What's the consensus in our group here? Did he see a photo or did he not?

I believe he SAW the photo. He lied to his mother - my first thought was before I heard the explanation of his - is that he didn't want her to know that he had seen a photo & had said nothing to LE.

Really it didn't benefit him to lie about the photo. So I think he DID see.

During re-direct the prosecution asked if Demarino got anything in return for his statement and he said no. The prosecution asked if Demarino was telling the truth to the jury and Heather Elvis' family. He said yes. @WBTWNews13

I don't know whether to believe he saw a photo of a dead HE on Sidney's phone. I do know that Heather's family will be forever grateful for his testimony.
I think he is a lost soul.

Current witness. Just this past Monday he did a search of how many missing persons reports were filed in Horry County for Heather Elvis. There was just the one. (They are counteracting the defense's position that Heather had gone missing before, and the whole T-Mobile note to Terry in July).

Well, I don't believe him that he didn't tell anyone else about the picture. I can't decide if I believe him or not.

The State didn't ask him to describe any of the clothing that Heather was wearing in the photo, and I think if he'd been asked and was able to describe anything that was similar to what Bri said that Heather would have been wearing, I would be less likely to disbelieve this witness.

Michael Kathman takes the stand next. He was a detective with the Horry County Police Department back in 2013. He says he was tasked with figuring out how many times she went missing. He says only once in Dec. of 2013.

I believe him. I was less than honest with my mom on a few occasions because I knew she would worry herself sick otherwise, so that's a very plausible reason for me.

The prosecutors office asked Kathman to search to see if there were any harassment complaints filed by the Moorer's in 2013. Kathman said there were none. Defense starting cross examination @WBTWNews13
