prior to being called today. About 6-8 people stood up. They were then asked if they could remain unbiased in any decisions they would have to make. Two people excused.
